I love RTC products! The razor has been one of my go to blades for a long time. And Pearl's P4 and P5 blades. I am testing out some different turbo mesh grinder wheels at the moment. Blade technology has come so far over the past 10 years! Thanks for the Video I appreciate it! 👍
Landberg, I absolutely love your reviews homes!!! Very informative, very professional, and we'll thought out. I mean you break it down step by step. Until the next one, your bro., from the other Coast, Dirty Jersey out!!
I agree and do that (esp when cutting toilet flanges) and usually always finish the cut from the other end cuz vibrations will break it 99% of the time lmao
Love the reviews of real use tool's! One critique though on your method of grinder use, flip it over and you'll have alot less tile flying in your face 👓 or not. Also I've subscribed to the pearl p4 4½ only pretty much.
Never tried their blades for grinders but I have used their core bit (hole saws) and love them....very clean cuts. However, I bought the razor t3 for my dewalt wetsaw....not impressed! Thanks for another great video brother, you do a good job of educating others!
Sponsored equals receiving money to upload and talk great on all points of the product. I have companies send me free stuff all the time. I test them, and make a video review if I like the product. In this video, I clearly talked bad on the glass blade. No company tells me what to say in my video's, I can assure you.
you ever try cutting nanoglass? a customer brought back a 72x6 in white marble sill , at least i thought it was and it took me forever to rip. i couldn't understand what was happening as it took me like a half to rip it to 5 inches . i tried mt 2 best diamond blades and neither could really cut it wet or dry. come to find out it was from floor and decor and it was nanoglass... so after cutting i had a 1 inch x 70 in ripper left over and i couldnt even break it over my knees....kind of looks like marble but not really, kind of pure white . after reading more about it i should of used an aggressive segmented thick chunky blade....
Good vid! Hate trial and error on products! PS there is a great promo on Ridgid tools now. Buy a 6ah/3ah Octane batt combo kit with charger for 179 (a steal by itself with lifetime warr not just the normal 3yr with batteries) and get a free Octane tool. Might make for a good review of the octane grinder on the budget friendly side. I would like to get the cordless grinder to stay in the ridgid platform I have now.
Question? I have tub shower wrap around tile that runs almost to the ceiling in our guest restroom. My wife is wanting me (if possible) to trim approximately 1-3/4 off top of installed shower tile, for planning a trim like crown around the top of the shower tile which the trim and wall grout line will join trim/casing at top of shower wall. My fear is trying to cut free-handed with a hand grinder and it not look like a drunk person cut it! You all make it look so easy free-handed making a straight cut on tile. Any tricks or technique, tools (i.e. blade types), method, etc. would be greatly appreciated to be able to accomplish via freehand ! I I may be asking way too much! Thanks! anyways!
Love to see you cut with guards in place my friend if one of those blades shattered you could lose an eye or worse, they say angle grinders are one of the most dangerous Power tools, having seen some of the injuries caused by misuse and misfortune I'd have to agree. Hard to cut anything when you've only one eye I imagine. Other than my concern for your safety your demonstrations were highly informative.
@@LandbergTileTV i've been cutting tile for 25 years without a shield, never once had a problem, if your afraid just wear safety glasses. You can see with the guard on
Those off brand batteries were sent to me a couple weeks ago. I've been beating them up and I'll put up a video on them this weekend. So far so good, other than the SLOW charge time. They are 4Ah for $40...
I notice you cut with the dust going towards you, I've always cut with the dust away from me. Is there a correct way? Also how good are the grinders with batteries vs power cable ones? I've also seen that the cable ones have more rpms. Good review btw
Have you gotten your hands on the flexvolt grinder? The thing is a beast! I'm rocking the p4 turbo mesh blade on my grinders and like it a lot. But that shield looks dam good.
@@LandbergTileTV it's super well balanced with the new batteries. I think you can do the same thing on the xr grinder, but unscrew the 4 screws at the head and rotate it in the gearbox for better grinding position. But yeah, it literally never bogs down and has some amazing runtime.
Am I being over cautious or it is perfectly ok? 1. Grinder guard was removed risk cutting fingers 2. Not clamping the work piece risk grinder sliding off 3. Holding the grinder with one hand risk grinder kicking back 4. Debris flying towards yourself because the grinder should be traveling in the opposite direction 5. Breathing in dust due to not wearing a mask
its very hard to cut your fingers with a diamond blade. I have already touched the blade and at most it will burn you. don't use a guard just use glasses or else you cant see the cut properly. If you did all of the above stated, it would take you 3 times as long and you wouldn't make any money
keystone freebord crew Ah...great reply. I was not able to see the cut because of the guard. I shall remove the guard and use safety glasses and maybe gloves. Thanks.
blades are for sissies, I've been doing this for 25 years and never had a problem. when the guard is on you cant see your cuts proper. just wear glasses or a face sheild if your worried.

Yes sir, the razor is a great blade! We love Pearl also 👊
I have a P4 on my grinder but my next blade will be the shied turbo. That blade looks indestructible. Great review.

I love the honest reviews, even though they sent you the items you still tell it as it is. Great video
Place you tile on a two inch thick piece of styrofoam when cutting to prevent breakage at end of cut
awesome tip man, thanks!
I agree and do that (esp when cutting toilet flanges) and usually always finish the cut from the other end cuz vibrations will break it 99% of the time lmao
Yes good idea. I always use cardboard from the box to set tile on
Kerdi board works awesome

Good info. Missed seeing your super cool mask, glad you had a nice breeze
great video! but we wonder if there are some blades that can cut tiles really clean and no plus use of the dimond polish pad for finish ?? thx
I bought that same glass blade, I think you need water to get the best result. Awesome videos bro, Aloha from Maui!
Thanks for the watch brother!

Insert requisite comment about lack of a blade guard. You’ve got nothing to really get in the way of the cut or obstruct the sight line. 👍

Is the machine strong enough for cutting Quartz and agates? Hardness 7.5 stones
Is there a reason why you cut backwards?

Unbelievable....no matter how skilled and articulate you are....someone will always find fault. Safety concerns on the other hand should be addressed.
How do you cut through the tile with out chiping it up ?
I notice you cut with the dust going towards you, I've always cut with the dust away from me. Is there a correct way? Also how good are the grinders with batteries vs power cable ones? I've also seen that the cable ones have more rpms. Good review btw
Simple solution... flip the blade and cut in opposite direction.
Whats the difference between wet diamond blade, turbo diamond blade, and a diamond blade can I use any of them to cut a metal pipe?
You would need a metal cutoff wheel for that. They are cheap at Home Depot or Lowes...
On your next test try marble carrara, calcatta, quartz, all kind of stone, should be more educational.
Have you gotten your hands on the flexvolt grinder? The thing is a beast!

Quality video! Good to see you wear gloves. I hope you put grinder protection cover next time. 👊
Will do thanks!
No need with those diamond blade's they don't explode like fiber disks.
patrick cowan That doesn’t only protect from the explosion of the blade. That also protects from the tile chip splatting to the face.
Make a couple of passes instead of cutting it all the through in one pass , end result no chips or cracks , nice blade.
Can u give me some info on that drill?.Thanks mate

Does this guy hit everything with a diamond pad when he is done?
Yes sir I do! Love the diamond pads, better than rubbing stones.

How does the razor turbo compare to the pearl turbo mesh
Extremely similar!
