- I WAS CONDUCTING A FIRST AMENDMENT AUDIT AT THE SALEM, NH TOWN HALL ON JANUARY 5th 2021. I WENT IN TO DO AN INSPECTION ON THE CODE ENFORCEMENT FILE WITHOUT ANY ISSUES. AS I WAS TAKING A TOUR OF THE TOWN HALL I WAS CONFRONTED BY A MAN BY THE NAME OF TOM GIARROSSO WHO WORKS FOR THE PUBLIC ACCESS TELEVISION NETWORK SCTV17. HE FOLLOWED ME AROUND THE BUILDING AS I WAS CONDUCTING BUSINESS AND BECAME THE MAIN HEADLINE. DURING THIS TIME I FOUND OUT THAT THE PANIC BUTTON WAS PUSHED AND SALEM POLICE WAS DISPATCHED. I CONFRONTED OFFICER GOMEZ AS HE CAME IN THE BUILDING WHO WAS HESITANT ON IDENTIFYING HIMSELF BUT FINALLY CAME AROUND TO DOING SO. HE SUPPOSEDLY HAD NO IDEA WHY HE WAS THERE AS THERE WAS NO REASON TO BE ANYWAY. I CONTINUED DOWNSTAIRS TO THE CITY CLERKS OFFICE TO FINISH UP MY AUDIT AND TOM WAS RIGHT BEHIND ME THE WHOLE TIME OF COURSE. BETWEEN ALMOST 6 OR 7 OFFICERS ON SCENE NIETHER OF THEM CONFRONTED ME OR ASKING FOR ABSOLUTELY NO INFORMATION FROM ME. THAT IN ITSELF TELLS ME THEY KNOW WHY IM THERE.

i think those employees need to be told the story of the 'boy who cried wolf'. Hitting the panic button when there was nothing wrong at all, might in future not get an immediate response from police if a real situation requires it.

You are right about Sue Wall, she does think she is above all, she is an elected official with no challengers to her office so she has no fear about giving town residents attitude when they ask questions. Rarely patronizes disgruntled residents when they ask legitimate questions. Their billing system which Sue manages, is archaic, online billing is wrought with transaction fees, they will email you a bill, but never email you a reminder if late, send threatening letters only after has accumulated months of late fees. I have asked to have my bills stop coming via email and back to paper but they keep coming by email.

In fairness to him, that just made sense. He wasn't yet aware that they were all pushing the narrative that only one person filming was a problem, but the other was perfectly fine.

You need to send a copy of this video to the City of the Town Hall audit. Everyone employed there would benefit from your interactions with the Police near the end of the audit. They would learn that public photography is allowed in public areas...not restricted areas.

These public employees/servants, will never accept the fact, that without the money, taken from the citizens, mostly without our permission, they would not have a salary, let alone, be able to pay taxes, on that salary. That is the dumbest claim ever, I pay taxes, also, but only on money stolen from, the public.

The caller is the inciter, always. That is in fact law.
beginning and talking to someone and not getting to the point would be consuming their time, standing after the side and filming someone and trying not to engage them is the opposite of taking someone's time.

The people in this office don't know how lucky they were that day. Press NH Now was on his most cordial behavior I've ever seen and they still reacted like he walked in with an explosive. He was in a mellow mood that day. Normally, he enters and sets them straight right away about public photography. He doesn't allow any violation of actual law and follows through with complaints or even lawsuits for the most outrageous audits.

So, at 15:23. you said you have Salem PD, the tyrants of Salem..... What did they do wrong that you would call them tyrants? Even when you were downstairs you were waiting for them to come, and they didn't come down...These cops were totally respectful .
What I’ve noticed is in the small towns the police are more corrupt and have tyrants than bigger cities. Like the police in Denver are not too bad, I’ve come across many good officers and obviously once in a while there are tyrants but not like how they are in small towns.
Salem police are known to be horrible, power hungry cops, more than other smaller towns. When we were growing up, cops showed up to a party where a buddy was sleeping and told everyone to come to the living room after they walked in, the kid who woke up said I need to shut the stove off, it's on, and went to shut it off and the cop tackled him, punches him in the head breaking his hand. And the cop said the kid smashed his hand, and was charged with assault and battery on a cop and did a year or two in prison. Another kid who got arrested, kicked out the window of their car while he was in the back, and they took him out and smacked him around, and their report said he banged his head on the glass til it broke.
I totally agree .our town cops aren't bad . One former cop came in the gas station a like a minute after me I purchased a coffee only and as I was cashing out he came in and asked who's car that was idling out front of the store .I said my car is there a problem .he said shut it off it stinks . I was like I'm just leaving and didn't know there was an idle law in town .he followed me out of the store right on my heels .I got in my car and called him a douchebag .he said did you call me a douchebag I said ya because you are being one .. I called and complained to the chief and that cop was waiting for me that next day to get to work . I was like really I knew he must of been there for me .and I was right but he was there to appaligize
