Why is Africa turning away from the United States? | The Bottom Line
HTML-код

- Officials in the United States look upon Africans as people “in need of help” or people who “need to be told what to do”, and this is destroying relations between Africa and Washington, according to the former African Union representative to the US, Arikana Chihombori-Quao.
“The US needs to call a timeout and treat Africans with respect,” Chihombori told host Steve Clemons, adding that the US-Africa Leaders Summit hosted by the White House this week “will fail unless Americans see Africans as equals".
Chihombori-Quao argues that pan-African unity is the only path for the continent to be less dependent on outside powers.

I saw a quote on Facebook that says "every time China comes to Africa, we receive a school or a hospital, however, every time the west comes to Africa, we receive a lecture"
True talk hahaha
And plandemic 🤣🤣🤣
Please be aware that China is not building in Africa for free.
Just like the whites they have an agenda as well .
Plus they root whatever they can get
I think Westerners are very proud of their lectures, and they want Africans to listen and take notes
I am so proud to have this woman speak for our people around the world. She is not bowing down to the masses she is standing up for her people.
I'm a US citizen and I'm happy to hear the Ambassador's voice! If you can't keep the USA out, you invite loss of sovereignty.
I’m absolutely seething right now! Sounds like the US is trying to beat China in getting land and resources from Africa. My hope is that Africans will NOT trust either.
@9:40 the reason this is happening is because there is disrespect for ourselves. UNITE AND MAKE COLLECTIVE DEMANDS
@@JonROlsen LOL! Oh really and you think China is better? Africa is enslaving its generations by borrowing from China for everything it builds. They will rue the day the walk away from the U.S. If they believe China is a better partner. Wait until they default on one of those loans. Because its not a matter of if. But when!
it's no wonder why Africans are turning away from the United States! United States has done nothing for Africa but supported dictators and murderers and have funded terrorist organizations throughout the African continent to cause destabilization! they have done little or nothing to help Africa prosper they have only drained and depleted and exploited Africa for every resource they have and have supported the colonial Powers against Africa's efforts to create their own democracy and Independence !now they wonder why African people don't trust them and don't want them in Africa we can look at Somalia and what they have done in Ethiopia and don't have to go no further and not to mention supporting apartheid in South Africa we have a whole list of grievance against the United States and why Africans are turning against them United States have always betrayed Africa they have never ever supported Africa in their true efforts to uplift themselves but have always supported colonialism and pointers who have sought to exploit Africa!China has done more for Africa in the last 30 years than the Europeans have done in the 400 years that they have been there China has the same purposes and reasons the only difference is China is willing to deal with Africa on their terms and not on European terms and trying to set their own terms but China is there for the same reasons to explore Africa for its resources! China and Russia are beating the West at this game Africans the richest continent in the world and they want those resources!
T.I.A. This Is Africa!
As a South African, I'm proud of this woman, and I'm definitely proud of being in a generation of other Africans standing their ground and rising for themselves. ✊🏽💯
I'am leary of this woman because of her toes to the AU, which was initially contolled by non-Afrikans
China has allot of surplus goods for building their help is good in that sense and convenient for them. But just like Afghanistan, Africa needs to be at a certain level of development to be able to comfortably implement our structuring, technology, efficiency and stability otherwise our help and supplies would be sold off or stolen for basic needs usually ending up in criminal hands. Look at Japan and south Korea, that should be the motivation Africans need. Currently their problem is basic things like food, housing, and education which should be a simple enough basic requirement. They need to suck it up and work hard to be proud Africans and stay away from the ulterior motives of countries with get rich quick schemes. They will take away your freedoms... I hope Africans wont have to learn the hard way.
As a Afro-Caribbean from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 this is very empowering interview.

A weak dollar can signal an economic downturn, making me to ponder on what are the best possible ways to hedge against inflation, and I've overheard people say inflation is a money-eater thus worried about my savings around $200k
The stock market is a way to hedge against inflation. Most notably amidst recession, investors need to understand where and how to allocate funds to hedge against inflation and still make profits.
in my opinion, the impact of the rise or fall of the U.S. dollar on investments is multi-faceted but learning how to grow your money has never been easier than now that you can explore and experience a truly diverse marketplace passively by using a well-performing portfolio-advisor.
Exactly why i enjoy my day to day market decisions being guided by a portfolio-coach, seeing that their entire skillset is built around going long and short at the same time both employing risk for its asymmetrical upside and laying off risk as a hedge against the inevitable downward turns, coupled with the exclusive information/ analvsis they have, it's near impossible to not outperform, been using a portfolio-coach for over 2years+ and I've netted over 400k.
@@jeffery_Automotive Due to the significant falls, I need advice on how to rebuild my portfolio and develop more successful tactics. Where can I find this coach?
In fact, I'm not sure whether I'm permitted to say this, but I'd suggest searching for "Julie Anne Hoover" as she gained a lot of attention in 2020. She is both my coach and the manager of my portfolio.

Africa has been kept in the dark ages by the imperialist west for far too long. Hold your head up high and demand equal respect and treatment from all sovereigns. May your leaders be strong and incorruptible. Go Africa, go!
This lady made me proud on her stance. The key here is to be extremely strategic for the growth of Africa first. Don’t just talk the talk, walk the walk!! Africa has all the control without acting like they do.
There are no "Singaporean". Are you Chinese or not?

