Yeah facebook have their own rules and worldview. I learned fast to not waste energy on trying to hunt these videos down though, but i do love that youtube has another attitude generally around thses things. Thats why i do not post fullength videos to facebook, only here on youtube. When we released the original video we approved every request to use the video so some of the typical facebook freebooting sites actually had our permission so not all were stolen. But lately i have found alot of videos where they have used my video, reedited everything, put new music on top and their own logo on. That kind of messed up videos is more tiresome than the ones where they just take the video and post it as it was meant to be anyway.

The freaking Minecraft cover is nearly as amazing s the real thing! Seriously, stuff like that takes a fairly high intelligence, a knowledge of AT LEAST basic programming, and A LOT of time and frustration. I know people rag on Minecraft, but that game has some SERIOUSLY smart people playing it! :-)
While programming and logic circuits CAN be part of a Minecraft build, when it comes to composing music, that's not entirely part of the skillset. It's more about laying out the noteblocks in an organized fashion, and making it sound good within the limited range of notes available, which, don't get me wrong, is an achievement just as much as building something involving logic circuitry. But the skill "programming" was not involved. But yes, time, effort, and lots and lots of frustration setting all those damn noteblocks and repeaters to the correct values.
True dat, using redstone is one of the most fun in games I had when I was younger. I wish I could have made music with redstone. You can do some awsome stuff with programming. I learned programming aan arduino and plc's at my school and I loved.

I hope you're still humming Wintergatan's song
@@MarceldeJong - Yup......and I'm still watching the video. Currently in lockdown as I'm high risk due to health issues, got my husband and daughter arouns which is nice, but yeah the music is very smile inducing! :)
@@Tracy137 Martin believes in life and comes alive in the music. I find it lifting me up too. I will try it if I feel the lowness striking. Thanks for sharing. Now we all need to find ways to be together alone.
@@wordzmyth - His beliefs really come to life in his music you're right - it's such a sweet sound and makes my heart happy. I wish you well at this scary time; I'll be thinking of you and sending good thoughts your way. Stay safe. :)
This made me cry. It's amazing how this amazing piece of art has joined so many peeps from so many different background. Thanks Martin and keep onward.
Powerful stuff!
One of those odd pieces of music that sounds like something entirely different in each style and with each instrument.
but the original is just a machine that let's marbles drop on instruments
I feel like this should be the national anthem but for the whole world.

Ahhh I can't like this comment yet. See you at 419 likes

international anthem
How about the lyrics?
@@mohamadakmal9593 the madman who would put lyrics to this would never be able to release them for they would make this music too perfect for our mortal ears to handle or even comprehend.
@5:00 you have a friggin High School band playing music that YOU created! How awesome is THAT!
Forget the highschool band, it's being played in CLUBS!
Bill Anderson Yeah that got me in the feels too.
Just saying, that's an orchestra, not a band
*orchestra
Bill Anderson that’s an Orchestra
You know that someone is a brilliant songwriter or composer when their works translate this well across genres.
there's now a minecraft that uses sand like the marbles
It's gravel but still dope
Yeah, I've seen that too. My 11 year old son explained me how it's made. Awesome job!
Gravel my guy
yeah, he already commented on that video

Why doesn't this guy have millions of subscribers?
Lets make it happen 2017 :) haha!
Wintergatan The original video is going to be my share of the day on Facebook this week
Agreed. Just added one more.
Stolen Facebook vids don't give him any credit at all, he probably has over 50 million views on facebook
Dang, that editing!
Yeah! Amazing...
yeah! only editors can relate hahaha
Martin: plays a song.
People around the world: make their own versions
Martin: puts them all together to make something amazing and incredible.
Martin, you are a true artist.
Praises them rather than suing them. Companies like Sony should take note.
hands down the most unique video outro i have ever seen.

Wow, nice comment Minister!
elizzievb the man is becoming a living legand.
Minister J Lupine nice words
I can't say it any better than that! - totally agree!
The fact that he's not only reacting to covers but he made a compilation of all the covers to create an even more amazing song just shows you how much passion and love he got for music. How humble he is to hear other recreate his song too is like the Cherry on top. Respect
9:43 seeing these two guys smile and laugh just makes my heart melt, so pure

Did he basically make a mashup of the covers he found?
cover of a cover?

@@kirbyinahat I would guess his bandmember friends spliced it together in one video for him to react to.

The good, creative side of RUclips :)
Michael yang The MARBLElous side of RUclips.
get out....! lol good pun
Yes, kinda funny that it's a surprise when there is actually something with nothing but good intentions making people smile, laugh and think. I know there's not just bad stuff on YT but some of I wonder how it even gets on here. Ya, I know $$
not side, corner

The fact that he enjoys it so much and can really see him enjoying himself shows what a music artist and lover he is.
The worst thing I have seen jk lol it’s the best
11 minutes video with a smile on my face. So many creative people supporting Wintergatan's project in so many different
ways of sound creation. Wintergatan's feedback, his smile, his body movements in accordance with the chosen contributions
was very emphatic. Thank you to all who were involved.
This is what creativity looks like. What innovation looks like. This is what the human race is capable of. People from all different backgrounds, all different interests and talents seeing something great and adding their own creativity to it. Truly amazing.
they played that note block nicely.

