I'm so hyped. I was always wanting a complex and loaded mage in order to pick up and learn. Love control mages and am so so excited to pick him up and maining him.
I actually really like him, if there's anything I would like Riot to change is to have a visual icon indicator for what subject/style he is using, like if it's Q or W or E. maybe something similar to Aphelios. Because it's definitely gonna be really hard to see what's happening especially in teamfights for the opponents. To be fair though, his abilities are really well telegraphed and distinct from one another, but in the chaos of everything happening on screen it can be really easy to lose track of it. and when he has like 10 abilities to look out for, it can be daunting to face hwei
hes in the pbe now and ur wishes were answered! depending on the paint you choose (q w or e) ur entire hotbar changes color and hwei holds his paintbrush differently to indicate which mode hes in :D rly cool
From the rundown: - QQ is supposed to be his bread and butter trading and poking button. It's simple and target agnostic, the least situational of his damage tools. - QW has very long range, but deals low damage unless the target is low and either isolated or immobilized. It's best for people that are caught out so you can hit them safely. - QE does the highest potential damage of the three, but only if enemies stand in the zone. This is his waveclear and zoning tool, not poke. - WQ is very flexible, letting you help your team engage, escape danger, or step up to land a combo. - WW is his sustain tool, letting him stand his ground and trade. It's better the longer you can stand in it, so positioning the zone is key. It's also incredible AoE shielding for taking objectives. - WE is his greedy utility, giving you another damage option that also helps mitigate his high mana costs, but you need to step close to auto and you don't get MS or shields to be safe. - EQ is self-peel. A simple single-target fear for getting people out of your face. - EW is for catching people. It is blocked by minions, so it's not great for poking/trading, but the long range makes it good for scouting or securing a faraway kill. - EE is the wombo combo tool. Drag enemies together to hit them with AoE damage. Some combos - QQ + WW + EQ: Standard trade. Soak up their damage and hit them with your easiest spell. Use EQ to guarantee the QQ or to interrupt their response while you proc your passive and walk away - WE + QQ + EQ: Greedy trade. You do more damage, but take more damage and can't escape as easily. Weave in an auto before EQ for maximum damage and mana restore. - EW + QW: Catch combo. Throw the EW past the minion wave or to the side so they can't block it, and drop QW on them for the bonus damage. Use this when they're trying to base or when your jungler is fighting in the river. If you're safe enough, start with WE for more damage. - WQ + QE + EE: The Wombo Combo. When you see your moment, run forward with WQ and throw the QE through the teamfight before pulling as many people as possible into the burn. Mix your ult in if it's up for maximum combo potential. - WQ + EW: Engage combo. Get your team in the fight with the MS and catch the closest person for them to jump on. Use whatever Q spell will do the most damage. - WW + QE + EW: Objective control. Protect your team from the epic monster and do maximum DPS to it while scouting for the enemy.
@@unoreversecard1o1o1o i mean back when she was op qiyana fit the description perfectly. I dont think there is a newer 200years assassin but seeing as how the assassin items have beenin the past 2 seasons they make every champ feel like overloaded. 1/3 of the adcs still build lethality mythics
Also a "if you didn't play this champ for 50+ games you have no clue what it does" can't wait to play nasus vs this abomination and have no clue wtf is happening
The biggest challenge will be learning when to use what ability. My biggest concern right now is his entire utility spellbook, especially mana restoration and the shield zone.
Hwei feels like every tormented artist at riot decided to show the player base the kinds of working conditions they had to live in at the studio 😭 he does look very interesting though I can’t wait for people to play him
Gotta say, he doesn't seen to be the usual overload-200y-thing. He has a kit very similar to Lee or Nidalee (more than the usual 4 abilities), with a high skill ceiling and a lot of decision making. Overall, I'm curious and really hyped!
I know that everyone is trying to advertise this champ as super complex and hard to play. But he seems pretty simple tbh. Just another Mage with 3 Hit combo
It does feel viable as support. Lots of poke with good range, enough support as movement speed, shielding. On hit mana, loads of cc. This is definitely gonna be a very strong poke/engage support
Except there really aren’t many at all, yet a portion of the player base complains any time we get a male champion that isn’t just the epitome of burly masculinity, mostly because they are insecure about themselves or offended by the idea that some people actually like designs like this and not everything has to be catered towards their taste specifically, which is both sad and hilarious.
This is the new 200 years Aphelios of mages... Which abilities do you like the most?
E E
Me too :)
Or QW
the W abilities are definitely my favorite. such a nice blue color to them
The E Abilitys are my favorite but also QE
His design is actually so gorgeous, and the splash artcant wait to see his abilities with the winterblessed skin
Yeah but imagine spirit blossom😍
And shan hai scrolls or faery court
@@Mirabelle479pls dont put faerie court on this dude 😂
@@Mirabelle479 omg shan hai schrols aaaaaaa street demons would be good too
Is he better than lux. They should make him transform into lux

