Articaine has much more tissue penetrability and works much faster. And, we can also give infiltration for lower molars in young patients and it works great. Just my 2 cents.

I’ve been to maybe 4 dentists here in Japan over the last 30 years, with one dentist replacing all of my old amalgam fillings. Never had a painful injection. Had one dentist in the US give me a painless injection. I asked why others didn’t do it. He said others know how. It just takes more time and it doesn’t hurtbthem.
I was very surprised my anesthesia almost didn't hurt at all; the needle was super small and fine,foctor applied the numbing spray,I felt very little discomfort! (And I do have phobia of going to dentists,but now it isn't that strong )
@@dakotagarrison974 On a scale of discomfort from 1 to 10 it was a 2 .I had my eyes opened and never even blinked.But,important to mention again-my doctor was super careful
Dr. What about shoulder tapping? I have been an Assistant for 20 years and I always use the shoulder tap kind of the “Oral Earthquake” or the dental vibe but instead of the mouth the assistant tap the patient shoulder while the Doctor or the Assistant say “take a deep breath” “focus on the tapping on your shoulder” that have always work for the patients and they report that it takes the mind of the anesthesia. 🌸😊
Yep, I’ve been a assistant in general & oral surgery for 28 years now. My first 10 years was at a privately owned office where they did general dentistry and oral surgery. The main dr./owner did full mouth extractions a lot and another dentist did general dentistry . I worked with both of them so I got the best of both worlds . It was awesome because I started when I just turned 18 and just graduated from high school. So I didn’t know a single thing about any of it. They trained me on the job . I did get several required certifications like my x-ray certification and I went back for my expanded duties certification (even tho he didn’t require it). I learn much faster when it’s hands on. But finally the point I wrote this comment is I learned the “ shoulder tap technique “ when I started there and have been doing it every since. It does help. I had two patients tell me this week of how well they thought it helped them. So it’s the simple/small things that make a difference. 😊 Now I’ve been in oral surgery for the 18 years and l love it. It is tough sometimes standing and leaning over for long periods of time . I’d rather stand instead of sitting if I had the choice. I have a bad back and that gives me more issues than standing.

i was at the dentist yestarday and he gave me 3 injections and i still can feel insane pain he was a little shocked is this normal or is he using like cheap anesthesia or i have higher tolercance for it ?

What the difference between having the injection in the Outer gum and the Jaw gum?
But what is the difference between the lower block and the Gow gates , on the video it looked just like lower block. Correct me if I'm wrong.
