My two cents. Jason Brown is definitely being attacked because we are living in the obsessed technology age of social media. Let me put it in simple terms this show is not called First Chance U, Second Chance U, Or Third Chance U. It is called Last Chance U. Yes, he certainly gives them tough love despite the disagreement for his approach his numbers for D1 scholarships prove that his technique is successful. It so sad that in todays time being real is consider a negative. Vince Jethrow it’s cause everyone goes Hollywood when the cameras are on. Not like Buddy changed as a person at all. He’s still an ass most coaches are. He just wins.
I think Netflix made him look bad, of course he didn't handle things everyone agree with. But editing is a bitch, we all know that. His hard is in the right place, it's a hard world in sports. I played American Football in Dallas and this is not different then most places. Now it's shocking because of the cameras and the editing. He should deserve a chance with a great team to prove himself and handle it better than he did before.
And btw the German guy is a bitch for opening up about the text. In Europe where I'm from and now living, we all make stupid jokes about history. Don't take things to serious, we moved on beyond that point in time
Marcellus Wiley clearly understood the nuance of what Coach JB was trying to convey. That has everything to do with his understanding of the environments and influences that the athletes come from. Let's be real, we're talking about young black athletes coming from a culture where love has been tossed around solely because of the dollar signs they represent on the field/court/etc. JB understands that, and if you watch the show you can clearly see the respect players have for him on a personal level. I'm not shocked at all Whitlock doesn't get that. He's the same dude who wouldn't stand up for Kaep. He's been the other side of woke for a while.
Anthony Teague He did! That’s why Marce was rubbin his stash when he asked it. Real does recognize real. Let’s call it though. JB screwed up by enabling that guy in his text. He tried to bond too much with unimportant people. Snitches are everywhere. Real dudes are learning the hard way that youngins are not cut from the same clothe. Also, people aren’t standing up for anyone because they can’t take the heat. Marce ended with “My man!”

Exactly, what coach is asking for that job, basically no one. He’s no where near perfect and he’ll tell you that. But he knows he’s the right guy so that’s why he chooses to do it.
I can't judge coach brown off of 8 hours of film that gets edited. What I can say is that he definitely is a real one and it seems his players actually do like him as a coach/person. And stats don't lie, he's gotten all those kids scholarships which means he doing something right. Most ppl don't understand that if a coach is chewing you out that means he cares enough to chew you out cause he knows the potential you have. If a coach doesn't then he doesn't care what you do and doesn't believe in you. And coach brown chewed out his players AND coaches, only to make them better/mentally tough.
The guy on the far right is a hater. Given how he's attacking Coach Brown, he seems real bitter that he never got higher on the depth chart than 2nd string JV. He'd be a problem in the locker room.

Watched season 4 and coach Brown is a great recruiter but a horrible coach, when they were losing he blamed everyone else except him, that’s why he cut the coaches and the players. I do agree that a lot of the successful people are very hard to deal with and we would probably look at nick saban differently if he had a camera on him 24/7.
Coaching these new generation of kids is hard, watching the documentary of coach Jason Brown- sure he maybe a hard ass but that’s his mentality as a football coach. Folks don’t know how coaches come up in different ways, everyone’s situation is different. You can’t assume that coaches are going to be soft, you’re gonna have those who are going to have that mentality. All they want to do is help players succeed not only in sports but life.
Them ppl playing football for Coach Brown are grown men. Cussing doesn't bother them I guarantee it. Coach Brown was from an inner city and he could relate to the kids and they could relate to him. I'm from the streets too and Coach Brown aint for everyone but hes the type of coach I would run through a wall for. Yea there are other ways to do it but his way can work too. I'm black and a lot of coaches dont relate to the minorities at all and if you look at the NFL it's mainly black. Feeling like your Coach understands you and cares really means a lot. Obviously Jason Brown was helping kids a lot too. A lot of ppl throughout the show speak on it but they didn't show much of that. I understand they only have so much time and they have a ton of footage, but damn.
