As a blacksmith who is starting to dabble in carpentry, I can appreciate this build! One critique I would offer, however, is to grab some skate bearings for the wheels because leaving the wheels right up on the bolt will cause the bolt to loosen.
As a carpenter starting to dabble in blacksmithing, I appreciate the critique, the sub and am hoping we can stay in contact. I’ll be heading over to your channel also! Thank you for the advice. Hammer on!
Love it! You do such a great job of integrating metal into your pieces. Solid workman/rustic feel to it - you can absolutely imagine this right in an old Viking village. Good on you for thinking about the portability aspect of it. I definitely would have forgotten that I need to be able to move this thing. Knots are such a pain. So pretty sometimes, but always ready to ruin your project. Can't wait to see what you build first with the anvil!
@@MJLWoodWorks Obviously my view numbers say I'm no expert either, but I'd start with taking a look at your thumbnail. It's a little hard to see what the product is under the text treatment. I might also rearrange your title so that the simple, beginning, DIY, upcycled words are later, because on my list, the actually "Anvil Stand" part of the title is missing. So it's hard to tell from a glance what the video is going to be about.
@NineRingsWoodCraft thank you!!!! I’ll take a look and adjust! As for your “numbers” it’s strange, I’ve subscribed and been fed more peeps with lower numbers than huge ones. And the community I feel I’ve been building is with the smaller channels because they are more apt to comment, follow up and actually have a conversation. Thanks man! You are part of that and it keeps us going!
@@NineRingsWoodCraft Hey I changed the thumbnail so you can see the anvil stand better and still have a title showing. I definitely got an up-tick in views, nothing astronomical but a small surge nonetheless. Thanks again for the constructive thought!
Looks like you enjoy sanding as much as I do😅 Nice anvil! I always wanted to get into blacksmithing, it would be great to be able to make some woodworking tools! Really enjoyed this video, keep up the good work! 👍
@adrianwoodworm Thanks Adrian, I appreciate you checking out the video and sanding is totally the best....not! 🤣 This is the reason I have the anvil...If you saw my War Hammer video, I told a friend of mine that I was making two of them and one would be for him. He also has one of the Viking shields I made. Because of this he decided to have an anvil shipped to my house as a surprise thank you gift. I had no idea what it was when the crate arrived and it weighed so much I had to help the delivery person. Once I realized who it was from I called him to say thank you and he told me that I should get into knife forging and make his wife a pair of knives based on the Assassins Creed video game. 😅 So I am asking my wife for a portable forge for Christmas! 😃

Thanks! I do feel like my garage is becoming a movie set for a medieval workshop at times! Really appreciate the praise! Keep creating brother!
Hey, looks like my latest video is tanking, any advice for me?
