I worked at an ace and there was always a bunch of stuff that I didn’t even know we had and it was great for edc, it was almost like a scavenger hunt each shift. I really like the leathermans, all of em. You can almost never go wrong. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the video. I’m a second generation owner of this store and love that you found what you were looking for (mostly). Always open to suggestions for cool new products. Glad you found us!
My favorite find drom these type of videos was the S.O.G PoverPint from bass pro shops. As someone who regularly carry's a small to medium sized multi tool it was great to see someone give the smaller multi tools some love👍
I totally loved that the Ace Milwalke light had a "bite zone" I totally hold lights in my mouth to go hands free and thought that was the coolest thoughtful idea in a simple product. Thanks for the videos =) I am totally looking for a front flipper knife after your last video =) it looks like a fun and useful addition to my EDC. Thank again!!
I gotta say that Milwaukee Fast back was the highlight of the video and I know you showed a few flashlights! But that one stuck out for me! Really enjoy this series so far!
for $15 bucks or whatever it is, that Milwalkee knife is a keeper. I bought one last year, and I find it in my pocket a lot. a good knife that I dont mind using a lot because its cheap. LOL
Honestly, I'm impressed with that Milwaukee light. Working in industrial maintenance, I see a lot of coworkers holding their light with their teeth. I'll definitely be recommending that one to a few of them.
I bought the milwaukee knife about 8 years ago and it was the first knife I used for EDC, I still have it on my motorcycle toolkit and have repaired at least 10 different motorcycles on trips with it. Cut plastic, wood, clutch cables hiting the knife with a rock, beat the hell out of It and still use it and love it these days
Some of their blades are AUS 8 and some are D2. As for that particular model, it depends on which source you read. So my guess is AUS 8, but who knows?
Walmart is the one which surprises me the most as I don't have any here in blighty seems to be a good all in one store for a quick grab and go type of shop ! 🙃 I really enjoy your video's and look forward for the next one each week 😀 keep the good work going your format works and in my opinion the best edc channel on the tube these days!
I've really enjoyed this series of budget/retailer complete carry challenges. I actually own a lot of the items you've picked up in several of these, but my definite favorite of the ones you featured is the Milwaukee fastback utility knife. I've been carrying the 6-in-1 version for about a year now as the back-up blade in my duty edc. It's quicker and easier to grab when I need to tighten or loosen a screw (#2 philips or flathead) than my multi-tool, and it barely takes up more room in the pocket than the standard fastback. I don't own the PowerPint yet, but for as much as you talk about it, I think I'm going to have to pick one up and give it a try.
My favorite find drom these type of videos was the SOG poverpint multi tool! As someone who regularly carry's a small multi tool it was awesome to see someone give the smaller multi tool some love
I think the SOG multi tool , the power pint, you found at Bass Pro was my favorite. I really enjoy these videos and I’m a big Ace Hardware fan! Thanks!
Long time lurker first time comment, just found an Ace less than a mile a way just a few days before this post and wow what a sleeper and you nailed it. Favorite find has to be Milwaukee fast back not an EDC but key in the tool box. My TPT slid is the edc utility take care and keep the content coming love it!
Hey there I work at a satellite office for COAST and for anyone wondering or for the content creators curiosity when the flashlights say storm proof it means we’ve tested the lights in storm conditions so rain or snow won’t get into the flashlight hampering performance. They cannot be submerged for any period of time though we simply manufacture them tight enough to prevent internal damage from rain and snow.
In terms of my favorite thing you've ever found on one of these EDC challenge videos was the Leatherman ratchet from the REI video. It's a great piece of gear despite being a little wobbly at times and really boosts the functionality of my Leatherman Charge. You're the man! Keep up the great content ✊
That wave leatherman is super clutch. Your videos have gotten me into EDC and I love seeing all of these videos from the different stores, keep ‘em coming!
Ace hardware Leatherman wave is my favorite find! Ive carried one for about 16 years now and absolutely love it and rely one it daily! I really enjoy your random store finds, gives folks a idea of what to expect in a pinch! keep up the great work Taylor and carry on!
It's actually great, the milwaukee flashlight was the best find I bought mine a couple months ago as a work flashlight and it definitely didn't disappoint, I also started using a micro pouch to minimize the amount of gear scattered though out my pockets, and I've fallen in love with that also! This channel has been my great find! It's helped me better find gear!