Seeing Martin being happy about all these nice covers is probably the cutest thing ever :D
Unkraut
I agree! He is adorable! :3
Unkraut and that fail beat drop he made was fun
You're a class act and an amazing artist. Kudos to you for highlighting those who have lovingly recreated your music in their own styles.
So true!
The progression of his reaction through this is… well, fantastically profound. Simple intro, Minecraft yay, some nice rocking out to serious rocking out, Ubaldo B there is wow, and _the dawning realization that you've had a substantially memorable impact on people's lives._ From automation makers to grandmothers, musicians to schoolchildren to hackers. About 1:45 in it starts, but 4:34 and segments round there: That Face When the gravity hits. Wow, indeed. Thank you. Thank you so very much for being such an inspiration for so many.
110% cried during the kids playing. He looks so happy !!
how cute is this man, incredible, very humble, full of talent.. Never change !

Me: Your marble machine is one of the coolest things I've ever seen in my whole life
Outstanding example on how music can connect people!
There is something here, i do get a very special feeling watching all these people that i dont know personally but still feel very close to through this simple naive melody!
not so naive
Chris R. So true
This is the stuff that reminds me why humanity isn't all bad
enginering and music has his own world
True dat
U deserve all of this. That piece of music was so great plus the fact that it was played with marbles and a machine that u made makes it even better. Thank u.
Difference between an artist and a businessman: "thank you so much for copying my work!"
That video was amazing.
So much talent, sharing, love and humility!
I love the fact that so many different musical styles were featured! Martin doesn't care if you like hardstyle or jazz or pop, it's all just music and music we love!
It’s amazing how your one machine brought people from all over of every different style and genre, nationality, and place together in celebration of music and the thought that any sound can be music and it can be amazing.
I like how he still does the same head motions as in the original marble machine video!!! 😆😆😆
As someone who plays several instruments, and genres, its a live reaction the the music itself.
I love how he can't just sit by and watch, he remixes all the videos hahahahahhaha that damn creator soul
I was absolutely amazed by what I considered to be mostly engineering brilliance regarding the original marble machine and associated song, mostly I was humbled by the talent that I saw in its design and function. I just saw this remix of tribute covers and it brought tear to my eyes. Well done by all, and so any tributes to the talent I saw in the original video, taken by other musicians and covered as a tribute to the genius that I saw. The editing of this was amazing, and simply well done.... BRAAAVO, genius Maestro, and brilliant end of the first year anniversary, well done Martin Molin!
made me well up too. so beautiful
Humbled is the perfect word.
The fact he's inspired so many other artists to make covers of his work, it's so awesome. His happiness is contagious.
The trumpet version... Oh god i loved it so much
Bloody Menstruation And you love Bécquer too as I can see.
This video is goosebumps and a fat smile guaranteed. Shout out to all you out there listening!
2:49 his reaction to the people who make a wonderful tribute to his song that he put a lot of effort is, beautiful..
Absolutely Incredible! I have never held a smile on my face for so long in my 65 years of life on this planet! THANK YOU!
Nice to know you're not opposed to people covering your tune! These are really cool videos! I'll go check them out now lol.
cant believe that! it was 4 seconds that is worth all my creation. thank you, Wintergatan.

Seeing how one random person, working on one project, can have such an impact on the world really is touching...
Not just touching. Inspiring.
Because today world has so much different things that divide people. But anything that can bring people together is amazing.
Words can't express my thoughts. :D
When I first saw the marble machine video I was blown away. I have since followed Wintergaten and adore them. This video made me tear up in such a nice way. I couldn't stop smiling. His appreciation is amazing and like another comment said, he is not talking over anything, he is giving each and every musician their moment. Thankyou
Id pee my pants if this was the background music for any major video game theres something so melodic about it
Some mystery game or something lol
Holy crap im at the middle part of the video and it reminded me a lot of Journey from Destiny 2
That "YEAAAY!" at 3:03 changes my mood from "I can't do shit" to "I want to conquer the world!!!!" every time!

This video is like a big upward spiral of inspiration.
Its just like writing an open source program.
The greatest honor for an artist is to see people getting inspired by their work, seeing people come together having fun and working together on projects becouse of the inspiration they have gotten from your creation. Nothing will beat that feeling.
This is the side of RUclips I wish still existed
Inspiration _ maybe not a whole side of RUclips, but this channel is still going strong and it's as awesome as ever.
Inspiration _ it still exists people are still making covers from all ober the world, some maybe stoped but others started new channels, the sad thing is because of all that clickbait shit and youtube politics you find something like that never in the trends, but if you search a bit you still find the creative side of youtube:)
It still do... for a couple of months...
Inspiration _

Wait, so that means this song technically doesn't exist in your mind?

Yes, and kindness and generosity such as Martin exudes! I love this channel and all the great people who come here!

This got me in tears of happiness. You created something so beautiful shared it with the world and others did their ways to show your inspiration and you acknowledged every last one of them. This is what we call true inspiration and love.
Look what you have done Wintergatan. You have brought so much inspiration to alot of people. You are an amazing and talented person. You deserve this moment. Please make another music video. This brings tears of joy.
Yea suck on that minecraft haters

You'll say that until you see ohtekkers
I love the wintergatan because it isn’t limited to a language as it speaks in music and can be understood and loved around the world

Unfortunately, deaf people cannot listen to this wonder with us.
No, but blind people can feel the music.
What a tasteful musical romp. The Ibanez guy, the sax, so many amazing spins. Oh! That Bourbon Street Trumpet. I love the original, but this was a treat.
I wish more artists did something like this.
You seem really happy, and impressed with these, unlike most RUclipsrs, you're actually respection your fans work, which I find pretty awesome.