SO many spells but at least they are simple, reliable and straightfoward. Looks promising
Definitely has support potential with his speed, shields, poke, cc and ult.
Actually Aphelios Hwei sounds kinda scary lol
i feel like he fits perfectly for mid but also perfect for support
He's soooo beautiful AAAAAHHH I can't
Finally a champion who is actually well designed and mage... I LOVE THIS CHAMP IS TOTALLY AMAZING AND FEELS LIKE LUX :3 Thanks Yozu
Im honestly happy the mage playerbase FINALLY got a 200 years champion. Everyone else had Viego Ksante Samira Akshan... i cant wait to play him😊
When 200 year assassin tho

your voice fits so well with this kind of video :) !!
i think his walking animation is one of the most beautiful things about him
The Maplestory BGM goes hard here
feels like a very good change of pace for some new ideas! feels a tiny bit like how some gw2 classes function
this is a “i spam my abilities and hope it works” character 🤩
Also a "if you didn't play this champ for 50+ games you have no clue what it does" can't wait to play nasus vs this abomination and have no clue wtf is happening
Hwei somehow reminded me from a MOBA i used to play a year ago.. a certain blonde mage hmmm i wonder what is his name
Can't really invoke his name at this moment
I can't recall his name, but he had a lot of balls
He is truly fantastic for a mage. Can also be played as a support!
Mage Aphelios, time to start the paint!
the maplestory background music lmao
i found learning aphelios easy but THIS is something
ARE U GONNA START MAINING HIM? he looks fun to play
probably yeah :)
Lux being the most simple mage and then hwei the most complex 👁️👁️
Super excited to play him
The biggest challenge will be learning when to use what ability.

i love him beiing depressed artist e boy
Im more impressed with this new map. wow
Oh no he's hot

His abilities are actually so simple like jayce q, xerath w, nocturene q, nami e,...
not you keeping this hidden super well-
I know that everyone is trying to advertise this champ as super complex and hard to play. But he seems pretty simple tbh. Just another Mage with 3 Hit combo
his R and E abilities are soo cool
Piano players will enjoy him the most
I can already see myself get Paganini then Vivaldi played in lane by some god tier fingers otp Hwei soon lol, gonna be fun :)
Am I the only who notices new items in her build?
The damage he did at the start of the video exhausted lol
So they're finally putting dota's Invoker in the game...
is it just me or does the map look a bit different on this video?
Perfect for support.
Yesssss new mage
Leagues version of Invoker
Bot lane Aphelios and Hwei with the purpose of confusing you to death
when will he be released on pbe? i suppose this tuesday?
Doesn't his EW lock onto the nearest target rather than champion?
WTF 3:18 huntingguys ??! is that back ?
Aphelios who?
The way I'll never be able to main this guy since I have no finger dexterity and only use one finger for each key. Welp, happy playing to y'all. .
when will riot make a champion with an actually cool kit instead of just different shaped explosions
What in the actual good fuck
DOES ANYONE KNOW THE SONG PLAYINGG IN THE BACKGROUND???
Temple of Time: Remembrance
sooo complicated he's Aphelio's brother.
But hold on, wait, can we talk about how Yuumi fell off Twitch after he used Q?
So basically, mage aphelios?
no omg its invoker from dota 2
@@ilikemario6965comon dont compare invoke summoning meteors black holes tornados to this guy throwing paint
I love youu
my brain hurts
Sorry but wtf is that map????
"mage aphelios"
I wonder if he will be viable in support; you know the girlies love turning mages into supports
It does feel viable as support. Lots of poke with good range, enough support as movement speed, shielding. On hit mana, loads of cc. This is definitely gonna be a very strong poke/engage support
Hopefully he wont get the sera, zyra, velkoz treatment tho
actually, his gameplay is quite easy than aphelios cuz you can just press keys and deal damage😂
Thats like saying you can just auto with aphelios and deal damage obviously yes but to use his kit and not just use random things u have to know him
npc
Aphelios Ap
Con E de Nami :v
So many twink champions
good no one wants sett darius garen char

its literally mage aphelios this is so funny
