H.E. Ling Rinpoche and Honorable Prime Minister Modi Celebrate Abhidamma Day in Kushinagar

H.E. Ling Rinpoche participated in the grand celebration of Abhidamma Day (Buddha’s descent from Tushita), on October 20, 2021, the auspicious occasion of Ashwin Poornima, in Kushinagar (UP) India, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, UP Government and International Buddhist Confederation.
The event included the inauguration of the new international airport at Kushinagar. Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and many other dignitaries around the world attended the celebration.
Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi offered prayers to the Sacred Buddha Relic brought from Sri Lanka for veneration on this auspicious occasion.
The Honorable Prime Minister Modi offered robes to H.E. Ling Rinpoche, and Rinpoche offered a khata to the Honorable Prime Minister Modi.
