Jim Cornette is great I love listening to his audio's. I've been a Jim Cornette since his manager days. he tells it like it is and is not afraid if people like it or not.
Say What You Will, He Does Still VKM in High Regard ... He Never 100% Blamed Vince for His WWE Struggles ... But on the Guys Underneath Him with Some Serious Power Trips Because of Their Closeness to Vince (Russo, Prichard, Dunn, et al)
Here are the best parts: 1)His Kevin Dunn impression. 2)His Ed Ferrara impression. 3)His rant about Vince Russo at the end. 4)His comments about Shawn Michaels. 5)He has an actual book that they used from his booking days in WWF at the time where he gives facts like attendance and how much money they made in a town. 6)Just an overall entertaining dvd because Cornette is great. Please ask more questions about Vince Russo in the next dvd and a question about Mark Madden and John Laurinitis!
@KayfabeCommentaries Bought this 2 weeks ago and watched it in one sitting! Def worth the money - entertaining and enlightening....gotta love Jim Cornette!
In 1996? I would think people by that time had already wised up about that stuff in wrestling. Still, it was very detrimental to the business but by 1996 I'm going to have to give the fans a little credit with how the wrestlers really interacted towards each other in reality.
@gambitrocks Yeah you gotta respect Mick for risking his job to stand up for something he believed in. He said in his book that a bunch of the guys were saying they were going to boycott Raw but Mick was the only one to go through with it.
What he says about DX burying the angles was EXACTLY TRUE. They no-sold everybody as a threat and then refused to put anyone over. The nWo did the same thing and thus the Clique caused the slow death of wrestling.
I've never heard him say bad things about Jim Ross, Steve Austin, The Rock, the Undertaker, Kane, or Mick Foley. I can see him hating The Kliq. So you could lump Hogan/Nash/Hall/HBK/HHH/Chyna into one category of general "fuck them". If you watch the whole interview he seems to have liked Bret Hart. But he also seems to have taken an objective stance on the Screwjob. He doesn't really try to side with either. He was frustrated with both Bret and HBK for being unprofessional during the lead up.
This is an essential purchase if you love Cornette and/or 1997 WWF. Only thing is the other Timelines seem weak in comparison. The new Nash '95 DVD looks fantastic though.
Cornette likes many people in the business. He'll only say bad words to those who disrespect him, the business, hold young talent back, and arguably has a different vision than him (hence his rivalry with Heyman). From your list, I say only 2-3 he truly despises. HBK and Nash for definite.
I may need to buy this. sounds entertaining as fuck. I can see the 3+ hours flying by. because I may not agree with everything he has to say, but the passion in which he says it proves how much he loves pro wrestling and wants it to be better. Jim Cornette is the man.
@ProWrestlingRewind my view i put heyman and cornette in same as great minds who can do any roles. cornette as manager vader, bulldog, owen hart jeff jarrett. or as member of creative writing team. the great thing about heyman is he had most passion pro wrestling fans in world. anyone could get over in ecw in bingo hall in south philly.
@skinwalkerxxx he's like that because vince was actually helpful to him in his career and 'always treated him fairly' as he says. he only bashes the people who as he says 'have no redeemable qualities whatsoever'.
lol I've asked myself this question many times. What's makes me wonder is that he's so unrepentant about his dislike for these guys even if they have changed their horrible ways since then i.e. Shawn Michaels. He talks more about the guys and things he dislikes than the guys and things he actually liked.
I know this may be unpopular, but is there anybody that Cornette does like? He hates on Hogan, Piper, Savage, Nash, Hall, Bret, HBK, HHH, Chyna, Vince, Paul Heyman... He was a great manager. But he is not the creative "genius" that many make hiim out to be...
Yeah but he's out of touch and he's absolutely grounded in the old school. That's fine to an extent, but he's too far to the extreme, much like Russo is too far to the other end. And it bugs me that people act as if JC NEVER lies, exaggerates or can be wrong.
The Jenna Jameson reference nearly had me dying of laughter! LOL!
IT IS NO DOUBT worth the purchase price. THE most informative and entertaining behind-the-scenes shoot EVER
I so want undertaker to do one of these.

Cornette is a very smart man. I am buying this dvd as soon as I get paid this Thursday. That's a fucking promise
I may need to buy this. sounds entertaining as fuck. I can see the 3+ hours flying by. because I may not agree with everything he has to say, but the passion in which he says it proves how much he loves pro wrestling and wants it to be better. Jim Cornette is the man.

he doesn't hate hogan, Bret, Savage or even Piper for that matter. But he does HATE the Kliq and sometimes Vince.
where can i buy this DVD I gotta see it
I hope Cornette and Sean Oliver/KFC can get over the recent Ruso incident.
This might be the first shoot DVD I buy. Granted its one sided but even if the stories are bullcrap they'll be entertaining.
1:35 Get used to that screen, as about an hour of this DVD is just that.

Bring Cornette back ASAP
Everyone knows Melina was going "deep inside the WWE"
Shawn Michaels disliked this
epic fucking ending... only cornette could pull it off
lol nash and his hairflip
I love Cornette's Family Guy Shirt CORNETTE FOR PRESIDENT
Cornette #FTW
@skinwalkerxxx he's like that because vince was actually helpful to him in his career and 'always treated him fairly' as he says. he only bashes the people who as he says 'have no redeemable qualities whatsoever'.
@julioholderbusiness 1. that's not the reason he's not in wwe or tna and 2. he doesn't shoot ENOUGH.
Family guy shirt hahaha
@gambitrocks Mick Foley, refering to him as Cactus. He boycotted Raw the night after the screwjob, so Cornette is probably talking about that!
Cornette hates EVERYBODY!
why cant all southerners just be named ''jim cornette''
lol I've asked myself this question many times. What's makes me wonder is that he's so unrepentant about his dislike for these guys even if they have changed their horrible ways since then i.e. Shawn Michaels. LMAO!!
@Hughezy dude... *facepalm*
why the tennis racket Jim? Why not a baseball bat?
wwe needs cornette asap but probably keep shawn micheals away from him, these days i rather see those donkeys and chickens, it's better than the miz.
Seems like he just hates the WWE & everyone in it. But JC is still the shit!
I've already watched it, and it sucked.
