My name is Helen ...I AM ME, I am also handicapped and if it wasn't for riding shotgun with Mike i would never ever get to see all the different place Mike takes us...I so appreciate him...Oh and IAM Me...I Call Shotgun!!
Same here. I had to quit driving and became permanently wheelchair dependent in 2013 due to post-polio issues. I love watching videos like this as it keeps me distracted from all of my stuff, and the videos are great.
Awesome ride some people just don't understand how hard their life would be if it wasn't for hard-working truckers like yourself sir thanks again big mountain mike 10-4
been a subscriber for the last 6 months, and have watched every episode!!! I myself was a truck driver for 5 years, and my father was a trucker for over 40 years, but growing up back then, he was never home, and our father/son relationship was destroyed because of the way he was forced to drive all pilled up, running 2 logbooks, and sleep was a deal breaker!!! that's the reason I got out of driving, with the prospect of having children.. so I quit, but always loved riding shotgun!!! i look for your new episodes every time i get on the youtube, Your skill is very impressive, and am in awe of your ability to back a trailer into a blindside dock is awe inspiring!!! so keep it between the ditches, and keep on trucking!!!
Hello Mike, thanks for the beautiful ride! I watch your video"s at night when I wake up at 3am and I can not go back to sleep. It is relaxing and helps me not stress about things on my mind. I Had R. Knee replacement ten days ago. Sleeping has been a challenge. Sorry this note is long I just wanted to express my gratitude for you time. Stay safe. Mary
love watching your videos on you tube i am 84 years old my husband 2was a truck driver and he is deceased for 20 years your videos make me like i am in he truck with him again i travel with you all the time i am seeing places iwill never get to go to Be safe
Hey mike, another great ride!! It never gets old for me. I could take that ride everyday, as long as your driving!!! Keep on trucking!! Dee from chicago!!
Driving with you I have gotten to love to see the snow videos. So beautiful. You got the skills so no worries. God Bless you and your family. Safe travels. ♥️🇺🇸🤩
Westbound and down...loaded up and truckin'. We're gonna do what they say can't be done. We've got a long way to go and a short time to get there. We're Westbound, just watch ol' Mountain Man Mikey run! Great movie - one of my favorites.
Such a great stress reducer. I really needed this lovely, calm ride tonight. I'm in a battle with my landlord, who keeps breaking rules (with impunity so far...) and affordable housing is in very short supply around here. Maybe I should buy an old semi trailer & turn it into a home! LOL
I started to get a panic attack going through the tunnel !! Confined spaces!!🤢 I can't believe just a video does that to me!! Yowza!! Glad YOU were driving!!😀
I love seeing our country and what better way than with a truck driver. They go place’s I’ve never heard of before and a lot of place’s I’ve never seen. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Mountain Man Mike for this for this fantastic view of the continental divide along I-70 from Eisenhower Tunnel past Vail. This is an awesome part of the country. I'm proud to live in Colorado. PEACE!
I'm late to joining your channel, but I after watching several of your very soothing winter trucking videos in Colorado, I feel like I want to watch Cannonball Run.
MMM, you finally went visually by Exit 147 on I-70 on one of your many wonderful videos from your windshield view, that was for Eagle, CO. My wife and I spent two weeks in that town, in September of 2019, it was nice to see it again from your viewpoint, we loved visiting that area, and would like to do it again someday. Thanks for what you do, not for just trucking stuff (which I never take for granted), but also for posting these really cool videos, some places I have been to many years ago, some I have never been to. But it's nice to see them all again, and I really like your presentation. Keep up the good work, good buddy! John in Montrose, PA
Fun using google earth to find your location and follow you along, I love setting the playback speed to 2 times speed, makes for an exciting ride, lolol!
Hi. I just watched your video of I 70, where there was lots of snow and chains. Watched both videos. OMG, this was a can’t breathe, sitting on the edge of my seat video. Couldn’t even go pee. Lol. Absolutely love driving thru there. Never did it in the snow. But I would take Loveland pass when I had time just for scenery. Thank you for the video
I remember being on a greyhound bus for the first time in 1999 going westbound down this pass, the bus number was 6190. I boarded that bus in Cleveland, Ohio on my way to Los Angeles, California. It was a beautiful trip coming through these mountains.
Fun to watch. It's just like being on an otr ride along!!! It really takes nerves of Steele and the patience of ol' Job to drive these huge rigs in all types of road and weather conditions!!! Good driving!!! Thanx for sharing your truckin' videos, keep up those good safety skills even tho some of "the other guys" get sloppy! (Its a craxy" job but where'd we be without these road warriors?!)
Thanks for the great ride, Mike. Remember having to take Exit 147 (46:13 on the video) for what seemed like forever as I-70 westbound ended there. A two lane road would take you past Glenwood before it went back to four lanes. Great memories for me. Thanks again.
It took about 10 years for the Glenwood Pass deal to get finished. Hours of delays, I had forgotten what a nightmare it was. And that was when Colorado only had about 2 million people
