Is there a lower limit to where it can begin lifting? I have a low sports car and by the time you have the lifting blocks below the lift points on the car there would only be a couple of cm's max before it starts lifting.
+MrChristyvideos The lift is 2050mm in total, and the recess 330mm, so the height from the floor is 1720mm. Then there is the rubber blocks between the lift and the sill, which brings the height to 1800mm from the floor (of course, a larger block could be used to increase this height, if necessary).

i have a 100mm recess, would the surface mounted lift be ok for that? and do you deliver to the uk?
The lift is 116mm high, when fully down.
how deep would the recess in the floor have to be ?

Redmount is the lift just laid into the recess, does it need reinforcement.
