    As an editor (maybe I'm the only editor who follow your channel), I totally agree with all you talk about in this video. An editor must be on the same page with your work style. I suggest to give them as many feedback as you figure out, it will help them a lot to know what's your expectations (sometimes it took a week or a month back and forth with a lot of revisions to know each other perfectly).
    Wish you all the best, thanks for keep sharing valued information!

      This right here! I hope everyone who watches the video reads this because it really is a business relationship that requires some back and forth to get right. Thanks for being a part of the community!

    As a seasoned photographer, I can say that this is true.
    Understanding the client is much more important, especially when you both communicate remotely. The second most important thing is hiring a candidate who knows the technicalities of how the photo (RAW) was taken and all the basic adjustments in the editing software (e.g. difference between Clarity and Contrast, Shadow and Blacks, etc and how to compensate each one with the other).
    For me, in order to achieve the editing style of the client, you must know all those things so that when you see the edited photos of the client, you can easily determine how the tone was achieved just by visualizing.

    I'd love to see what your editor is all about. I have a few I'm using. But, like you said, the quality diminishes over time.

    I would like to check them out, see if they're better than the one I currently have. Sometimes I have to shoot HDR and what I get back is too washed out or muddy looking. Or if I shoot flash, they don't get the white balance correct.

      I totally understand the issue you're having. I'm not entirely sure because I have gotten a few emails now asking for his information but if you have not emailed me yet for his information yet I would do that and I'll send over his teams information ASAP

    Good day Mr. Deihl. Have followed you on and off and I find your editing really really great. Similar to only a few well known names on RUclips real estate. I am South African working in Cape Town. Most of the photographers are really not too interested in giving great content. It’s not them as agents are not really interested in quality but quantity. It’s pretty cutthroat and I would like to be ahead in this game but I am good but not very fast as I use flash and spend many hours in Lightroom. Am I being forward in asking you for your editor. My work around would be much faster and with images like yours really can’t fail. Our exchange rate is crazy high but high end properties and keen sellers would use my services. Kindest regards. Graham Leigh.

    Mind if I ask what company does real estate editing for you?

    Hi Jeremy, I'm in Vancouver, Canada. I am very interested to know who your editors are? I'm pretty low volume but I've found it difficult to find a good eating team.

      Hey there! If you look at the description of the video I have the contact information for one of the editing teams I use, but if they don't work out for you you can email me and I can send over a different one 😁

    When you send HDR Photos to your editor, do your send all of the raw photos, or do your merge them first in Lightroom and them send them?

    • @jeremydeihl
      @jeremydeihl  Год назад +1

      All the raw files for sure. This way they can use what parts they choose. Most professional editors actually don't use Photoshop or Lightroom, they use a program called Kaotec(I don't know if that's exactly how it's spelled off the top of my head) but having all the raw images helps that program greatly.

    It really is a hard work until you find a person who can understand exactly your way of thinking about a photo production.

    • @jeremydeihl
      @jeremydeihl  Год назад +1

      I agree that this is the hardest part of finding an editor that you can work with and grow your company with. It is so much more difficult than find an email online and send them your raw photos.

    I know what you mean about the blacks, they always cook our twilights in particular with modern dark finishes :)

    • @jeremydeihl
      @jeremydeihl  Год назад

      Yeah twilights are some of the hardest to get right. As long as you have a style you're going after with an example it should be easy for them to determine if they can match that style or not

    Can"t imagine to hire someone to editing the photos when I found yesterday, that price for real estate photos in our country is around 80bucks for a small flat :)))

    Hi Jeremy, Just getting started in RE media after 20 years as a RE investor. Would love to have the referral from you as to who edits your photos! Two other quick questions... are you shooting HDR or some form of flambient images? Also, do you edit your own videos (they are AWESOME)? If not, who creates those for you? Thank you in advance for this info and thank you SO much for what you're doing on this channel. Incredibly informative (AND motivating)!

    • @jeremydeihl
      @jeremydeihl  Год назад

      Hey there Alan, thanks for the compliments! As for my videos I do them all myself because I can't find a video editor that I like for a price that matches my clients price points. That being said if you send me an email I'll give you all my editor's information (I don't like to put it up publicly so he does not get all the spam mail that I get currently haha)

    • @vidsolproductions
      @vidsolproductions Год назад +1

      Hi Alan! I have a RE media company based in Italy, and I'd be happy to send you a quote for photo editing. Also, I'm a native English speaker, so it would be compatible with Jeremy's advice of finding someone who speaks English. How can I get in touch with you? I'm sure I can give you the best quality with lower rates than any US/CA/UK based editors :)

    Hi Jeremy. I'm working with edithere, they charge $3 per High-end image. Is that expensive?

    • @jeremydeihl
      @jeremydeihl  Год назад +1

      Hey there Emily, I think the price is relative to the service you get and the actual image you get back. Some people see $3 per image as a steep price and some see it as cheap just depends on the market you're in and the style of your final output image. But if you feel it's too high you can email me and I can give you the information for my editor if your price shopping 😁

    • @vidsolproductions
      @vidsolproductions Год назад

      Depends on the offer, do they just edit in Lightroom or also do dust and cable removal in Photoshop?

    • @iamsampark
      @iamsampark 11 месяцев назад

      Hi @jeremydeighl I have been an editor for many years in the automotive industry, and I’m now getting into real estate. Would you say $3 per image is fair? I saw in another video suggesting not to go over $1. I can do high volume with my team, but I’d rather stay in the $3 range so we can provide the best work.
      Also, is there a marketplace or community where I can meet more real estate photographers?
