    How did we get here?
in 2019 we moved into an RV full time and started traveling around North America...once traveling started to become less of an option, we got to work converting the RV into fully functioning off grid tiny home that has everything we need, even a little mini wood stove! Realizing that none of us know how long this new normal will stick around, we made the decision that building a home here was the best decision we could make. We've spent the last three years doing EVERYTHING involved with coordinating and planning the build ourselves as well as setting up this off grid property to be able to provide us with the the food we'll need in the future. That led us to needing a place to live while we realized our dream of building a shipping container home. After lots of searching we finally discovered Geodesic Dome's and it was the perfect fit for us while we took our time with the container home...it's been a busy few years!

Just as we were getting up and running with the build again!! 😂It always seems that whenever we are right on the cusp of a big project, something happens to one of us lol. Also - HUGE shoutout to Ty for stepping up and helping out is so many ways over the last week (and still is). He's currently making us dinner right now...lasagna with garlic bread! Smells so good in here right now, wish I could give you a piece. Here's hoping I can get back on my feet and get this build going again next Sunday, hope you have a lovely week xo

Todd!!!! That's Tyler's job!! 😆Honestly I've been expecting this. The way you run around at full steam - both of you - I'm very surprised that Todd hasn't gotten hurt before this. I'm just grateful that nothing was broken. As a former dancer, I have bunches of stress fractures in my feet and I'd never wish that on anyone. I'm very impressed with the way the house is coming together. I wasn't getting a good frame of reference for how that upstairs livingroom was going to be, and when I saw the length of it I immediately thought "how the hell are you gonna roof that!?" Of course engineered trusses! It's been 40 years, but my Dad had a couple of projects when we used them. We built our own, and all I remember was how much wood we wasted and how inventive Dad's cursing got. LOL!
Can't wait to see the next steps. I'm so proud of you two for all you've accomplished, and grateful to you for taking me (and all of us) on this journey with you.
    Love you bunches!

I had ceilings that were 14 feet high and was able to put in a one pointed swing( trapeze), it was endless hours of music and dance on a swing, for the children in my care as well as some evening thrills for adults 😜. I had a peaked roof, not slanted, but I encourage you to keep an open mind to this, the children were so fit and many grew and are long distance runners, bikers, skiers…a few are trapeze artists! We created many swinging devices and today there is a plethora of options online…
On another note, I love Tyler’s smile of pleasure, it’s so endearing. And Todd’s eyes when he’s selling mental wellness makes me want to buy in, you two are truly a gift to us! Thanks!

I made this mistake, and had to pick them all out, not fun. In the fall when you take out plants to put in the compost, rip the bag open and put the outer net in the garbage. Maybe next time fill your trays with dirt or something biodegradable.

I’m watching the vlogs during the weekend and it’s really cold out and I keep falling asleep, so that’s why they might feel out of sequence.

You two never fail to bring a smile to my face. Sorry to see you injured, Todd, but it just highlights what a beautiful relationship you two have with Tyler looking after you so lovingly. You two are so precious. Can’t wait to watch the progress of your new home and continuing with your garden 🥰🥰

Good that nothing broke. Shit happens. It reminds you you're not Superman but instead a mere mortal, and you need to take it easy sometimes. No point in building an upstairs if you can't get up there. I hope you have a speedy recovery.

At .50 seconds I cringed at using boards under staging that high as they always tend to walk a bit as you use them. They make feet for those or in a pinch drill a hole in the board for the bottom pole to fit into and nail it. You guys are just an amazing couple.

The trusses look great - awesome progress! And heck yes I am totally stealing your idea of keeping my seed packets in an album!! 🤓Also, please have a look at 'companion planting' your veggies and flowers... so much fun to nerd out on this. Your garden will thrive even more I promise... you will bring in beneficial bugs and keep away the bugs you don't want... and certain plants just do better next to each other. 🌱🫶 Feel better soon Todd!

Love watching your channel. Intrigued that you created an entirely new plan for the staircase and it's well on the way to being done.
    Telemedicine can be very helpful.
Glad Todd's injury was minor. Are you going to buy more safety equipment: safety harnesses, boot covers, etc.?
