He wants us to be so close to him that nothing can snatch us from Him, not our minds , not our actions, no other person on earth can lessen the bond we build with Christ.

Wow " id rather be persecuted than asleep"yes Lord. That is powerful. It's so true how much we take for granted. We think people were persecuted only in Jesus time on earth and Paul's time. So many countries are persecuted for having Bibles. A lot of countries kill christians who profess Jesus as Lord. But they can't kill the fire inside. The Holy Spirit is working in his people. We don't have to fight for our beliefs like that. We take for granted the opportunity we have to celebrate Jesus like we do. We so easily fall asleep. We're too comfortable. Would we profess Jesus like that if it costs us our lives? Or our families lives? What if our ability to get food was at stake, would we be as passionate about following Jesus. Let us pray for our brothers and sisters across the earth. Let us join them in faith for Jesus Christ!
Protect your first love. Say no. You know how many years and years of recovery you could avoid by not giving in to temptation, which is only temporary.
What is oil? It is the evidence that you have been seeking Christ in your everyday life. In your coming and your going in your talk and in your walk. It's proof that you have been intimate with Jesus not only to know Him but to follow Him wholeheartedly. When people see you do they see Jesus?
