For Kona Nui Nights, all the performers are asked to say something about the song or hula they are going to do. Itʻs to give the audience, often people not from Hawaiʻi or familiar with the music and entertainers, some background and understanding of the performance. It's so much better than just listening to the music or watching a hula without any intro. And in a group situation, you also get to see the artists' personalities as they interact. I love it, too!
