Love the content - Big fan of WBN (all flankers) and was looking for a great clone of it, because I refuse to pay 100+ for something that we all know costs around 10$ to produce (including the bottle)... It's not inflation that drives the price up, it's an easy equation. Demand x corporate profit margins = price increase. You will see it at a lower level for the ME colognes, but it still exists. Perfume companies and retailers/discounters will try to make as much profit per dollar spent- that's their job, after all. So I pretty much stick exclusively to the ME dupes/clones/inspired by. I like smelling good, but I hate paying ridiculous amounts for alcohol and oil.
What about Ansam Silver? That one is supposedly a hybrid of wanted by night and most wanted. Also heard it's beast mode. I'm probably going to get it when it becomes fall.
Wanted By Night is a masterpiece from Azzaro and it's kinda weird that Fragbar has a clone and not Dua I have Fragbar's version and I'm going to get their version of Oceania to compare with my Asten Aquamira which I love
Grape Soda? Really? In that case, I'd love to sample it. Have you ever sampled Prada Luna Rossa Ocean? On my skin, it smells just like blueberry bubblegum. 😊
I kind of thought the usual suspects (Armaf, etc.) never cloned it because it did not meet the price threshold to justify cloning. As I recall WBN came out about 5-6 years ago, anyone else recall buying it for about half the price it's selling for today? I still have a 1.7 / 50 ml I paid under $30 - but seeing today's prices, I can understand a good clone can make sense.
I'm wondering if Azzaro just was able to create a designer masterpiece which is really hard to copy because for The Dua Brand to not have created a dupe of it but have one for Nautica Voyage makes one wonder
