Cool fun technique! Your link shows deli paper as waxed paper. I had always assumed it was parchment paper. Thanks for the inspiration. TFS Hugs Kristina
those are some pretty deli papers. i heard somewhere that not only can you use a spray fixative, which i'm sure is expensive - but you can use AquaNet hairspray (aerosol not pump) from the Dollar Store - i just have not tried that yet : ) TFS
I was so excited to try this, but the paint and water just beaded up....so I watched your video again to see if I missed anything, and still,, no luck. I am using restaurant deli sheets, is there something different I should be using?
no, its a bit different. Deli paper is the paper you would typically see at a deli...like when they cut your sandwich meats and they put that piece of thin tissue-like paper around it.... thats deli paper. Its stronger than tissue and might have a small amount of wax in it but not nearly as much as wax paper. Its great for using on a gelli plate because its thin but strong. You can get it on amazon.
i just love that paper -thanks for sharing Stacy -brilliant xxx

its a lightly waxed paper, not as waxy as actual wax paper though and not exactly like parchment which is thicker.
This is great to know! I have these watercolors and am just now learning ways to use them....I like how they have very big wells of color.
Thanks for that!
So cool, love this, tfs Stacy
oo cool look
Great video! Do you have a video on making the spray? What was it made from? Thanks for sharing!💜🤗
I just stick plain white tissue paper to coloured surfaces instead of painting them. It gives a wrinkly effect and the colour shows through.
the deli paper is just a wrinkly :)

So if I wanted, I could use the stuff Subway wraps my sandwich with and get it for "free" or "upcycled"?
lol yeah and you'd get the added grease lol
Another cool idea. But is deli paper the same as parchment paper?
no deli paper is much thinner than parchment
Where do you find deli paper?
I have never heard of deli paper where do I find it.........

Hmm...not sure, maybe the sheets youre using have too much wax on them? I would try getting deli paper from amazon or you can get it at costco too.
what side are you painting on--wax?
Does the DECO ARTS sealer have a strong oder? i have asthma and chemical sensitivies.

What is the brown paper you're using under the deli paper?
It's a non-stick craft sheet - rangerink.com/?product=non-stick-craft-sheet%E2%84%A2
