Oh … and I really, really love these tutorials that are available for free on RUclips that I can share with those I know paint but may not be in a position yet to buy a class. I feel like it is a great intro to you and also such a wonderful addition for anyone like me that also has purchased so many of your amazing classes and want to do more outside the classes. Plus it is like a visit with you in your studio and I love that!! ♥️
I’ve listened to the podcast episodes for the second…..or maybe third time. I don’t have any ideas for episodes but love ideas on finding inspiration. I also really found the episode about just starting so beneficial. After taking the sketching class (which I loved!) I’ve started a mostly daily sketching practice. I had a hard time knowing what to do with a blank page and that class, and the daily practice is really helping. So maybe expanding on that previous episode? I loved all the episodes and found them really helpful so looking forward to more ❤️
Oh my gosh, so glad Deborah! I'm inspired now to record more. Enjoy exploring and experimenting! ❤
Could you demo how you make your own watercolor sketchbooks?? I’d love to make my own. I use a lot of watercolor paper testing colors and combinations and drawings. Making my own would really make me feel independent! ❤
I teach a few different ways in my watercolor classes. Hopefully you can join a class one day!
Yes!! More please! Your teaching style is so relaxed and simple. I feel confident following your instruction
👍 agree
Thank you so much Melanie!
Love your handmade sketch book
Thank you!
I love sketchbooks or watercolour journals! I've done "Sketching for watercolour" course and now doing "Creative freedom in sketchbook". I like this video too. I love the colour of Rose matter! I should play around in journals, that way I can improve my painting skills. I like your way of teaching which is very effective as well as enjoyable.
Thanks for sharing!!
I love these tutorials they are so helpful for me as a beginner artist. Thku Nicki.
So glad Ruth!!
Yes love the sketch book your style and personality.
Do you have a video showing how you make your sketch book ?
Thank you! I do show a few different ones in a few of my classes. I'm also recording a new class where we use a hand made book for our watercolor practice!
Yes, can you show how to make your sketch books?
Love your ideas...I just started watercolor first of yr. Thank you for your help ..blessings
Enjoy your practice!
I’m watching through RUclips and I want to learn as much and all that I can
RUclips is great for sound tips, but I hope you do invest in a class or a book to help you with foundational techniques and approaches too! Have fun exploring!
Love this! Please show more of these types of tutorials! It’s just what I need :)
What a great idea for making your own watercolor sketchbook! I would love to see how you make them!
I teach a few different types in my last few sketchbook classes!
Great video!!! Thank you! Your tutorials and courses have been a source of inspiration and guidance for me. As one of my favorite artists, you have had an incredible impact on my artistic growth. I can't wait for your next course!!!!❤
Thank you soooo much! ❤
Thank you Nicki. I really love these tutorials. I have started to schetch more before I paint. And I find that it gives me more confedence when I paint.
Fabulous thanks
I love each of the current Podcasts and can see going back to listen again and again and finding new gems. I will try to think of what suggestions for future episodes I may have. At the moment, I feel like with all your experience in life - whatever you decide to do a podcast on, I will appreciate and learn from. Thank you! Any suggestions on how to keep balance between art work and family life raising a family (I homeschool 3 still currently). Thanks :)
(Maybe that could be one)💕🤗
Love this!! Thank you so much! Do you have a video on how you make your sketch books? Thank you!
Thank you Marianne, I teach a few variations throughout my Watercolors Made Simple class and sketchbook classes. I hope you join me in a class one day!
Do you have a video on how you make your sketchbooks? Thanks. Great video.

Sunflowers!

How long is the advanced class? How many hours?
Urban sketching..buildings and streets
I can't imagine the books destroyed to make these. It's a shame to see a book torn apart really.
I like to think of it as saving books from being recycled or ending up in a dump. Especially the ones that are falling apart and damaged. :)
