Disneyland Reopening Day Pt. 1 | Joy and Magic on Main Street

- Friday marked the official reopening day of Disneyland for all guests. Not a soft opening. Not a cast member preview. Disneyland is open to all guests today! In this episode we'll be soaking in all of the joy and magic on Main Street as the first guests are greeted by cast members. It was an amazing hour and we'll have a longer acoustic coming later of some of that experience. Then we'll ride the Disneyland Railroad and the omnibus before relaxing with a churro on the Rivers of America. Stay tuned tomorrow for more from this day as we're joined by a special guest for more rides and more Disney magic!

Cast members proving yet again why Disneyland is just an amusement park without them. They truly make it the happiest place on Earth.
Now that we are getting back to normal I hope people really appreciate the little things in life that we have missed out on. Not just Disney but everything
they won't, but it's a nice thought. lol
I cried the other day when my kids went back to dance class for the first time in over a year. It was everything to see them so happy. I for one have definitely learned to take nothing for granted. Life is about experiences and the people you get to share them with.

When that first cast member on Main Street said “welcome home” I really started sobbing

I got tears watching this, and a special prayer for everyone we lost to Covid and all the families that lost a loved one.
I’m not even there in person and the cast members lining Main Street saying welcome back is making me sob!
The cast members welcoming everyone in is seriously so magical 😭 major props to all those amazing CMs!

My first day back was today! And i was like all cool walking in..thinking this is nice...then a few steps in i saw bubbles and heard sayings like ...welcome back.. welcome home... we missed you!! 😭😭😭 then the tears started flowing in me!!! So magical and beautiful!! Only Disney can do give this to us!! 🥰 I Love you Disney and Thank You!

The walk down Main Street, with all of the cast members waving, really caught me off guard emotionally. I’m so glad you were there and that we get to experience it vicariously. Thanks for this.

watching the walk down main street gave me goosebumps and tear up!! BEAUTIFUL!!!! Such a wonderful experience! I can't wait to go back in a few weeks with my kids. The hope of going back to Disneyland has been one of the things keeping me going through this devastating year.

You have an amazing gift David for connecting through the camera to all of us. Thank you for your honest emotions. And somehow you put into words and express exactly how I am sure alot of us feel when we go back to the parks. When John Hench was asked, “What does Disneyland represent?”, his answer was “Reassurance”.
That has never been more true than today. Disneyland re-opening is explicitly and implicitly a major milestone in getting the world back to normal. Even people who have never been to the park know what this means, even if it’s just on a sub-conscious level. Disneyland is only about good things, and after a year of hell, it is sorely needed.
David- I thoroughly enjoyed just taking in the sights and sounds of Disneyland while you ate your churro and sipped on your Sprite. Thank you- thank you for sharing this moment with us.

When I heard the whistle of the mark twain I broke down you eating a churro I thought you were going to break down to when you put your head down but man it just got me and I freaking began to cry 😭 like a baby🥲. never will I take it for granted again is what you said. I have sat in that spot so many times throughout my life to go to Tom Sawyer‘s island it’s so reminds me of my childhood and the days of old. and boy do I agree with that!! No one does it like fresh baked!!

Pure magic. You're absolutely spot on David. Waiting in a line is all part of the experience ( for me anyway ) and having it all taken away really makes you appreciate even the most mundane parts of the park visit. Never to be taken for granted again. Roll on next August when we get back 😍👍🏽

My family and only ever get to go to the park once every few years anyway so a year without Disneyland is typical. To me the park reopening is monumental because it feels like the beginning of the end of the chaos and devastation of the last year. It’s a glimmer of hope that things will get back to normal and a reminder to never take anything for granted.
Loved this video David. I'm so happy for you! There are things happening in my country that make me fear that I won't ever be able to go to Disneyland again. I hope that isn't the case. I've been sitting here bawling, watching this episode. Partially because I'm happy for you and partially because I'm scared for me that I won't be able to go again. I love Disneyland.. this is not about a RUclips channel this is about all the incredible hard working Disney cast members living in overpriced California and working so hard to bring us a magical experience. Remember, this is not a land. This is a place created by thousands of real people who toil every day to make Disneyland happen.

I went to Disneyland in july. Had lots going on at home and it was getting old we took a break from it and me and my dad went to Disneyland. It was my first time back after 3 years. And my day already felt full before i even got into the parks! I could not believe what i was seeing. I was literally at Disneyland! I was able to ride everything except space mountain and Matterhorn. And we were only there 1 day. We made great timing
Can't wait to go !! I know I live on the other side of the world but one day I'll get their !! Because it's on my list
