Have had mine for 2 years. Keep it descaled and run on "gold" but I get a lot of center channeling with the cone brewing. Not getting the full flavor from the high quality coffees I brew. Anyone else having this problem?
Hi I did what you said it stopped so I fiddled with it held the button again I got it to go again then stopped so it said fill tank I got nervous so I ran it on gold as a regular cycle then cleaned it like you said ran the cycle 3 times still looks white specs in tank I don't know if I messed it up why did it stop in the middle 2 times:/
I’ve had this coffee maker for 6 years. Great coffee maker! 🙂
Good tutorial! Check out your Breville manual as well. Following the descale mode, you have to run the machine twice.
Thanks for the clear tutorial! My new Precision Brewer will be delivered on Friday.
Perfect. Thank you.❤
Thanks so much! Very helpful ❤
I used white vinegar to descale
Same here
Do you use a 1:1 ratio?

What’s the ratio of water and white vinegar do you use?
Hi, in the manual under Descaling. In step 4. It says to invert it. Is it ok to skip that?
I don’t see that on mine. I’d say you’re fine. I’m unaware of it
Yeah my manual says to invert also. What the hell does that mean? The descaling instructions in the manual are terrible.
@@Suiken44 yea I tried inverting mine. It just emptied more water out. I suppose it doesn't matter if you invert it or not.
After I descaled, sometimes my scale light does not go off. How do I get the the descale light to go off after descaling the coffee maker cycle
Thank you! Super helpful.
Thanks Jody! 🙃

Thanks for the video!
Could I use puro espresso machine cleaning powder on this breville machine ?

how often do you need to descale? Also do you make the solution yourself or is it something that Breville has available?
I’m not too sure how many hours but it lets me know when I need to descale it. It turns red I believe
I think its every few months
Vinegar is a normal descaling agent… it’s dirt cheap so dont expect companies to suggest it if they’re trying to sell you ‘descaling kits’
My machine is still displaying DESCALE. How do I get it off descale?
Have you tired unplugging it?
Are you to leave the shower head in place during this process?
Thank you!
