Lube it up, Ream the hole, then pull out....good advice for more than just tires
Get everything ready before you remove the screw
I have used them 4 different times and they lasted the life of the tyre. Never had one fail on my R1.
You mean the rope plug thingie became the permanent repair? :D
I did 4000 miles with a repair no problems.
Nothing is more permanent than a temporary solution
@@Premises187 lmao the camp of the get a "new tire, it's not worth your life" and the just plug it and go" camp are like the democrats and Republicans. You just don't know who to believe lol
I have done more miles on plugged tires than on non plugged tires, and that includes twisties and top speed runs on my fireblade. I have 100% faith in properly placed plugs, it might become a problem when people try to plug to big a hole or don't go deep enough. But a well placed plug ain't comming lose.
I do this every bloody week on my machines (I’ve got earthmoving equipment), have to say don’t put lube onto the cord only onto the reemer tool and they should of given special cement to put onto the cord. When you insert the cord always turn it clockwise once or even twice to twist the inside and then pull it out making it harder for the cord to ever come loose
It's a great suggestion to twist the plug when it's inserted!
Props to you guys for not editing the video to show that one canister would do the job. Respect!
I've had it 3 times, 2 times for the motorcycle and 1 time for the car, both times drove until the tires were worn, so it is a permanent solution in my eyes
Always have everything ready and to hand before removing the object.
I recommend putting a twist-valve or something between the CO2 canister and valve stem
I have plugged heavy truck tires. Always let all the air out first. at 110 PSI The plugs never held up very well. I always put a tire patch on the inside of the tire and the plug just kept debris from getting into the injury hole , Nice Kit they do make portable air pumps too.
You sound so dumb. Go ahead and debead this tire on the side of the road and try to air it back up. If this is all you have to work with, this is how you'd do it. These tires don't have 110 psi anyways. And by the way at Les Schwab guess what I do, and everyone else.... We do a patch from the inside of the tire. Wanna know why? Because we have the machines to preform a proper patch this is for road side temp fix. You're comment is so fucking dumb
Ok, thanks for the video. I did repair a car tire with it . A screw punched in it. It worked out fine. Now I'll take it on my vespa in case of :)😀
During the process you lost more air for not being ready 1st get your plug ready then rough the hole 2nd the canister and the hose
would be better to use a decent co2 inflation nozzle instead of that horrible hose
You guys are awesome. Seeing it done is so much easier to understand than reading. . Thanks again.
If you carry this kit on your bike like I do, check the glue tube every few months as the glue goes hard in the tube from heat. You can buy glue from auto stores.
Really clear and well illustrated, great job guys
Wish I had found this 10 days ago before I got a flat.... but now I'll be prepared for the next one.
I have this kit one co2 canister will pressurized to
32 PSI once expanded the instructions say to put the canister on the hose first then the tire stem
Thanks for the demo; certainly easier than trying to decipher the instructions provided.
In a 17" front tire it will take about 4 cannisters to reach 20 psi on a completely flat tire. Rear will be more and bigger tires will of course be more. On my dual sport DR650 I carry 4 cannisters for tube replacement off road. This will give me about 20 lbs in either tire. For my HD with big 16" tires I carry 7. If you lose the bead to rim bond on a tubeless tire don't expect this system to pop the bead.
Thanks for the great video! It's much better to learn how to plug a tire on the big screen at home than on the road. What do you suggest for tube tires? Thank you 🇺🇸
Thank you chief, very well presented, appreciate it ❤👍🙏
Be carefull if you trim too close to teh tire, the plug could get inside the wheel. When you are on the road, and want to keep going patience to let it dry es crucial, maybe taking some pictures help to that dead time... best regards from Buenos Aires.
Not sure what size the CO2 canisters are that come with that kit but you can get them in 12 16 or even 25 grams. Three 25 gram cylinders will inflate a 180 Tire to about 30 PSI. And these cylinders are not much bigger than your standard 16 gram.
Thank you very much 4 this great tip about 25 gram co2 canisters DIYmotorcycle! I have searched the web everywhere for this kind of information. Every supplier of co2 cartridges only lists the number of grams, but not the amount of psi / bar or volume....... :(. Now I know :).
