A few weekends ago, a mission that has profoundly impacted our hearts unfolded. With the blessing of his devoted family, we share the poignant story of Maximus-a tale of hope, loss, and the newfound service we offer in the Mid Ohio Valley (MOV).
Our saga began shortly after the jubilant rescue of a Sheepadoodle, positioning our team, MOV Drone Workz, on the brink of another urgent quest. Maximus, a cherished 14-year-old Lab mix known for his gentle nature, partially blind and battling diabetes, had mysteriously disappeared from his Vincent, Ohio, home.
Despite the family's relentless search-echoing calls, widespread flyers, and digital pleas-Max remained lost. It was by sheer fate that we were merely 15 minutes away, wrapping up another search, when we received the desperate call. Fueled by recent success and an unwavering resolve, we launched our thermal drone, embarking on a mission filled with hope.
In a mere 15 minutes, our thermal drone unveiled the unseen: Maximus, hidden 75 yards from his home, trapped in a dense, concealed ravine. Under the drone's vigilant gaze, Jeremy Patterson-my courageous copilot and a dedicated volunteer firefighter-and Maximus's family braved the daunting landscape. They navigated through slippery banks and dense underbrush to reach the weary soul.
Their rescue was laden with challenges, yet marked by an indomitable spirit. Jeremy's arms offered Maximus a safe passage from the shadows of the ravine to the comforting embrace of his family, ensuring his final moments were filled with love and familiarity.
While the reunion we hoped for transformed into a tender goodbye, the journey of Maximus imparts a vital lesson on preparedness and the essence of time. This mission illuminated the critical role of thermal drone technology, offering a glimmer of hope and a new perspective on pet search and rescue.
Our hearts, heavy with the memory of Maximus, are also filled with determination. We share his story not only to honor his spirit but to illuminate the path of a service dedicated to reuniting lost pets with their families in MOV. Time is precious, and awareness is key. Our thermal drones and dedicated team stand ready, around the clock, to ensure no time is wasted when lives are at stake.

Yea, that was a tough one. He was missing for about 36 hours. Found him about 50 yards from the house. No one could see him down the steep ravine from the road.
