This song was actually a companion to another MV called "This Is Love". Member Shindong directed both this MV and "This Is Love" to show both sides of love. Super Junior is the legend..they even had their first album released in cassette tape. They became popular all over Asia even before RUclips, Twitter, Instagram are known to people. Now, music industry goes digital. They are not there for 15 years for no reason. Proud to be ELF.
Super Junior was originally created to be a "project group" which meant that SM Entertainment originally put the group together with members who had all different talents within the entertainment industry, as well as singing and dancing. When the group was created they were considered the super rookies of the company so they were given the name Super Junior '05. The original purpose of the group was for the members to get more experience in all aspects of the entertainment industry while they also worked as singers and dancers. For example, Shindong and Eunhyuk were training to be comedians and hosts, Siwon was an actor, etc. (That is why the members of Super Junior are involved in all aspects of the entertainment industry today.) The original plan was that after about 3 to 6 months, when their company decided the members had gained enough experience, the individual members would graduate from the group and form other groups or move on to other careers within the entertainment industry, etc. and new members would be added to the group. However, Super Junior gained a very large and vocal Korean fandom even before they debuted, and when the fans heard about SM's plan to have the members of Super Junior leave the group, the fans got together and demanded that SM allow Super Junior to stay together. With large scale protests and purchasing enough shares of SM stocks, fans became voting members of SM Entertainment's board of directors and were able to force SM to promise that Super Junior would become a permanent group. E.L.F. (Ever Lasting Friends -- SJ's fandom) are some of the most loyal and vocal of all Kpop fans. Plus, I think one reason why fans were so upset about Super Junior '05's concept was the fact that the members of Super Junior were actually part of a larger group of trainees who the fans had watched go through an elimination process. The members who "made it" where the 5 members who originally became the members of TVXQ, and the members who formed Super Junior '05 were the "castoffs." But fans had already formed a bond with ALL the trainees, so they were upset that the other members who "didn't make it" (Super Junior members) might eventually disappear from the spotlight, etc. (That's why TVXQ and Super Junior are so close, because they literally grew up together.) So,, if you think about it, NCT is the upgraded version of Super Junior 'O5. Because, essentially, isn't that sort of how NCT works now? Fans first formed a bond with the NCT members when they were part of SMRookies, just like how fans followed the members of Super Junior when they were trainees. NCT also is a group who is constantly changing and rearranging its members, and every time a male trainee graduates from SM's training program they will be added to NCT. And even more similar, is NCT-Dream. NCT-Dream works almost exactly how Super Junior '05 was intended to -- the Dream members become members of that group to help them grow and mature and to gain experience within the industry, and when they graduate they become members of new groups, and they are no longer considered members of NCT-Dream. The only difference between Super Junior '05 and NCT is that the NCT members don't leave the group completely. But NCT is always changing and evolving in the same way as Super Junior had been planned to do. I think SM has always wanted to do something with that "project group" concept, they just learned from their first attempt and changed how they did things -- with NCT they warned fans from day one that this was how the group was going to work, so we were more on board with the concept this time.
Actually the longest running group with the same members since debut without any hiatus (except for obligatory military service) is their SM sunbae Shinhwa. Even in the Ginnes Book. Just had their 22nd anniversary in March. They are the craziest group and the first trouble makers in Kpop. Funfact: SuJu used to be called little Shinhwa and were scolded as ''Are you Shinhwa?'' when they go crazy or made trouble. SuJu main vocalists are legends, lead vocalists are musical actors and sub-vocalists &rappers are good enough to debut as main vocalists in other groups. OT15 is 15 amazing vocalists. (Maybe not Kibum.I haven't actually seen him sing a long verse)