I am Eritrean African and so proud to hear this kind of heart filling discussion that tells the world that Africans are not going to tolerate the discrimination that is showed and experiencing African. The game is changing. But my advice and wish for African leaders and African people is, we don't have to stop thinking that, by our own we can do a good things if wake up and do our efforts to do better. Africa is providing food to Europeans but still suffering in hunger in our Africa. Therefore, let's do a special effort to make new Africa, educationally and economically. We shouldn't be an instruments to the outsiders to exploit us.

Africa need more progressive black women leaders! Many of the men have and are "too" weak......
Absolutely
It’s not about leadership, it’s about clandestine deals, political murders, proxy wars and sponsored terrorism that happen behind the curtain. Africa’s success is a threat to resource plundering by many in the west.
We act like the majority of politicians in these African countries aren’t Ivy League educated. Please.
Until you restore the mother of the motherland, Africa will suffer. The US can and will pay more than China and corrupt leaders will do exactly what they have been doing.

The US cannot possibly repair all the damage that it has already done to African nations by staging coups against their governments and plundering their rich natural resources for their own gain. This is why they have a much stronger trust with Russia and China (who has no such dark history) than the US. Any attempt Biden will make to try to patch up old wounds will only be a waste of his and America's time.
The issue is not the failure to understand the fact that they need Africa, (it should not even be what affords Africans respect), the issue is the wickedness in them. Same as the idea of turning other human beings into slaves, subhumans... that was not due to any lack of understanding, it stemmed from the wickedness of their hearts.
Thank God that they also die like every other human being... The pioneers of slavery thought they would live eternally... well, here we are, the world still exists with new humans, the muh#@$ are dead!
This world needs humans who love each other regardless of race, religion and all else.

Excellent statement my friend, greetings from Ireland,,
I am so happy that Africa is waking up and standing up to the United States. ❤
Volume spoken mam, this is truly a "bottom line delivery". Thanks madam Ambassador. Yes it is about time African leaders take their rightful place and do what's right in the interests of all. They have to make themselves seen as equal partners by doing what's right, thus their people will be treated as such. They should stop being selfish and seek the common good of the African populace...We the present generation of Africa are tired of this stigmatisation as inferiors, we are ready and hungry for change. God bless Africa...

I commend the interviewer for the simplest of things. Not only did he do a good job in questioning her, not only did he do a good job in allowing her to articulate herself with no interruptions, he pronounce her name so eloquently. Much respect to you both 🥂
Yes I noticed that too he did a fantastic job as journalist. I can tell he has a great heart ❤️. He’s not about nonsense…
Yes, well done journalist. He, and another older white lady who did a segment on Haiti, are only a handful who get it and do proper journalism/interviews. The European ones are condescending, often come to interviews with their own talking points and don't deviate, and they interrupt their interviewees a lot, not to mention they also going on the attack when they feel they are losing control. I invite you to look at those interviews done by European journalists of Prez Paul Kagame.
I tell you he is such a professional
Journalists are supposed to interrogate people. They're not supposed to just sit there obediently while african autocrats spout their one-party script.
This is the Aljazeera we know...
And our Dr articulated herself very well
Much respect to Mama Arikana. She hit the nail on the head. Engage Africans as equals, instead of dictating to us. Sadly leadership on this continent is still lacking. We need more strong leaders like her. Imagine all countries leaders on this African continent were like her, we would be thriving
America needs to put African Americans on this. Seems so simple. America makes a strength out of those they oppressed to grow once again. No agenda! African Americans need to be the individuals engaging these leaders.

At least I know the president of my country (Eritrea) takes no nonsense from the US or any western nation! Hence why US, EU & UN imposed sanction on us for the past 22 years. Where as the Chinese have been our closest trading partners. This is why we Africans have to do away with our relation with the west if unless they treat us with respect! My country has proved it is possible to survive without any trade / aid / investment with the west! idk seems like people just use the US as a scapegoat to get political points at home. maybe she's different, but most of the time nations and diplomats across the world just say stuff like this about powerful nations to stir up nationalist sentiment and popularity for votes in their own nations. Like what is the US even supposed to do? Constantly apologize for being powerful?
Yes she is an an intelligent insightful woman but she should also address the incompetence of our African leaders. The reason Africa is not respected is because most of our leaders are corrupt to the core and will allow their countries to be exploited and all they will ask in return is you make their pockets heavier. A lot of African countries have had independence for over fifty years and they still can't provide clean sustained water supply for their citizens despite selling billions of dollars worth of resources to the Americans and Europeans. That's the level of corruption Africa has to deal with.
Now stand on it,don't just say it.
just for black people and it is logic

Well said by the former ambassador. It's about time African leaders begin to have their countries' interests at heart.
Sadly many are too busy robbing their countries blind. South Africa been one of the most corrupt Leadership for the passed 27 years. That I must say is because the Clintons installed their puppets who allowed them to rob the country blind. Rhodesia now Zimbabwe was exactly the same. That’s why Africa is fed up with DC

How about "all we need is love"?
What about this countries interests to keep chattel slaves?
What about their interests to continue to exploit animals to the detriment of the rest of the world?
