Had Monaito told the truth about Elec, the Heeters and Granolah's mother, many other things could've stopped the bounty hunter relying on the Dragonballs to become stronger. Granolah meeting Goku and the Dragon Team before Dragonball Super is a game changer. A lot of things will be affected.

Especially since he can easily dispatch many 73s pre wish. If we turn back time, he would probably be right below vegeta or equal to goku through the story. Or I actually think that he would outclass both the Saiyans by a large margin because he got to his level with no godly training

Masako was ripping on Bardock a lot during the Granolah arc, but he's definitely changed his tune after adding his own writing touches.
One of our methods that we use to make stuff for the channel is to take the characters we do not particularly like and make something cool with them. It's a cool creative excercise! ;) That and I really wanted to pen a manga-specific What If for the channel! :)

It'll be cool to see Granola, Goku and Vegeta interacting early, as well as Goku learning about his father early too. I'm curious to see how you approach that in this story since the circumstances are different from the HFIL one.
I'm looking forward to this one! Granolah is a character who really needed more fleshing out and better development as he had a really cool introduction.
Really loving this story! The story of Ganolah, Monaito and Oatmeel is a really compelling one that deserves being explored in-depth. I don't think I've cared this much over any Super characters since Beerus and Whis.

At first I thought this was going to be a April Fools what if of sorts, but genuinely surprised me.... making me wish Granolah had THIS KIND OF CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT

@@Call_Me_Kaleb it's possible. His durability or magic ability is provally greater than an average when it comes to that. If every namekian could have kids they might have more. So I don't think they all can

Oh cool. So some interactions with Vegeta and the Son family plus Granolah seeing Earth should be cool. It'll be fun to see what happens with the Android saga, Granolah will likely be a great help against them and Cell. Feels like he might like Gohan too

I wasn't expecting to be excited for this but after watching the vid I can't wait
What if Bulma and Dr. Gero were allies. My pitch: Bulma learned of Dr. Geros research before Dragonball and was fascinated by it. Capsules are all well and good but dude was making life. She knew he didnt want the limitations of actually defecting so she agreed to work as his apprentice. In his private lab away from the Red Ribbon Army she wasn't working for them but him specifically. And essentially Bulma gathering the dragon balls wasn't for a boyfriend or for strawberries but for Science! She softens Gero but Gero hardens her. And she becomes essentially Canon Gero and Gero becomes Jasper's Gero aka a bit cantankerous but well meaning.
Hm? 🤔 So it seems like this is taking place during the Android Saga area. If so it would be interesting to see Granolah helping out against the Android threat on Earth. Ah man Granolah will be in for a surprise with meeting Saiyans of Earth him meeting Goku and Gohan two completely different Sayians then what he's use too seeing and hearing about compared to meeting Vegeta. Anyways another really good start to this new series, and looking forward to the next part soon.

Now, this video (and concept in general, really) is super interesting. Personally, it's partially because I really like when modern Dragon Ball is thought of as a lore point to use when thinking about previous material, like OG Dragon Ball and Z.

Interesting, I look forward to Granolah's reaction when he learns who his target really is. Also, you made a tiny mistake there - the three year time jump happened AFTER Frieza and Cold bit it, not before, though it is likely most of a single year had passed at that point since Namek had its little bout of explosions.
Now that is a bitter pill to swallow.