This is the reason I am fan of Super Junior, this song, as you said this guys can surprise you with their voices, of course Kyuhyun, is one of the main vocals on the group but everyone can sing. When Super Junior first debuted in 2005 they had 12 members, but 6 months later Kyuhyun was added to the group to officially make them a 13 member group. Then in 2008, SM created the very first Mandarin Chinese sub-unit designed to bring Kpop to the Chinese market and they added 2 new members to Super Junior (Zhoumi and Henry) and Super Junior officially became a 15 member group. However, Zhoumi and Henry were only allowed to be members of Super Junior-M. So, Super Junior is a 13 member group + 2 (Super Junior-M) members. So, technically, Super Junior was "originally" a 15 member group. However, in the same way that the Korean ELF supported Super Junior and forced SM to make them a permanent group, in 2008 when SM announced the addition of Henry and Zhoumi and the creation of Super Junior-M, Korean fans protested yet again. But this time they were against adding any new members to Super Junior. So the Korean fans forced SM, this time, to agree to only make Henry and Zhoumi members of Super Junior's Mandarin sub-unit (they needed more Chinese members to make the Chinese sub-unit work), and they were not allowed to be included in anything to do with the main group of Super Junior. Then in 2010, Hangeng (The industry's very first non-Korean member of a Kpop group -- he was Chinese) and Kibum left the group and Super Junior became an 11 member group + 2 (Super Junior-M) members. In 2018 Henry left SM Entertainment, but he never officially left Super Junior. Now, before someone says "Henry is not a part of Super Junior any more," I want to point out that it has never officially been said that Henry has left Super Junior. Yes, he left SM when his contract was up after 10 years, and started his own independent company, but that doesn't necessarily mean he left the group. So many true fans are holding out hope that this means he still may collaborate with SJ on projects in the future. (He is still living and working in Korea and he is still in contact with all the SJ members, etc.) After all, the 3 members of Girls Generation who left SM have said they would like to do something similar in the future. All three members of Girls Generation have said just because they left SM, doesn't mean they left the group.That's why when Girls Generation made their most recent comeback they did it as a sub-unit Oh!GG, because they weren't the full group. And even Taecyeon from 2PM recently left JYP Entertainment but his new company has said they plan to partner with JYP in the future to allow Taecyeon to continue activities with 2PM. (Taecyeon was included in 2PM's recent comeback and activities.) And L from Infinite left Woollmin Entertainment, but he says he has not left the group. So, it looks more promising all the time that if Henry ever wanted to do something with SJ again, he could. After all, Henry is one of Lee SooMan's (SM's) favorite people. (Even though SM may have never allowed Henry to reach his full potential under them, which is part of the reason why he left the company. But I don't think there was any bad blood between them when he left, and he has always been one of SM's most prized artists for the amount of talent he has.) Then last year, in 2019 KangIn officially left Super Junior, and now they have 10 members + 2 (Super Junior-M) members. However, currently they have 9 active members. Sungmin decided to take a hiatus from the group in 2017 because of Korean fans' protest over him getting married. And now after almost 4 years, even though he had his solo debut last year, he has still not done any activities with Super Junior. Zhoumi renewed his contract with SM in 2018, so he is still an "active" member of Super Junior, however, because he is native Chinese, and with the political issues between China and Korea right now, Zhoumi has not done anything with the group for almost 4 years. If it wasn't for all the political issues he would still be in Korea working with Super Junior right now. So, as you can see, depending on the time period you will see a wide fluctuation in the number of members who are included in each of their songs, MVs and activities. Because they have such a large group with such a wide range of ages (Super Junior members currently range in age from 36-30.) the number of members have fluctuated over the years as the members have all taken their turns serving in the military, because of injury, and controversies that have caused some members to take time off, etc.

The guy who danced with the girl dancer is the one who sang in falsetto and he's the main rapper Eunhyuk. All the members excel im different field. They can Act, do Musical, host/emcee, Stage Director, MV director. Eunhyuk Directed the chinese group concert last year, while he and Shindong directed their Super Show concert. Fans of great vocals consider Super Junior the kings of group vocals. It's tough to get 4 or 5 to sing together well, but to get 9 or more to do it, and so flawlessly? That's real talent. Best of all, each member's vocals are different enough to give them a lovely, unique sound when they're put together. As for the quality of the vocals... Of course they can all sing. They're SM music artists, and if there's one thing SM does better than anyone, it's finding and developing fantastic vocalists. BoA, TVXQ, Super Junior, SNSD/Girls Generation, SHINee, f(x), EXO, Red Velvet and NCT--they can all sing. Even their rappers can at least carry a tune. There are no exceptions to this fact. In the case of Super Junior, they have three of the best vocalists in all of K-Pop: Kyuhyun (guy at the beginning), Ryeowook (the bangs guy with the perfect lyric tenor who comes up to the woman) and Yesung (not shown here). Luckily for all vocals lovers, they have formed a Super Junior subgroup trio called KRY. Give them a listen sometime. They're incredible, separately and together.
