How does manufacturing get the components to manufacture the product? Do you have a process to track the inventory?

in this horrible time of limited supply and long raw material lead times....weeks....months.....customers are now wanting to hoard their own material supply before manufacturing....ponying up hundreds of thousands or millions in extra component inventory...how would odoo handle that? thanks

You can receive inventory and assign an owner to it. I don't know how much of your question that solves but it sounds like it's a piece of it.