Hi! I just wrote to MMM about Exit 147, Eagle CO. Is that where I-70 effectively ended before the final section was completed through Glenwood Canyon in 1992 or somewhere thereabouts? Please advise, I drove the old section back in 1984, but have little memory of it.
Hi Mike from uk, Thank you for showing me the wonderful scenery in usa , I am 86 yrrs and drove many miles hgv in 60s and 70s love your vids . The only driving I do know is my bmw z3 sports car hi hi . Good luck . And keep safe . Cheers
Hi Mike Its Helen, am I the only one that got a glimpse of you...You got a nice looking goatee going on there...Sorry Mike I don't miss a trick when I am riding shotgun...we all appreciate you
Sir ""MTN. MAN"" Mike !!! When you travel over US550 at Silverton ,CO.., do you see the Durango/Silverton train running along side of the road ?? Would be a great trip for You & Family in your new ""CADDY"" this spring Or Fall to see the leafs coming & going !!! Anyhows,, Enjoy your videos & waiting for MORE !!! "" KEEP IT SAFE """"!!!! Yupper !!! Losing 2.5 hrs in traffic makes it IMPOSSIBLE to catch up !!! Been there many times & have to take it for what's it worth !! 2.5 multiplies itself everyday till the end of your 70hrs total And you still will be 2.5 hrs late when you start again the next 70hrs. EXAMPLE !! If you could start at 0600 mon. then with the 2.5 hrs added then you can't start till 0830 mon.. NO way you can make it up without speeding over the limit & then """ELD"" will throw you a VIolation for speeding !!! GREAT FUN !!! IF you remember the movie ""SPACE COWBOYS "", TOMMY LEE JONES had a Hula Girl on the dash too !!!
Mike, if you were too tired to think about Saturday morning traffic to Copper Mountain, you were waaaayyyy too tired to drive! Our city has a new slogan...tired driving is as dangerous as drunk driving.
I like your videos cuz I love traveling so I like seeing places I haven't been to yet, my sister...… she likes your motor sound and uses it to sleep....go figure! Lol She says it "soothing ", Im like wth?
I would love to know what brand and model of dash cam you are using. You have such clear video with great color. Just recently found your videos. I love a good road trip and can't take one right now so you have been fulfilling that need. Especially since you're covering a lot of roads that I have taken road trips on it's so nice to see them again. I live in Idaho and especially love your video going up through White Bird and north. Thanks for putting these videos up. I really do want to know the name and model of dash cam. I've been looking for one but they all seem to have low recording time or bad visuals. I would appreciate your help. Thanks again for all you do.
The last time I was going just like you are in a truck right by those big yellow signs there was a bighorn sheep munching on the grass in the grader ditch. Keep the rubber side down. 73's
MIke very interesting when we were going through the tunnel and you mentioned the difference in temperature from one side of the tunnel to the other because of the continential divide...
@Joseph Smith I was not speaking of the length of the tunnel, Mike even pointed it out, one side with snow and the other nothing.I was speaking of what Mike said, the other side of the tunnel, the other lane of traffic..I am from the East Coast and Disabled and Never Will See The Divide...Just posting a question Joseph! Glad you found it amusing to LOL. Some can't mind their own.
Nice relaxing video Mike. Thanks. Have you ever had to use one of the “Ski Jumps” because of brake failure? I would think it would be a harrowing experience! Keep on Truckin’.
hey mike i watched a video of yours going into san diego and you put in some dave matthews good trukin music you should do that a little more often makes for good video and takes the pressure off you just a thought keep up good work be safe.
Hi Mike (ignore the line above) looks as if the traffic has dried the road to where you had no issues coming down the hill? Nevertheless it was an interesting experience and scenery was great. How’s the Caddy? Keep the videos coming we enjoy them a lot. See you next trip. Edward
I hear you talk about tires and which ones are good for bad roads. Can you talk about what you think works the best on snow and ice. Would be helpful, thank you.
Stats: 5.7 million Colorado residents; 575,000 hunting and fishing licenses/80,000 or so of which were sold to out of state residents at an elevated cost. That's pretty good.
It sounds like you have plenty of reason to 'rant'. We can hear your frustration and understand your feelings about having an important resource taken away from a pro driver. I'd nominate you for that job of Supervisor of your area! 😉
They blow a lot of snow on Golden Peak so they can make that snowboard Park.... LOL when I lived in Vail that McDonalds was called the most expensive in all the US
Being disabled and home bound. This is as real as it gets for Me. I feel great after a nice ride with you all Riding Shotgun.
My name is Helen ...I AM ME, I am also handicapped and if it wasn't for riding shotgun with Mike i would never ever get to see all the different place Mike takes us...I so appreciate him...Oh and IAM Me...I Call Shotgun!!
I am disabled and basically home bound as well. I’ve never been a trucker, but I love watching these videos seeing all the beautiful places he goes
Same here. I had to quit driving and became permanently wheelchair dependent in 2013 due to post-polio issues. I love watching videos like this as it keeps me distracted from all of my stuff, and the videos are great.