Darn, if only you had known ahead of time, you really should have watched "This is Love" and "Evanesce" together. They are partner songs and the story in both MVs go together. The songs are like the opposite sides of the love story. Please watch "This is Love" next and see what we mean. "This is Love" was released first so it is the first part of the story and then "Evanesce" was released next to complete the story. So the story in "Evanesce" will make more sense once you watch "This is Love." You might want to rewatch "Evanesce" again after you watch "This is Love," so you can understand the connection between the two."This is Love" is a love song where "Evanesce" is a heartbreak song. As you can see in "Evanesce" they are in anguish, sullen, upset and crying. If you pay attention, Donghae (the guy at the end) is not the only one who is upset and crying in the MV, -- he is just the only one to shed a tear -- they all are upset. Evanesce means "to fade away or to leave your sight or memory." So the song is about how they are slowly forgetting about the love that they lost and they are sad. That is why Eunhyuk (SuJu's main dancer and main rapper) is dancing with that girl, and it is almost as if she is a spirit or ghost of a past memory. The first person you saw and heard sing was Kuyhun, and, yes, he is one of the 3 main vocalists of Super Junior. Kyuhun is the youngest member of the original 3 member group and he is a member of Super Junior-K.R.Y. (Pronounced like cry). This unit is made up of Kyuhyun, Ryeowook and Yesung, SJ's main vocalists -- Hence the name K.R.Y. And they are 3 of the best vocalists in the industry. (Yesung was the only member not in this MV because he was serving in the military at this time.) Super Junior-K.R.Y. is SuJu's first sub-unit and the Kpop industry's very first sub-unit to ever exist. Super Junior were the ones that created the concept of sub-units. And of course all 15 members of Super Junior are amazing vocalists (There are 10 members in this MV). Remember they are an SM Entertainment group. SM is known for having the best vocalists and dancers in the industry. That's just a fact about the type of people SM selects to be a part of its company. That is what makes Super Junior so special. Not only can all the members sing, but even their rappers can fill in as a main vocalist when needed. Super Junior's rappers are better singers than a lot of groups' main vocalists, so that goes to show you how talented Super Junior is. :D As you get more into SM groups, you will soon realize that all of SM's rappers were actually chosen to become trainees because of their singing and/or dance skills. None of their rappers were chosen for their rapping and they all learned to rap, or at least became good at it, after joining the company. So not only are the rappers great at rapping, but they are also amazing singers. They are so far from babies here -- it's hilarious that you call them that. LOL Super Junior debuted in 2005 and "Evanesce" came out in 2014, so the oldest members were 31 here and the youngest was 26. (I gravitate to Super Junior because all the members are around my age and I have been following them almost since debut. So we pretty much grew up together. At this point, they feel like family.) A good example of just how impressive of singers all the members of Super Junior are, would be their performance of "Islands" at their Super Show 6 in Seoul from 2014. And to see what makes Super Junior-K.R.Y. such an amazing sub-unit you need to hear a live performance of "Sorry Sorry Answer" at any of their concerts.

For example, Shindong and Eunhyuk were training to be comedians and hosts, Siwon was an actor, etc. (That is why the members of Super Junior are involved in all aspects of the entertainment industry today.) The original plan was that after about 3 to 6 months, when their company decided the members had gained enough experience, the individual members would graduate from the group and form other groups or move on to other careers within the entertainment industry, etc. and new members would be added to the group.
However, Super Junior gained a very large and vocal Korean fandom even before they debuted, and when the fans heard about SM's plan to have the members of Super Junior leave the group, the fans got together and demanded that SM allow Super Junior to stay together. With large scale protests and purchasing enough shares of SM stocks, fans became voting members of SM Entertainment's board of directors and were able to force SM to promise that Super Junior would become a permanent group. E.L.F. (Ever Lasting Friends -- SJ's fandom) are some of the most loyal and vocal of all Kpop fans.
Plus, I think one reason why fans were so upset about Super Junior '05's concept was the fact that the members of Super Junior were actually part of a larger group of trainees who the fans had watched go through an elimination process. The members who "made it" where the 5 members who originally became the members of TVXQ, and the members who formed Super Junior '05 were the "castoffs." But fans had already formed a bond with ALL the trainees, so they were upset that the other members who "didn't make it" (Super Junior members) might eventually disappear from the spotlight, etc.
(That's why TVXQ and Super Junior are so close, because they literally grew up together.)
So,, if you think about it, NCT is the upgraded version of Super Junior 'O5. Because, essentially, isn't that sort of how NCT works now? Fans first formed a bond with the NCT members when they were part of SMRookies, just like how fans followed the members of Super Junior when they were trainees. NCT also is a group who is constantly changing and rearranging its members, and every time a male trainee graduates from SM's training program they will be added to NCT. And even more similar, is NCT-Dream. NCT-Dream works almost exactly how Super Junior '05 was intended to -- the Dream members become members of that group to help them grow and mature and to gain experience within the industry, and when they graduate they become members of new groups, and they are no longer considered members of NCT-Dream. The only difference between Super Junior '05 and NCT is that the NCT members don't leave the group completely. But NCT is always changing and evolving in the same way as Super Junior had been planned to do. I think SM has always wanted to do something with that "project group" concept, they just learned from their first attempt and changed how they did things -- with NCT they warned fans from day one that this was how the group was going to work, so we were more on board with the concept this time.