I love all these videos! After you got the crooked river at REI…I went to my local REI and found a 940 Osborne in the garage sale for 100$! Thanks for the great content
Out of all the videos you’ve done like this one this is the best one lol, the wave is a solid leatherman and I have a fast back and usually carry that over my leatherman soooo I would say this video was one of the best ones yet
I LOVE that Milwaukee fast back,, I've purchased probably a dozen or more of them for myself and as gifts over the last few years. Inexpensive, sturdy, and functional, they're a real EDC treat and the ones I bought were switchable tip up, tip down.
Excellent video. My best hardware find was an old school Nebo Redline flashlight about 10 years ago. I still use it in my work shed today. Keep doing videos like this. You never know what you will find.
Hey Taylor i believe the fast back line of knives uses Aus-8 steel for the blade. also my favorite find from this series has to be the powerpint just based on the compact size and the fact that its so over looked
I have really enjoyed this series too. Keep it up as long as you can! But for what has impressed me so far, I think when you bought that Garmin watch at REI I was shocked. Being an analogue watch guy, I never thought you would go smart watch at all.
My favorite find from these type of videos was the SOG power pint from bass pro shops. As someone who regularly carry’s a small to medium sized multi tool it was refreshing to see someone give the smaller multi tools some love.
I carry that milwaukee knife and the milwaukee 2011r edc light every day. I am a school bus mechanic, and all my stuff takes a beating. That milwaukee knife is the best budget blade I found. Use budget knives for work. Carry my good knives when I'm off work. The milwaukee edc light is great. I love it.
I like the change of format from the usual edc videos. This brings more to the video with the searching of the edc and then opinions of products. I like the Ace store video the best because of the Leatherman Wave Plus. I have the original Wave and have been thinking about the Wave Plus. Thank you for your spin on the edc videos.
My favorite, which I bought, was a CHUMS wallet. Love how its laid out, works perfectly for my needs, and its dirt cheap. I am thinking of picking up a second just to make sure I always have one if my current one ever fails or goes missing.
The best part of this video is when u where surprised on how the flashlight had rubber for teeth protection. I find my self doing the same thing when I need a both hands free and light. This video was awesome, keep up the good work bro.
Great video once again, realy like that Milwaukee flashlight! That rubber tip? Nice touch! What do you think about making one of these best EDC vids in a sport specialised store?
They Key Smart in this video may have been the best find. I was really just surprised that your Ace carried something like that. I wouldn’t expect to see one in my area. Great video series!!
The advantage to the rubber Keysmart is that it flexes in the pocket a little so if your pockets are full or smaller it's not a rigid piece of metal poking into your thigh. Not everyone uses a clip to Jang keys from a belt loop. Good video man.
I just started watching your videos and I’m hooked! My brother got me into Edc and I love that your videos are very beginner friendly and you don’t push the uber expensive stuff for people starting out. I really liked the REI video where you picked up the wallet but and like it. But couldn’t get past the color the entire video. Made me laugh!
One of my favorite finds from these types if videos was the SOG PowerPint. It was a sleeper for me for sure. Awesome video. Cannot wait to see where you go next.
I am an avid knife collector and I also work at Lowes. This last Xmass in or gifting area I saw a 2 pack of knives by Coast for $23 so I brought it, when I opened the package I was very surprised. They had caged ceramic ball bearings 14c28n steel ,G10 scales with a flipper. These knives are on par with knives costing 3 times as much.
The key smart is the most useful edc piece I didn’t even know I needed until I got one! I have the key smart mini since I only have three keys and it makes my keys feel so much smaller in the pocket which is nice since I hate the feeling of keys in my pocket. A1 product
Regarding the Milwaukee bite zone - I made my own bite zone for a couple of my torches by buying some silicone tubing and then cutting it to size/trimming. It does create a giant knob of silicone on the end of my torch, but I find I like that because I can grab it and know which end has the switch without looking.
I’ve actually had a fastback for about two years now (new to your channel) and it does wonders for me in the workplace, cutting thick boxes is a breeze with that thing.
Between my local Ace and one town over’s picked up Spyderco Dragonfly and unlike the long Nebo light you glanced at the start, picked up a Nebo torchy. Happy with both
Meowdy there taylor! I LOVED when you did the bass-pro edc video. The moment when you revealed the S.O.G. powerpint, really hit home for me. When you bought that lil multitool, i already had mine for two years. Used it daily. You can look forward to two years or more of good use out of your powerpint. That was my suprise/fave moment out of all of your storebought edc videos.
