Thank you for your help. I didn't know the difference between PPIs and H2 blockers. I suffer from GERD and PPIs make my GERD much worse. The GI doctor asked me to try Famotadine (H2) 40mg twice a day and it is working! People, try H2 blockers first.

I been on PPI's for 20 years now. I'm 54 and I been diagnosed with Osteoarthritis recently. Every morning when I wake up, all my joints hurt. The joints that hurt the most is my fingers, thumbs, and knees. I have GERD really bad. I will have to switch to Pepcid. Hopefully I can reverse the OA. I didn't know being on this med for a long time would cause me having really bad joint pain. Thank you for the video!

Thank you for this video as I take a prescription strength pantoprazole (which is generic for protonix) which is PPI. However the last few months before I go to bed I take Pepcid AC. I was waking up in the middle of the night vomiting bile every few hours and my doctor recommended me taking Pepcid AC before I go to bed to help with the acid production of what is waking me up at night and making me sick. I may ask my doctor if I should switch to the Prilosec instead of Pepcid AC. I don't get heartburn I just wake up and start vomiting a bunch of bile.

I've had symptoms of the flu in the side effects since Halloween 2023 it is now November 17th 2023 and I went to the ER yesterday for stomach and intestinal pain.
Before that I was put on prilosec and pepcid together... One time a day for 1 and 2 times a day for the other.
The ER has kept me on those 2 and has added Zolfran to the mix.
I will take Zofran but I'm hesitant about taking the other 2.

If you have heartburn it’s because you don’t have enough acid in your stomach to deal with whatever you ate and you know what I mean like fried food, etc. just take a teaspoon or table spoon of apple cider vinegar in a few ounces of water and it will go away without damaging your already upset stomach! Swish out your mouth with some water after so the vinegar does not erode your tooth enamel. Thanks to all the you tube drs that describe this remedy!

I take a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar once or twice a day and voila...cured my chronic daily heartburn of years immediately...treat the cause and not the symptom. Apparently as you get older your body starts producing less stomach acid and the valve (lower esophageal sphincter) relaxes and causes the issue, if you decrease the pH (increase the acidity) by consuming some vinegar the valve closes and no more problem...the problem with modern health care is exactly this video...why do you have acid reflux in the first place? 🤔

  • @MinionTomato1

I would never touch this products ever again. I had the occasional heartburn and I took Pepcid. It lowered my stomach acid, which increased bacteria to go up into my small intestine and now I’m stuck with Sibo.

Yeah the only thing is that sodium bicarbonate (for me atleast) only helps in the moment as sodium bicarbonate is a base it doesnt seem to do anything to reduce the amount of acid being produced just neutralizes the acid that has already been produced providing symptom relief for maybe an hour or two.
