At the end of the day it will always be a case of what your intentions are with using openai and what you personally seek out of it. For what lecturers assume, its a way for students to copy paste assignments. Honestly for me it's a second teacher, breaking down the fundamental concepts of the most random things and provides me with so many prompts that give me directions to look. Its like a lead on a case, but you still have to play detective!
Absolutely. I tell my students that the "it will write their essays for them" concern is such a small vision of what this technology can do.
So now the world does not need French students interested in economics and data analysis anymore ??
I'll become useless 😰
C'est la vie!
Hey I love the youtube community and how people show their passion and love to others such postive vibes
The AI will separate the already successful even further apart than the rest. To the average person it won't make much difference. No amount of information will cure procrastination and laziness.
I think 2 Minute Papers channel did a video simulating AI running the economy and setting economic policies to see if it could outperform humans. I think it is the future.
Good luck ❤🥺
Plz suggest a good university in America for PhD in development economics where you can get scholarships also
How concerned are you about AI super accelerating the issues of knowledge as a public good?
If bing bot starts just scraping the web for answers (even if it throws up the associated links), then fewer people are clicking into websites, and fewer ad revenue is being generated and shared with the sites creating the information bing bot is scraping. There will always people people adding knowledge to the internet for no reward (thanks wikipedia), but that number of total knowledge creators would be reduced. Unless microsoft and google come up with new incentives to keep AI running, seems like AI will eventually reduce the rate of new information being added to the web.
Certainly there are concerns there, but there is also a compensating effect that it will give so many people access to information that it will actually create more new knowledge. Let's say only 10% of people in the world are capable of adding new knowledge to the internet. If this lowers barriers to entry such that the number increases to 15% (which is easy to imagine considering how most of the developing world is excluded from the frontier) that's a 50% increase in knowledge producers. I think the scale effects are going to dominate.
What exact feature did you use to extract those data?
Studying economics introduce me to you.
Please chatGPT don't steal our Research Assistantships that we so much need to even apply to selection for PhDs in economics 😅
Your jobs are gone, human.
Ur brilliant, I love the way u explain
As an undergraduate economics student, I am concerned that economist positions in the next decade will be gone due to AI and its ability to make conclusions as well as perform data analysis.
bro, you are the best!
This is pretty epic
