What a national treasure she is! Louise Bennett should be recognized as one of Jamaica's National Heroes for her rich contributions to Jamaican life and culture. Her poetry and performances allowed us to feel proud about who we are as a people. Without her body of work, so much knowledge of the culture would have been forgotten. let's not forget her!

The good old days, what a Treasure and a Gift from God Miss Lou is, I am positive that She is a large part of the success of our culture, instilling pride, uplifting the Jamaican people through excellence, Elegance and beauty she lit the path to success by Fanning the flames of the Nation's pride, instilling a self-love. I truly believe without Miss Lou as our cultural Ambassador, the Jamaican people would have never come into their own with the confidence of Lions, for such a small country, our success and influence is enormous, thank you Miss Lou for building the foundation for the success of your people ❤️

Most of you here may not remember ZQI, it was a ham radio someone donated, 6am-9;30 or 10pm, a lady I knew & spent time with too me one day to meet a lady, that lady was LOUISE BENNETT , never forgot her, and those days performed at WARD THEATER , used to go by JOS , oh, what performances , then a man named OLIVER SMITH, I think was his name , they also showed movies there too.
Cheers 🇬🇧🇯🇲🇺🇸. Oh dear, I just member RANNY WILLIAMS, he was before Samuels.