Obviously they filmed it so that it looked like he was drinking right then and there he was in is house drinking probably filmed at the end of season these interviewers are wack
It was a hard season, with a BAD group. Sometimes you have this. I think about will muschamp. When he was at florida and had urban meyers horrible character players, he was a general and yelling in their face, he wasnt like that with any other team and isnt like that at south carolina. Is he hard nosed yes, thats who some coaches are and its football, its personality, it works. Every kid is different. Every kid on his team this past season needed to hear everything he was saying. Unfortunately he has to work with players who are immature, think their talent can carry them, dont work, dont really care, dont really know what it takes to make it. When they get 25 they will. Lets not forget the old senile senior citizens who have seen half a million in their lives combined who thought that was too much money for a practice Field and nagged and bitched and wanted him fired. Coach brown is great, big fan and i believe majority of his players would come back years later and appreciate the leadership he tried to instill.
He was definitely wrong to say those Hitler remarks to that German kid. I don't feel sorry for that kid either. Lashing and cursing out in the hallways at random people? He's no victim, just vindictive. JB made an awesome program at ICC and also created a toxic working environment. How you gonna fire a coach with a family living on campus then rehire him? That creates a lot of unnecessary stress. This new head coach seemed to be more level headed. They just won their first game so hoping this would be a different season for ICC.
The first interviewer is a one sided person. He had his mind up and thought he’d just come at coach brown and make him look bad. False coach brown is the real deal and won’t be made to look bad which makes him great. Then at end the interview he tried saying he can be a big asshole yet told coach he should tone it down. Again false because that guy is soft and brown isn’t.
Whitlock might be a "reporter" but has zero understanding of the coaching profession. Brown is correct that even Saban wouldn't want a camera on him for that many hours and allow the edit to only show his rough side.
People are offended by the way he talks because he just might hurt a kid’s feelings in today’s society. He’s a real old school coach that doesn’t play pat pat games.
Did he take a JUCO school from NOTHING to SOMETHING? Did he lead his school to a JUCO championship....yes he did! He did so much for the kids he coached and the school. I don’t understand how his character is a discussion.
Bro they grown men in college why they actin like he gotta treat them like kids you can’t baby guys that wanna make it to the nfl cause those coaches don’t hold back at all
Fire Jason whitlock, look at that smug condescending look, why interview someone when you clearly have predetermined narratives. I'd hire this dude & fire the 2 attackers, I mean "interviewers"
The community was not a fan as an alumni of ICC.... I lived through the losses in the mid 80’s ....but community always supported that program....btw..... the kids haven’t changed at all...... same stories just a different century
I watched the 4th season and from what was shown to me his biggest problem was lack of discipline which starts with him. It appears he knows the x's and o's ,but he lost command of his locker room. You can have all the talent in the world but no discipline= losing.
the more you watch the series, the more you realize this dude didn't coach. great recruiter and some could say solid motivator (depends on the day)..but brutal coach. As he would argue, maybe that's Netflix's fault.
This Jason Whitlock guy is horrible wtf. I didnt realize this was the type of person he is. Wow. This might be one of the worst humans ive ever seen interview someone
Man if you think Coach JB was the problem then you never played for a good coach or you never played at all because anyones who’s played the game right and been apart of a good program knows dude is the real deal and obviously Netflix is gonna make the show look as controversial as possible, If I had a son I would love for him to play for a coach like JB!
its a reality tv show turned to theater, im sure they encouraged him to drink in his interviews and edit the show in certain ways for the drama and views, just my opinion, feel like he does genuinely care for his players and their future, he just swears alot maybe crosses the line at times but is passionate in heat of moments, dont feel like he deserves so much hate
40 D1 recruits a year. Holy shit. I wish I had a coach like JB. Kids today need tough love. Too many knuckleheads online influencing them for the WORSE. Makes me sick that he got blackballed. Think of how many kids end up in jail or dead because they had no chance to play for this man. Smh. Ain’t right dawg.
As a parent who is quite successful I would not send my kid to play for coach JB. The way he talks to the kids wouldn’t fly like that in my house. It’s not professional and not how you should conduct yourself in a professional environment.