Actually the longest running group with the same members since debut without any hiatus (except for obligatory military service) is their SM sunbae Shinhwa. Even in the Ginnes Book. Just had their 22nd anniversary in March. They are the craziest group and the first trouble makers in Kpop. Funfact: SuJu used to be called little Shinhwa and were scolded as ''Are you Shinhwa?'' when they go crazy or made trouble.
SuJu main vocalists are legends, lead vocalists are musical actors and sub-vocalists &rappers are good enough to debut as main vocalists in other groups. OT15 is 15 amazing vocalists. (Maybe not Kibum.I haven't actually seen him sing a long verse)

When Super Junior first debuted in 2005 they had 12 members, but 6 months later Kyuhyun was added to the group to officially make them a 13 member group.
Then in 2008, SM created the very first Mandarin Chinese sub-unit designed to bring Kpop to the Chinese market and they added 2 new members to Super Junior (Zhoumi and Henry) and Super Junior officially became a 15 member group. However, Zhoumi and Henry were only allowed to be members of Super Junior-M. So, Super Junior is a 13 member group + 2 (Super Junior-M) members.
So, technically, Super Junior was "originally" a 15 member group. However, in the same way that the Korean ELF supported Super Junior and forced SM to make them a permanent group, in 2008 when SM announced the addition of Henry and Zhoumi and the creation of Super Junior-M, Korean fans protested yet again. But this time they were against adding any new members to Super Junior. So the Korean fans forced SM, this time, to agree to only make Henry and Zhoumi members of Super Junior's Mandarin sub-unit (they needed more Chinese members to make the Chinese sub-unit work), and they were not allowed to be included in anything to do with the main group of Super Junior.
Then in 2010, Hangeng (The industry's very first non-Korean member of a Kpop group -- he was Chinese) and Kibum left the group and Super Junior became an 11 member group + 2 (Super Junior-M) members.
In 2018 Henry left SM Entertainment, but he never officially left Super Junior. Now, before someone says "Henry is not a part of Super Junior any more," I want to point out that it has never officially been said that Henry has left Super Junior. Yes, he left SM when his contract was up after 10 years, and started his own independent company, but that doesn't necessarily mean he left the group. So many true fans are holding out hope that this means he still may collaborate with SJ on projects in the future. (He is still living and working in Korea and he is still in contact with all the SJ members, etc.) After all, the 3 members of Girls Generation who left SM have said they would like to do something similar in the future. All three members of Girls Generation have said just because they left SM, doesn't mean they left the group.That's why when Girls Generation made their most recent comeback they did it as a sub-unit Oh!GG, because they weren't the full group. And even Taecyeon from 2PM recently left JYP Entertainment but his new company has said they plan to partner with JYP in the future to allow Taecyeon to continue activities with 2PM. (Taecyeon was included in 2PM's recent comeback and activities.) And L from Infinite left Woollmin Entertainment, but he says he has not left the group. So, it looks more promising all the time that if Henry ever wanted to do something with SJ again, he could. After all, Henry is one of Lee SooMan's (SM's) favorite people. (Even though SM may have never allowed Henry to reach his full potential under them, which is part of the reason why he left the company. But I don't think there was any bad blood between them when he left, and he has always been one of SM's most prized artists for the amount of talent he has.)
Then last year, in 2019 KangIn officially left Super Junior, and now they have 10 members + 2 (Super Junior-M) members.
However, currently they have 9 active members. Sungmin decided to take a hiatus from the group in 2017 because of Korean fans' protest over him getting married. And now after almost 4 years, even though he had his solo debut last year, he has still not done any activities with Super Junior.
Zhoumi renewed his contract with SM in 2018, so he is still an "active" member of Super Junior, however, because he is native Chinese, and with the political issues between China and Korea right now, Zhoumi has not done anything with the group for almost 4 years. However, you might have seen that Zhoumi recently released a new song "I'll Be There" with SM, and more specifically, under Super Junior's label -- Label SJ -- and it features Kun and Xiaojun from WayV (Members of NCT's Chinese sub-unit.). ruclips.net/video/O1Aub1BsIYA/видео.html Zhoumi is an actor, model, author, lyricist and song writer/producer, etc. in China. If it wasn't for all the political issues he would still be in Korea working with Super Junior right now. But because he is only a member of Super Junior-M and they aren't active right now because they can't promote in China, Zhoumi is doing other things with his career.
