  • Storing food by displacing oxygen with a nitrogen gas cylinder. Cheaper to use for bulk storage. Great for a group too.

When you place the lid on the bucket do not place it flat and lower it on top, this displaces the nitrogen with oxygen. Instead slide the lid sideways resting on the rim while the gas is still under pressure to ensure no re oxygenation of the the stored material.

I suggest you might also be able to use a regular rubber balloon, inflated with normal air, and when it floats, the bucket is full of nitrogen... in theory. Never tried it, but it should work, on an academic level. Also... as long as you're already lighting a flame in these containers... I have to wonder if you could simply light a candle and close the bucket...let the candle burn up all the oxygen inside...and just leave it closed. Idk. That might be problematic in some ways, but in theory, it could work, if executed properly (not letting it burn the lid, etc.).

A better method may be to put the lid on the container and using a valve maybe measure with guages/tester when the atmosphere inside the area becomes 90-98% nitrogen during/after treatment? Adds another level of security? This way we are not guessing?

Screw on tire valves (brass) use 2 of them , one to fill the other to release air being forced out. You could use a tire gauge and check. Maybe 5psi pos pressure . Just a thought

Co2 is a lot better. Nitrogen is lighter than oxygen, but C02 is heavier than oxygen. C02 will stay in the bucket better than nitrogen if left undisturbed.

Thank you for this helpful video. can you guide me in where will be a good place to buy the nitrogen? I am a first time user and don't know much about it despite you being very helpful and descriptive in you video. Thanks

I found this fascinating, as I have just started researching this. I wish you could reply to questions here. anyway, why do you not insert the wand so that the tip is in the bottom center of the barrel ??

in the books i have read they suggest covering the container almost all the way moving the wand up and down through out the process to move pockets of air out, and when you are ready to seal it, slowly pull out the wand and close it. I dont see any reason not to add a few oxygen absorbers too.

It's because Nitrogen is lighter than air and is escaping and drawing air into the bucket at the same time . People use it because it's cheaper than better heaver than air alternatives .

Minus the candle that is lol I think I'd rather hold a flame to the side or the top of the container

    Great Work Sir.
Could you please kindly tell if this method of preservation is equally effective for preserving Wheat Flour (white powder after crushing Wheat Grains for making chappattis ) ???
    Thanks

From all the research I have done, ground wheat (flour) will not last long term storage. I have not come across your specific question using nitrogen + flour. My guess is that Wheat berries hull helps protect the longevity of storage.

Nitrogen can be very dangerous in an enclosed area. You need to be aware that the Nitrogen can desplcae the Oxygen in the room.

The gospels tell us that only God knows when the end will come. But Jesus describes the conditions the world will be in near the time of the end. Like you know what season you are in by the visible signs such as leaves falling in autumn and new growth in spring. Two thousand years ago Jesus has passed on this information through the bible. Man will not know until it is too late when the end has come so he must prepare now by making his life acceptable to god so that he can be protected from Armageddon.

Mongrel; In a pig's eye. The overseers already know the season of the rapture is March/April/May. Considering that a heathen Anti Christ Spirit now dwells in the White House it would be wise to get ready to go.
