I listen to this again when I'm anxious or worried or just struggling with life..I'm not an alcoholic never have been, but I truly understand Rowans story...such an inspiration to keep battling on no matter how dark the clouds become,there is a light at the end of that tunnel...sending love and prayers ❤️ 🙏
Hi great story I have 5 1/2 years myself in AA I am Irish my name Bill Reilly a drummer for 55 years because AA I am spiritually fit and have written 12 poems because I have my emotions back after 35 years of drinking and drugging I attend AA meeting 5 days a week and I believe I am a miracle today I will share my AA inspirational poems to give other struggling alcoholics and addicts hope and AA saved my life.

Thank you for sharing your experience, strength and hope. It's March 27th and here in Canada, we're at the end of the second week of self-isolation and self-distancing whenever we MUST go out. To the best of my knowledge, all the A.A. meetings here in Area 86 -District 12 & 13 are....voluntarily closed. I haven't been to an A.A. meeting in 3 weeks. Donna and I had colds BEFORE the COVIDs 19 virus. Thanks again for sharing.

Yeah I'm helping a buddy in recovery who is a miracle done treatment and can't read or write has other conditions related with autism and is still sober will be picking up a 11 month chip tonight.
He is my first sponsee and I'm just over 2 n 1/2 years so I'm taking him through the book slowly putting it on tape and doing a small bit of reading. Also had to get a program together which will be more easier to go through.. well hopefully it will be, I been working with him 2 weeks. 🙏

I live life with positivity today that's the plan’
Spirituality allows me to be a loving man
I wake up everyday
And hit my knees and begin to pray
Being positive 24 hours at a time
Lets my passion for life begin to climb
It’s a miracle I am sober
I am so grateful my shame and guilt days are over
A new day rises with a new sun
Life is about loving each other and having fun
This sober journey is such an emotional ride
I don’t need alcohol and drugs to make my emotions hide.

Emotional Jail
Life is a rollercoaster they say
Happiness and sadness along the way
I used to live my life in a very dark place
Full of shame and guilt every day.
Drinking and drugging made me numb inside
All my emotions felt like they had died
Loving myself led me to that great sober ride
I walked through hell for most of my life
Because drinking and drugging stabbed me like a knife
Love and positivity
Gave me the strength to walk through hell and find serenity
Hour by Hour
Loving myself lets me see the happiness and joy on this earth
