Sims 2 pets for the gba was my first ever sims game. It was a wonderful adventure of 6 year old me having my sims eat dog food and constantly passing out trying to recycle cans. 13 years later and I still am obsessed with the sims.
Honestly in hindsight this game was kinda good the ending is rubbish but I guess it was more about the journey, where we eat dog food!!🤪 I am glad I wasn’t the only one making my sim eat the dog food tho 😂 omg what an experience for 6 year old you!! 🫶

As a kid i had sims 2 pets for DS and i just could not figure it out. I basically only played it to customize my pet and sim, because id only get 10 minutes into the actual game before failing
Literally same, I thought it would be like the PC or PlayStation 2 version and was confused

I had apartment pets as a kid and I remember playing it quite a bit, and I remember always struggling with that brushing mini game too

I think the Pets stuff was a big step down from previous handheld Sims games. They're all bland, buggy and they feel rushed, imo. Especially the Sims apartment pets... a quick cash grab with no identity.

I still have my copy of Sims 2 Pets for DS. It was…interesting. I remember it took me forever to figure out how to heal a fracture 😂 I also clearly remember the music.
Lol I have that game, play it from time to time, and I still don't know how to heal a fracture. If I get a dog or cat who's limping, I just send them off to another vet immediately. I treat everything except the fractures

not a sims 2 game, but the sims 3 for the wii was my absolute first sims game. i think i remember begging my mom to buy it for me at target (?) because i liked the cover art. that game led me into watching youtube videos of the sims 3 and started my 9 year obsession with this game series

I played sims 2 Pets for GBA as a kid!!! it was soooo terrible. It used real time and took forever to fill bars and everything moved so slow. I played it for a long time anyways as a kid even though it was bad lol

Unironically the Sims 2 pets DS main theme songs is one of my favorite video game songs of all times. It has been stuck in my head for over a decade. Appearing to me like a premonition at least once a month.

Oh my god okay sims 2 pets on ds actually was the scariest game for me as a kid, I was 8 when I got it and I didn't really understand how it worked so I just kept being in this loop of neglecting the pets because the dog whining on the exam table makes it seem like youre hurting them, making dogs very sick, customers being mad at me for making their pet on the verge of death, and my sim collapsing!! It didn't help that the ominous music, scary looking sims, non-human dialogue, cramped house, pets whining like theyre in pain, and sci-fi tube for the pets to stay in for DAYS!! all made everything seem so horrifying. Something just did not feel right about that game!! Not goofy and self-aware in any way like sims 2 psp, this was like they accidentally created every kids nightmare

I had the last one as a kid and I could never make it past a few days without just absolute meltdowns
I had Sims 2 pets on PS2. Was a lazy, rushed, crappier version of the sims 2 on PS2 but with pets and no story mode. Doesn't look like they put much effort into the handheld counterparts. Wonder why ports of Pets 2 were so consistently lazy?

The last of the three allowed you to move out of the apartment i think, and crime rates lowered in better houses if i remember correctly
okay the sims 2 pets on GBA was so hard bc my buttons were hella caved in. and the sims 2 on DS I had so much trouble so I ended up justing using the action replay

Not my favorite weird Sims handheld spin-off series but I still enjoyed them all a lot. Honestly more than I ever enjoyed the actual Sims games I guess I'm just not into playing dolls as much.
Gosh, Corneil on the dog encyclopedia made me remember there is a second season produced 10 years after the first, in HD, in flash!
I know ?!? I watched a video about it the other day !!! It actually looks really good !! I was surprised to learn that the show wasn’t even British and it’s only called “watch my chops” in Britain ??!?? Crazy stuff !!!

@@prudencesofty "obscure" thanks, that's my childhood XD On a more serious note I am so glad they were airing, and reairing, and reairing constantly on public tv, everybody has seen them in France.. Even to this day I can turn on a specific channel (it's a concept : public channel accessible to everyone with a tv, shared between private and public network, that has access to both catalogs of shows, all aimed at youth both toddlers to early adults) and still watch Oggy!
Ah sorry lol like they are obscure in Britain cos they were on the “free channels” like the majority of people growing up had Disney channel or we had British shows on BBC? so ppl didn’t know these shows particularly oggy ig why I said obscure sorry 🥺 it’s really cool that they’re not obscure in France tho!!!!

I had The Sims Pets 2 DS but I didn't manage to process further than day one for some reason, i attempted to play the game 10 times or so and it never clicked for me, sorry little animals for leaving you sick 😢