ICC wanted a Championship and didn't care what Brown did UNTIL they started losing . Everybody likes the sausage but nobody wants to know what goes in it .
I just watched the last chance u show and everyone who is a true football player would love to play for a coach like JB..and that will follow boys to be men on life ...cant be soft on kids now a day all your doing is crippling them for life...
I think Brown had the right intentions but he was too much of a loose cannon & damn near out of control at times. If he could keep his composure & bearing better, he’d gone a long way.
THIS SHOW WILL NOT BE THE SAME WITHOUT COACH JASON BROWN! SOME OF YALL CUSS AT YOUR OWN KIDS WAY WORSE THEN COACH JASON AT THESE BADASS HARD HEAD ATHLETES!
A coach that uses the language Brown does can get away with it only if he wins big. But when it's mf this and mf that and he is losing, he's outa there on a flatbed truck.
I can't lie Whitlock is lowkey right JB was ok at times but he was would never take blame with his offense half the time he didn't even know his own signal calling like my guy

I want to play football for Jason
Whitlock might be a "reporter" but has zero understanding of the coaching profession. Brown is correct that even Saban wouldn't want a camera on him for that many hours and allow the edit to only show his rough side.
HES WAS REAL I WILL MIS HIM!
Coach brown is a legend idgaf
People are offended by the way he talks because he just might hurt a kid’s feelings in today’s society. He’s a real old school coach that doesn’t play pat pat games.
LEGEND 💪✌️
Did he take a JUCO school from NOTHING to SOMETHING? Did he lead his school to a JUCO championship....yes he did! He did so much for the kids he coached and the school. I don’t understand how his character is a discussion.
Whitlock obviously doesn’t like JB….. He’s baiting JB but JB isn’t biting.
I would LOVE to see MW go coach those kids. MF would eat that small ass free buffet before anybody could.
They just got real footage. Dont critique him, the show was real
Marcellus sounds real petty during this interview
both hosts are leftist soyboy agenda pusher activism thats why
Galileo Shift they are clearly not
The community was not a fan as an alumni of ICC....
Homie in the Grey suit probably went to private school.
did he actually produce 101 d1 kids in three years? i don’t really believe it and i couldn’t find anything online when i looked it up
the more you watch the series, the more you realize this dude didn't coach. great recruiter and some could say solid motivator (depends on the day)..but brutal coach. As he would argue, maybe that's Netflix's fault.
I drink every day. No more than two beers a night on a weekday. Am I an alcoholic?
Technically yes but no, you're not
This Jason Whitlock guy is horrible wtf.
Coach brown is the blackest dude on this show..wordzzz
As a parent who is quite successful I would not send my kid to play for coach JB. The way he talks to the kids wouldn’t fly like that in my house. It’s not professional and not how you should conduct yourself in a professional environment.
Quit disrespecting coach brown man
The show interfered with the outcome of Season 4.
ICC wanted a Championship and didn't care what Brown did UNTIL they started losing . Everybody likes the sausage but nobody wants to know what goes in it .
This dude was hilarious lol.
Guy has 8 felonies right now
“Say his first name”!!!!!
lol condescending holier than thou dough boy = host on the right
I just watched the last chance u show and everyone who is a true football player would love to play for a coach like JB..and that will follow boys to be men on life ...cant be soft on kids now a day all your doing is crippling them for life...
That big dude on the far right has a future in law enforcement. Get off t.v.
A coach that uses the language Brown does can get away with it only if he wins big. But when it's mf this and mf that and he is losing, he's outa there on a flatbed truck.
40/year to D1 while you’re in the national spotlight for a Netflix show doesn’t even sound bad... sounds low tbh but thank god for coach brown.
Kids should’ve been interviewed
Comin like they r jealous because he cameup real and stayed tht way
Man in the grey is hating
I can't lie Whitlock is lowkey right JB was ok at times but he was would never take blame with his offense half the time he didn't even know his own signal calling like my guy
I love JB
Coach was a total tool in this documentary. He lacked maturity and was insecure. That was my impression.