So, as you can see, depending on the time period you will see a wide fluctuation in the number of members who are included in each of their songs, MVs and activities. Because they have such a large group with such a wide range of ages (Super Junior members currently range in age from 36-30.) the number of members have fluctuated over the years as the members have all taken their turns serving in the military, because of injury, and controversies that have caused some members to take time off, etc.

Fans of great vocals consider Super Junior the kings of group vocals. It's tough to get 4 or 5 to sing together well, but to get 9 or more to do it, and so flawlessly? That's real talent. Best of all, each member's vocals are different enough to give them a lovely, unique sound when they're put together.
As for the quality of the vocals... Of course they can all sing. They're SM music artists, and if there's one thing SM does better than anyone, it's finding and developing fantastic vocalists. BoA, TVXQ, Super Junior, SNSD/Girls Generation, SHINee, f(x), EXO, Red Velvet and NCT--they can all sing. Even their rappers can at least carry a tune. There are no exceptions to this fact.
In the case of Super Junior, they have three of the best vocalists in all of K-Pop: Kyuhyun (guy at the beginning), Ryeowook (the bangs guy with the perfect lyric tenor who comes up to the woman) and Yesung (not shown here). Luckily for all vocals lovers, they have formed a Super Junior subgroup trio called KRY. Give them a listen sometime. They're incredible, separately and together.

Darn, if only you had known ahead of time, you really should have watched "This is Love" and "Evanesce" together. They are partner songs and the story in both MVs go together. The songs are like the opposite sides of the love story. Please watch "This is Love" next and see what we mean. "This is Love" was released first so it is the first part of the story and then "Evanesce" was released next to complete the story. So the story in "Evanesce" will make more sense once you watch "This is Love." You might want to rewatch "Evanesce" again after you watch "This is Love," so you can understand the connection between the two."This is Love" is a love song where "Evanesce" is a heartbreak song. As you can see in "Evanesce" they are in anguish, sullen, upset and crying. If you pay attention, Donghae (the guy at the end) is not the only one who is upset and crying in the MV, -- he is just the only one to shed a tear -- they all are upset.
Evanesce means "to fade away or to leave your sight or memory." So the song is about how they are slowly forgetting about the love that they lost and they are sad. That is why Eunhyuk (SuJu's main dancer and main rapper) is dancing with that girl, and it is almost as if she is a spirit or ghost of a past memory.
The first person you saw and heard sing was Kuyhun, and, yes, he is one of the 3 main vocalists of Super Junior. Kyuhun is the youngest member of the original 3 member group and he is a member of Super Junior-K.R.Y. (Pronounced like cry). This unit is made up of Kyuhyun, Ryeowook and Yesung, SJ's main vocalists -- Hence the name K.R.Y. And they are 3 of the best vocalists in the industry. (Yesung was the only member not in this MV because he was serving in the military at this time.) Super Junior-K.R.Y. is SuJu's first sub-unit and the Kpop industry's very first sub-unit to ever exist. Super Junior were the ones that created the concept of sub-units.
And of course all 15 members of Super Junior are amazing vocalists (There are 10 members in this MV). Remember they are an SM Entertainment group. SM is known for having the best vocalists and dancers in the industry. That's just a fact about the type of people SM selects to be a part of its company. That is what makes Super Junior so special. Not only can all the members sing, but even their rappers can fill in as a main vocalist when needed. Super Junior's rappers are better singers than a lot of groups' main vocalists, so that goes to show you how talented Super Junior is. :D As you get more into SM groups, you will soon realize that all of SM's rappers were actually chosen to become trainees because of their singing and/or dance skills. None of their rappers were chosen for their rapping and they all learned to rap, or at least became good at it, after joining the company. So not only are the rappers great at rapping, but they are also amazing singers.
They are so far from babies here -- it's hilarious that you call them that. LOL Super Junior debuted in 2005 and "Evanesce" came out in 2014, so the oldest members were 31 here and the youngest was 26. (I gravitate to Super Junior because all the members are around my age and I have been following them almost since debut. So we pretty much grew up together. At this point, they feel like family.)
A good example of just how impressive of singers all the members of Super Junior are, would be their performance of "Islands" at their Super Show 6 in Seoul from 2014. And to see what makes Super Junior-K.R.Y. such an amazing sub-unit you need to hear a live performance of "Sorry Sorry Answer" at any of their concerts.