Cut the music! Useful tip about not letting the tyre deflate totally. Thumbs up!
Thanks ! followed this and worked great for me. Rear tyre with 1500 miles on it.
I always carry a small foot pump with me 😊
I just carry a car plug kit and a can of fix a flat the can with the hose on it (Wal Mart ) about $8.00 dollars total works every time
Need: an air hose with a valve for not losing air.
Pocket Knife???
Good show 👏
Brand new tire with less than a couple hundred miles on it. Plugged it, rode it for the life of the tire.
Steven S. that's what I needed to hear ! lol-
Steven
Man..lol I needed to hear this hahaha I don’t want to get new pirellis. I have to so much tread left on them
Not Smart!
@@sw00pable Why? Explain yourself with proof.
Simplest and cheapest is using a small manual bycycle air with adapter on cars. Bikes yaa maybe but mini electric pumps too are worth buying.
Nailed it.
Thanks for this! Planning my first trip to Europe by motorcycle and was wondering how it worked! Bernie in sydney
How’d the trip go? That’d be amazing. I’m in Sydney too!
Many thanks for the demo :-) Biker greetings from France.
a small bicycle hand pump will do a better job for air replacement.
i fixed the rear tier of my buell ulyssess xb12x with the plug, drove, on a flat tire 4 half a mile in 1st & 2nd gear , inflated the tire (1/4) $, it worked nice, got both pirelli diablo.
RUBBER DOWN...
Excellent tutorial - pick up a nail - 8 minutes max and on the road!!
I've been doing this for 20 plus years fix flats right on the car but I have an air compressor that plugs into the lighter port on the dashboard.
This is a motorcycle tire😂
Fix is ok , i have use them for years not one never ever fail , but the air part is junk , what u need is an air pump12volt
We can use that 1 strip split into half and can be use into 2 holes
Very nice and informative video.....just tell me two things, what was the need to take out the tyre from the car? And can these plugs come out if the car runs at high speed or a long distance?
This is a motorcycle tire, was originally removed because we changed wheels/tires. Its a good idea to replace your tire as soon as you can.
TBH the canisters seem a bit rubbish to me. If your tyre flat, they don’t have enough gas to pump the tyre adequately. I carry a basic bicycle pump to make sure. It takes a bit of elbow grease, but it’s gets the job done.
A must have on a trip
I highly recommend finding a shade for tyre repair 😂😂😂
I always put the few €s more and get my new tyres treated anti-flat.
It is a kind of foam that pops up from the inside when you pick the nail out and seal the hole.
You can ride to up to five nails on a tyre.
Plus the tyre loses less pressure with temperature changes.
And it also plays havoc with your tyre pressure sensor.
Great for tire wall, temp repairs, where A new tire is required after fix, but for a nail or screw in tread the pocket plunger ie: ( mushroom plug) is best no need for new tire after fix, I now carry both types of repair kit , I don't have deep pockets so dread ever having to use this one, only in a life threatening situation,
well done video...thanks for the effort!
I Use that tire repair kit except the CO2 air
instead of using the CO2 I bought a Tire sealant Inflator work better. Sealed inside and the outside
Shouldn't you wait a little while after plugging and before adding air so the plug can set?
Bro I just actually tapped his video and this is what I see a man hammering a nail in a tire
I’m cross eyed myself, respect bro.
Good Bro ! I understand all process. Thnks and I hope that problem no happen to me in street.
What PSI are those CO2 cartridges? Great job on the demo. Thank you.
Cool Kit 🥶
Hi and hello to all the respected viewers ,
I can fix this tubeless tire puncture in less than 10 seconds , love and respect from India....
Gotta buy the 25gr canisters, and a inflator w valve
Nice video man! Thanks for the upload
In Iraq we keep riding on it for another tow years lol
Your very slow....I can change it in two minutes
Looks nice. Sadly, illegal to use for any vehicle in Denmark besides mopeds (speed limit 30 km/h). Here, a tyre must be fixed, even temporarily, by taking it off the rim and do it from the inside. What you may use is the kind of foam that you spray through the valve.