My favorite is the Fastback utility knife, I carry a Leatherman on a regular basis but sometimes having a utility knife is better for scraping or just beating up the blade without remorse haha. Thanks for the great content!
I carry that Milwaukee knife. Absolutely love it. Have the hawkbill version too. I carried it concealed on my person when I worked at a jail. We're really supposed to have it lol so I clipped it against my right thigh on my boxers beneath my pants. 13 years there and it was never noticed.
I can speak into Ace a quasi Ace employee… All Ace hardwares are locally owned. I work on the buying team for a company that owns 4 in my home town. “Ace corporate” operates as a vendor/distribution center to all Ace stores. So each location has access to the same selection product from Ace which is incredibly vast. Each store has the autonomy to bring in what ever products they want from Ace specifically, as well as purchase items from directly from other vendors and manufacturers that “Ace corporate” does not carry. Lots of Ace stores look like a hole-in-the-wall. I constantly hear how impressed and surprised new customers are with the selection. In-store customer service is often better than that of Lowes and Home Depot as well. Shopping at an Ace supports the local ownership. Money does not go to a global brand like a big box store. Best find - that Milwaukee rubberized light and utility knife is pretty cool. I will need to pick those up on my way out of the office today!
That Milwaukee folding knife is a surprising find, but a logical step after the fastback utility knives. Also, I've been using one of the Milwaukee pen lights for over a year and it has been a surprisingly phenomenal little light. It's been used and abused and keeps on trucking, definitely recommend them!
Love my Milwaukee Fastback, for the price and the endurance. I had used it as my everyday carry for over 3 years without issue. Very easy to sharpen when needed, which is not really that often.
For the leatherman. In the screwdriver slot, You can also buy the bit driver extension i use them for work. They actually just upgraded the extension and it is now come with a ratcheting feature. I keep that along with the two slides of bits it came with and there is nothing i can't open. Great edc. And also the pocket knife i use as my fishing boat better and believe it or not it is pretty good for everyday cutting, and i dont care if it gets dropped in the atlantic.
Great job with the Ace EDC gear! The Leatherman Wave Plus is without a doubt the best piece of kit acquired (A+) to date on the various store videos. Everything shown is useful, practical and tough.
Really glad to found the Milwaukee Inspection Light. I snagged one at Home Depot and am super impressed with it. It's definitely my favorite of your finds.
Rubber Keysmart was a surprise. Outside of Nite Ize I don't ever see other key options in many retail stores, especially hardware. Keep up the entertaining vids!
I’ve been binging your channel since discovering it a week ago. Great stuff! What watches do you recommend for someone who doesn’t like to wear a wristwatch? It must have a big face because I have poor eyesight, and it must be analog. Many thanks! John
I like this kind of video. The rubber key holder offers a little bit of flex versus being a straight bar in the pocket. There is a range of pants, pocket situations, and body types where that could be good. (It's the same reason that someone might avoid a longer flashlight or pry bar on their key ring.) On flashlights, I prefer yellow to harsh white. If you want a classic high-CRI penlight with a rubber bite zone, look for the Lightstar 80.
My favorite find was the SOG PoverPint from bass pro shops! As someone who regularly carry's medium sized multi tool it was great to see someone give the smaller multi tools some love. Thanks for the giveaway
love this series!! I think my favorite thing from these videos is the REI one with the Benchmade knife I love the classic look with the modern folder features.
Hey Taylor, what do you think of the Leatherman Titanium? I was thinking of buying one but I like the fact that the wave plus has a glasses tool and can't remember if the Titanium does or not, thanks and keep up the great content 👍
I think my favourite out of all these one-stop shop EDC videos of all would be this one at ACE. Why, because we don't have REI or BASS PRO here, and Aces here doesn't offer a Leatherman or a Milwaukee or a Nebo, just their own products. And my favorite gear that was featured here would be the Milwaukee Pocket Knife. I mean for 15USD why not? Instead of getting those knockoffs online, you should probably get this. Btw, thank you for featuring my photo last time on EDC Weekly on the Budget Carry. Appreciate it a lot man. Your biggest fan from Manila. 🇵🇭🤙🍻
You know its funny, my dad when I was alot younger said to cut away from myself at all times when we went camping but he never did and i asked why he said the same thing but I couldn’t because i was to young😂 love your videos btw
I love these kinds of videos. It's always fun to see what you can get locally if you need something now while you're waiting for your BHQ or Knifecenter order to come in.
