Tales of Symphonia: The True Final Battle

Game Modifications:
-Set Colette's kills to 5000
-Made Holy Judgment available for normal use
-Used advanced encounter edit from Sora3100's Cheat Table to make this fight possible
Strategy:
For EX Skills I took Life/Spirit Thief. I also need to make sure I have Krona Symbol to mostly negate Mithos's Retribution. Light resistance would be very useful here, but I opted not to take it because it would be boring.
The first goal of this fight should be to get the Dark Dragon and Plantix out of the way as soon as possible with Triple Ray Satellite. They are the bigger threats here after all... just kidding. They are actually quite dangerous in terms of the sheer amount of crowd and zone control they bring to the table. It's a real headache if they're allowed to live even if they do little damage.
At the start of the fight, Mithos and Abyssion are going to hit me with Time Stop into Divine Judgment. I recommend taking a Reverse Doll to survive this every time. This is pretty much an unbeatable combo. Sometimes, I won't take damage from the first half of Divine Judgment. I have no idea why and it seems pretty random. It's probably some weird Time Stop interaction.
If I were doing this fight optimally, I would probably focus Abyssion down first. It's harder to attack Mithos because Abyssion is so aggressive and Mithos won't use Retribution if I don't damage him. Even with Krona Symbol, Retribution can still inflict me with defense down, attack down, or curse (prevents healing over 50% HP). In this video, I opted to take them down simultaneously for the spectacle lol.
In any case, I want to hit them after they cast their spells. It's actually pretty nice how spell queue works for bosses otherwise this fight would be very difficult. I need to make sure I wait for their spells to cast rather than cancelling them because the next queued spell will go off immediately if I cancel one of their spells.
It becomes way harder to dodge Mystic Artes when there's so much pressure on me + it's a bit harder to calculate when they're going to use it when using Devil's Arms. I just have to keep a close eye out for when I think the Mystic Artes are going to go off. Also, my camera and character position are going to be much different from normal, so the normal methods for dodging Judgment and Meteor Storm may not work. I would recommend using Damage Guard-Spell Cancel to wait out these spells. They also have many Time Stops which means more Damage Guarding is in order.

Plantix and Dark Dragon clearly threw the fight because they knew how drastically outmatched you were and took pity on you.
Thankfully, all that leaves is Super Saiyan Abyssion and a genocidal child, who are a lot less merciful but also extremely tame in comparison.
Now, if THIEF was a part of this final battle, it would be truly unwinnable. I heard that man doesn't play around, and will make sure that you dont go anywhere.

I asked Thief to join the fight but he declined as he didn't want to be associated with fraudulent bosses such as Abyssion and Mithos ;)
I just finished catching up on all of your Colette content, and man, seeing how much you've improved over the course of the run with all the new tech culminating in this crazy battle is impressive!
Thank you for watching my run! It's crazy to me how much I improved in a game that is as simple as Symphonia. There is so much skill expression in the game's movement and I love it.
The two solos I'm most proud of are No Damage Grand Cardinal Trio and No Damage Abyssion so I hope you enjoyed those as well :)

Godamnit man! Where the heck do reverse dolls come from? Never heard of them before! You could always use your damage guard trick to survive the initial onslaught then heal up with life thief/fire absorption.
As for the spell delay, that’s a technical limitation of the GCN hardware. It can’t handle keeping the frame rate constant with any more than 2 lvl 2 or higher techs at once. One is reserved for the players, one for the foes.
This was a hell of a fight to watch! Great work!
For the Reverse Doll, you can get it by using a Rune Bottle on a Blue Sephira or through Dirk's customization. Damage Guard can't guard against Mystic Artes which is why I had to equip the Reverse Doll T_T

Crazy Colette as usual :). How did you manage to get this fight? I've managed to change the enemies I want to encounter and backgrounds, but I can't find a way to change it so I can fight whoever I want
And btw, why did you set Colette's kill to 5000? For Evil Eye?
In the table, you can find a option called "Encounter Modifier" which is above the "TSFix Background/Encounter" option which is probably what you're using. If you use "Encounter Modifier" you can choose to fight whatever enemies you want (up to four). You do have to use it in conjunction with the "TSFix Background/Encounter" because it modifies a specific encounter.
And yeah I set Colette's kills to 5000 for the Devil's Arm.

And sorry to bother you but do you know if there is any way to get artes usage to the max? I know we can manipulate Exp and get more items without even using the table but for some reason I can't change the arte usage changing the values :/ I want that for Regal and Spell Canceling