Do you allways do what government tell you to do?
Really nailed that intro
we see what you did there..... :)
Well explain sir
You can explain to 4 way tyre car
Surely the best thing is to carry two or three more Co2 canisters as spares with your kit
Good demonstration but you need to use a quality gauge do not use that unreliable type youhave
Thanks for the tips

Very helpful, thanks 👍🏼
Why not add a tool to the kit to remove the nail ?
Excelente video, gracias desde Costa Rica
Is good for scooter 50cc ?? Because it co2 good enough for small tire
Good job. You simplified the process. Thanks for uploading the video. What is the name of canister you used and where I can see buy.
Very good presentation. Thks from Scandinavia
I am riding a plugged tyre now for about 1000 miles, the tyre was pretty much new when I had a rupture. It was fixed like this, and still holds, it's even hardly visible. As soon as the plug is vulcanised, it is as firm as the original rubber, no?
Thank you for your video. It has help me
Excellent vid, well done
Looks like a chap who has never done this before.
Can this repair kit fit the tire rim with spoke?
Thanks for this
Why would you apply the rubber solution to the reamer while doing the initial reaming?
Helps lube it up for easy insertion.... gigity.
how do u close one eye when u do the hmmmph?!
Great upload good job cheers
Fery usefull🙌
Very nice demo!
Thanks, I learned a lot.
Is this a temporary fix? Which means I have to go to puncture shop to get a permanent one.
If so what is the difference between this fix and the permanent one they would use at the puncture shop. Thanks
emmanuel joseph for motorcycle tires we would always recommend replacing a punctured tire as soon as possible, the repair kit is ideal for getting you down the road when you would otherwise be stranded. We wouldn't consider any puncture repair on a motorcycle tire to be a permanent fix. That said, some tire shops may use a mushroom plug that would need to be inserted from inside the tire - not externally and not ideal for installing if you are stranded on the side of the road. Always look to replace your tire as soon as possible when a puncture is repaired, for automobiles it would be more acceptable to run a punctured tire since a failure would be less catastrophic.
J&P Cycles thanks alot, much appreciated.
+emmanuel joseph i have used this method for a long time and it is a permanent fix, not worries about it except if you get a puncture on any side of the tyre wall, in that case you have to replace your tyre for a new one
the key of this method to be permanent is first you have to clean the area of the puncture and second the plug cannot contaminated with dirt and cannot be so old not more than 2 years old also the glue must be totally fresh not old glue or kind of dry glue. Once you have opened a new tube of glue, you cannot use it again because after some months of storage that glue will be dry and when you are in a emergency case, and open again that little tube that you have used once and you realize it is dry, then you are in trouble, hehe...
emmanuel joseph yuj
The shop can use the VULCANIZING method.
No fuss, very informative. Nice work
great job
Matur suwon mr.😁😁 penjelasane.🖒🖒🖒
on a bike tire. dont run the plug, if you get a nail jn a car tire. you can rjn the plug till the cords are showing on the tire
What do you mean - don't run the plug' ?
Esos tubos son muy buenos pero lo mejor un mini compresor portátil.
You call that a pocket knife. Who do you play with? JAWS? Where I live carrying that Knife on your bike will put you directly in a cell.
Nice kit, I like these for both bikes and cars.
Buena amigo désde chile
Un abrazo cariñoso
Me gustaría que ustedes
Los en señara en castellano
Por favor gracias amigo mío cómo cienpre un saludo grande humilde y muy sabio PARA ustedes
Those kits work great
Excellent demonstration. Thanks!!!
So basically u put one canister in, and when u are trying to put the next one u lose the air u already put in there, flaw in the design, that could had been prevented with a very simple bypass ball valve
Tattoo on ur hand is really beautifull
Obviously his first time doing this
Do you know type of glue is that? I’ve lost ist and I do not want to buy whole kit. Is that chemopren glue ? Thank you.
Great video. Thanks.
To all who give thumb down, where are your respect to another people that already gave you an information.
Thanks for this information.
Keep doing man, Jesus Christ bless you.
very nice job
