He dismissed the second case?? I know he’s a kind an lenient judge but that one was pretty egregious. It was waaaayy after the light turned red AND she turned left from the center lane. But... this is Judge Caprio after all. He’s got a heart of gold.
I agree with Ziggy, Chantelle should have been fined. Her defense was that she has a fast car, which means she was probably speeding or does so often. And she wasn't even in the turning lane.
I gave a man a traffic ticket for going through a Red Light. It was 4 way intersection, I was right behind him, pulled him over and talked to him. It was very RED when he went through it. When he had his day in court, he told the Judge the light was PINK when he went through it. This man could have cause himself or other drivers a very bad accident. The Judge was Not happy when he said that and gave him the 3 points and he paid $142.50. If you go passed the stop line or into the cross walk you have just run the Red light. I watch this show all the time, this Judge Caprio, is Great and Very Fair Judge !

But she had a lucky day I guess. 🤔 To bad these procedures (with a kind judge) are not possible here in NL. All (normal) traffic violation tickets are automatically sent to you and no judge can change them..🙄. (Heavy ones are via the judicial systeem) In theory it is possible to protest against your tickets but the process, efforts and duration is so horrible that almost no one in the Netherlands does that!

He prefered her to spend that money on the kids instead of paying the city. He knows she was in the wrong, but she got the message and she probably won't do it again.