Affordable, practical carry. Coast light good choice. Learned important lesson after a hurricane to always have redundant gear that run on AA or AAA. You can find those batteries anywhere or scavange from remotes and toys!
I really like that Milwaukee knife and flashlight. I've been replacing my power tools with Milwaukee now I may start picking up some of their smaller tools and accessories.
My favorite was the SOG Powerpint. I just love the size and paired with the tool set it's the perfect EDC Leatherman style multitool . I've really enjoyed the budget series you've been doing! Keep up the awesome content!
Thanks for a thorough review of some reasonably priced gear. I really liked the Milwaukee flashlight shame it’s too big for comfortable pocket carry. Cheers!
My Local Ace has a huge fishing section (because we're on the coast of Florida) and a really large Yeti/Sunglasses/Apparel section. Our knives section has options from Kershaw and Civivi. The Rite in the Rain stuff is at the counter.
Always great to see what you pick up. Most of my edc comes from Home Depot, Rona and Canadian Tire. I encourage anyone just getting into edc to shop at these places for their firsts and not blow the bank. I use Milwaukee fastbacks daily. For the price and durability they can’t be beat.
The Sog power pint has been my favorite find of these videos so far. I got one based on your continuous recommendations. I have to say I agree with you completely great small multi tool, I use mine quite often.
Ace is my go-to store for home repair stuff, they have a really nice mix and I like that its small but still usually had most of what I need. Have you thought of going a Best Complete Everyday Carry from o'reilly Auto parts of Autozone? could be interesting.
The Ace in my town in Texas is called Gibson’s; there’s a gun shop in the back that the owner keeps incredibly updated. New Oakley tactical, all Yeti stuff, Nightforce optics, etc. My wife LOATHES the place because she can’t get me out of there, and I do enjoy letting her see what that feels like from time to time.
First, let me begin by saying that I think your videos are awesome! I happen to be *just getting started* with EDC and am trying to build-up my gear. That being said, I loved the Leatherman Wave+ and agree with you about it's functionality. I was also impressed with the Milwaukee flashlight because of the thoughtful rubber-coated "bite zone"! That was quite unique! Keep-up the great work on your videos and EDC gear. Hopefully one day soon, I will have my gear up to your level.
I liked the box cutter. I use my box cutter 90% mainly because the replacement blades are cheap. I also don't want to mess up my s30v blade on my titanium Leatherman Charge. Thanks for the fun finds.
Do Pawn shops next? the ones near me have tons or watches and every once in a while a spydy or benchmade! could be good
I second this!!
Yup! Great 💡
Ooooo I didn’t even think about that yes try that
I’d love to see this as wrll
Yess
I worked at an ace and there was always a bunch of stuff that I didn’t even know we had and it was great for edc, it was almost like a scavenger hunt each shift. I really like the leathermans, all of em. You can almost never go wrong. Keep up the good work.
I love that many Ace still feel like an old school hardware store.
How did you not know your inventory?
@@PnwOnTour I did, however we constantly got new stuff.
Ahh, gotcha
Wow. Knives. Crazy right?
Thanks for the video. I’m a second generation owner of this store and love that you found what you were looking for (mostly). Always open to suggestions for cool new products. Glad you found us!
My favorite find drom these type of videos was the S.O.G PoverPint from bass pro shops.
As someone who regularly carry's a small to medium sized multi tool it was great to see someone give the smaller multi tools some love👍
The pocket clip on the Milwaukee knife can be tip up or tip down carry. Just throwing it out there, I have the same knife.
Got same light. Awesome. Love the bite feature
What the name of the flash light
I gotta say that Milwaukee Fast back was the highlight of the video and I know you showed a few flashlights! But that one stuck out for me! Really enjoy this series so far!

That wave leatherman is super clutch. Your videos have gotten me into EDC and I love seeing all of these videos from the different stores, keep ‘em coming!

Out of all the videos you’ve done like this one this is the best one lol, the wave is a solid leatherman and I have a fast back and usually carry that over my leatherman soooo I would say this video was one of the best ones yet
I like this setup. I randomly bought a fastback one day and couldn’t stop playing with the button lock!