I wish I knew what model of camera and lens you have. The image stabilization is incredible, plus the video is super sharp. Great job.
When you said you were behind in time I sped up the video double time for you. Just trying to help! Thanks for the vids, Mike.
This is such a great idea. I’ve been riding with you a few hours now, dozing in and out of sleep. So relaxing! Thank you!!
Great drive. Sorry doing that run in daytime esp Saturday delayed you with that heavy traffic but gave us stunning views of the scenery.

I made the same drive on 1/22. Was one of the last vehicles over Loveland Pass before they shut it down. Those roads get gnarly quick.
You see a sign that says "BUMP" and as soon as you read it you BUMP. ROFL Thanks for the ride Mike.
I hauled steel explosives, and gasses up there when it was being built 🤠

Gotta love it when people who are slower than you have to get in front of you, then slow down to their comfortable slow speed.
Rut Row! Hope you avoid that California snow.
Thanks Mike for another great ride. Until next trip.
Thanks for the ride Mike oh, I enjoyed it.
Beautiful scenery.

Hard to realize what that tunnel has done to going over the Divide! i remember hours of knuckle busting travel over Loveland Pass before the tunnel.
Starting to enjoy your videos. Good escape from the BRT mob.
Great vids Mike 👍👍👍
I hear you talk about tires and which ones are good for bad roads. Can you talk about what you think works the best on snow and ice. Would be helpful, thank you.

Relatable with the MGMT situation
They blow a lot of snow on Golden Peak so they can make that snowboard Park.... LOL when I lived in Vail that McDonalds was called the most expensive in all the US
Mike, do the runaway truck ramps work as effectively in the winter?
MMM, have you ever come out of the mountains on RT. 15 south in PA?
Welcome to another day at the office. The guy has his own private window to the outside world.
Since it is so heavily travelled, do you think it's time to resurface large portions of I-70?
