    When looking for a neat head on an Elk hair caddis, you get a better result but cutting the 'head' part before tying the wings on the hook.

    What the copper wire? I'm sure there's a good reason, but it seems counterintuitive on such a buoyant pattern.

      I just think it's easier to wrap and segment the body. The fly is gonna be super buoyant with all the elk hair and a little floatant.
