Haven't played jack since the game came out, but if I remember correctly, you could arc that glove beam and stop its movement from the side also.
Yeah, also going to comment on that. The only direction you can stop the monster from going is away from you.
This is arguably the best team of hunters
If only Jack wasn't Jack. Couldn't Jackal be a silent hunter type in his persona? xD
But amazing plays, especially in the caves with the Repulsor, wow.
That being said you actually don't use the Repulsor gloves to their full potential. Maybe you forget? If you aim the beam to the said so it arcs towards the monster, you stop it from moving to that direction.
You can thus stop monster from going towards you, to either left or right. Or also from going up -> possible to ground Kraken.
Several times you were trying to get in front of the monster and were hit and unable to use the Repulsor.
Also nice is that while Griffin needs to be on the ground for his harpoon to work, Jack can even fly an use his Repulsor just fine :)

OOHHHH Monster here Comes JACKY!!!! XD Jack was always the quirky Trapper most annoing was the bend of his push ability if he was good he could stop a monster from Fleeing

I just noticed Jack's pistols despite being some sort of future age space plasm tech thing still makes the sound of a revolving cylinder on a revolver when reloading. idk if this is intentional but seemed pretty odd to me lol