The SOG Powerpint is the best find from this series of videos. I thought it was so good. I ran out and picked one up. THX
I LOVE that Milwaukee fast back,, I've purchased probably a dozen or more of them for myself and as gifts over the last few years. Inexpensive, sturdy, and functional, they're a real EDC treat and the ones I bought were switchable tip up, tip down.
Ace is a gem! They have knives you wouldn’t expect from a smaller chain
Excellent video. My best hardware find was an old school Nebo Redline flashlight about 10 years ago. I still use it in my work shed today. Keep doing videos like this. You never know what you will find.
I think this Ace Hardware was the best find. Like you said, a sleeper store but you got me curious on the Milwaukee gear now. Thanks!

Ace is the place for the helpful EDC folks!
One of my favorite finds from these types if videos was the SOG PowerPint. It was a sleeper for me for sure. Awesome video. Cannot wait to see where you go next.
I really think the Milwaukee pen light was the best find but I really like the garmin watch from the earlier video. Keep up the great work!

I have the fast back and flashlight from Milwaukee from when I worked at Home Depot. Thoroughly enjoyed it as my gateway into EDC!!!

I love ace hardware, been shopping there for years. The last visit I bought 3 Nebo lights, a headlight, a Davin IP67, and the Colombo.
I think the bass pro shop was my favorite overall, ended up buying that sog to try out! Thanks Taylor!
My favorite find drom these type of videos was the SOG PoverPint from bass pro shops.
Thanks for the GAW and good luck to everyone
My favorite is the Fastback utility knife, I carry a Leatherman on a regular basis but sometimes having a utility knife is better for scraping or just beating up the blade without remorse haha. Thanks for the great content!
I carry that Milwaukee knife. Absolutely love it. Have the hawkbill version too.
I carried it concealed on my person when I worked at a jail.
We're really supposed to have it lol so I clipped it against my right thigh on my boxers beneath my pants.
13 years there and it was never noticed.
This series is awesome! Thank you!
I must say I'm very surprised there was not a watch at Ace, but like you said it is a smaller store.

Love my Milwaukee Fastback, for the price and the endurance. I had used it as my everyday carry for over 3 years without issue.
Very easy to sharpen when needed, which is not really that often.
I think the best is the PowerPint, wich i own in black. Speaking of green, wich is my favourite too, when is the Minichamp coming back in stock?
For the leatherman. In the screwdriver slot, You can also buy the bit driver extension i use them for work. They actually just upgraded the extension and it is now come with a ratcheting feature. I keep that along with the two slides of bits it came with and there is nothing i can't open. Great edc. And also the pocket knife i use as my fishing boat better and believe it or not it is pretty good for everyday cutting, and i dont care if it gets dropped in the atlantic.
My local Ace Carries quite a few benchmades. Last time I went in they had approx. 15 different models. I was amazed.
i was actually surprised by the Milwaukee Pen Light by far i did nit expect it? love the content keep up the great work
Great job with the Ace EDC gear!
Definitely the bite zone on the Milwaukee light was a great thing to find out about. I will be getting one. Shop Ace all the time.
Heck that PowerPint was a sick find. Got a powerlitre after your video and is has come quite useful and falls on my pocket 80% of the time.
hey. just got into edc your videos are the best.
The Ace video was cool. The Leatherman is my fave! I’m a long time sub… keep the vids coming! Thx!!!
A Milwaukee FASTBACK 6-in-1 Folding Utility Knife with a shark tooth utility blade is next level! More bang for your buck with that Milwaukee knife!
I would probably say out of everything the leatherman wave plus is the tool I would use most often. By far my favorite choice. Ace has good stuff.
The Milwaukee fast back is great comes in handy for me since I work at a furniture store and do alot of unboxing and breaking boxes down
Thanks for a thorough review of some reasonably priced gear.
Love the series! The Milwaukee fast back utility has to be my favorite so far.
Thanks for the tip on the Fastback knife. I picked up one today at HD on sale (mossy oak). Well worth the low price. Decent edge and no blade play.
I was at Ace last weekend and picked up the Fastback 6 in 1 which has a really nice bit driver.
Hands down one of the best EDC buys from almost anywhere you've purchased from.
I liked the box cutter. I use my box cutter 90% mainly because the replacement blades are cheap. I also don't want to mess up my s30v blade on my titanium Leatherman Charge. Thanks for the fun finds.
