Hi. I see your video and i have a question. You use this radio in your car just in vhf/uhf or you use in HF too ? When you show the radio cube below the seat, i see two conector of antenna pluged. What type of antenna are you using ?
Hi Craig, is that the one from Bulgaria. I had one with my other 7100 that I sold They were really good, Should be on HF tomorrow on the 7100 from Leeton Cheers
Hello Craig, fancy finding you here : ) I am looking for a GPS receiver for my IC-7100 too. Unfortunately the listing has ended. I will keep looking. If you find one first please let me know. I will use the rear parcel shelf as the transceiver is in the boot. This will confuse the Americans : ) VK3ZT
Hey Paul I know you commented a year ago, but if you are still looking here's what I found today - www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B01C3EY4L6/ref=dp_olp_new_mbc?ie=UTF8&condition=new
if it's not too late. Grab yourself a 7300 instead of another 7100. I have both and for home work. the 7300 is a much nicer radio to work with....an absolute dream. No vhf/uhf though.
Yes... although I did not expect it to work in that position.. It does take a few mins to get a lock.. As for the Radio.. I must say it's the best I've owned.. with HF starting to die because of the cycle, Dstar is really getting active now. Cheers.
Great video Craig. I'm looking at the 7100 for the Ranger and thinking of mounting behind the rear seat. The GPS info was brilliant.. 73 VK3GY

Yes, the radio does HF as well.. I run a HF Whip, it's not longer made but it's a multi-band Tapped Whip.

Hey Paul, I updated the links
If anyone gets stuck finding one, you can use your cell phone, a USB cable and the app from Icom to share your location from phone to the 7100.
