When Nigerians stop obsessing about South Africa and rather concentrate in comparing themselves with their regional peers, they may just turn the corner. Nigeria operates from a very low industrial base, in absolute and relative (per capita) terms so it doesn't help to compare it to South Africa.
I don't even understand why they even comparing mige Nigeria to South Africa 😢😢😢😢it is embarrassing. Nigerians are all over SA, pls find one South African who lives on Nigeria or looking for a job in Nigeria. Stop just stop. .
😂😂😂😂 it will take Nigeria 100 years to reach where South Africa is and have achieved .just check south Africa is part of G20 and BRICKS and Nigeria is not near there
Nigeria is just a paper tiger. The only reason they are number one economy in Africa is because of oil. Other than that what do they have. Their infrastructure is no match to South Africa and South Africa has a diverse economy.
How do you compare Nigeria to South Africa in terms of investments and economy? That’s absurd. The Naira has lost value in recent months. The GDP for South Africa alone speaks volume. Infrastructure development & investment in Nigeria is non-existent. South Africa continues to beat above all African countries in terms of foreign investment and industrialisation.
Your economy needs to be three times the size of South Africa for things to work but then you will need better roads... something that SA has and better transportation system, also better electrification, education, housing, less importation of goods and small, medium and big businesses. The confusion has to stop and also proper markets need to be in place and training physical and in online spaces.
By the first question the interviewer asked,i can tell she is not happy with south ahh taking over "What did nigeria do wrong" couldn't it be "What did south africa do right"
Nigeria should be unite ecowas and big brother region instead sellout the region and buy foriegn .... Inossan, Nord they no. Support.... Those car should be 1# and 2# cars in Ecowas nation in the next ten yrs
It is in the well-being of people that the meaning of it dwells. It is in how all .of these favor the human fulfillment in Africa, its meaning is founded. We must not forget that we are a continent from which thousands ran away as we have seen in Lampedusa, Italy, or in the conditions of these Sub-Saharan Africans chased here and there, jailed, here and there because after having ran away from misery, they attempted to cross borders illegally. Freedom, well-being, and human fulfillment must be the measures of what we are talking about.

The west Africa is now riddled with wars and coups. That creates a concern for FDI. Foreign direct investment. 😢
Very insightful
Nigeria has a population of 200 million people , and south africa 66 million
Let's not compete as Africans please
