somewhere around 2003 (i was late into PS1) when i was 5. I cannot stand with the weird controls at the time so i gave it to my mom who usually plays something like puzzle and plattform games. I was surprised when she ended up completing the game by her own.
it was about 1998 and i was six years old. My parents bought me a PSone to Christmas with a CD, which contained some Demo Games (like abes Odysee, Rage Racer and a few more) ánd Rage Racer was my Favorite so my father got the Game and we used to play it together.
About 8/9, Late 90s parents bought it for me and my siblings to play on our PS1, loved it ever since and still play today with Hurricane Hub blasting : )
Brother eventually got a PS1 and it had this on the demo disc it came with. Never got the full game, but played the one demo course plenty. I mostly just loved the environments alongside the track and how lights would turn on if it went dark, lol. Think I was about 9 at that time.
The final stage of Rage Racer (Stage 6) is basically quite easy if you know how to control your car on some of the fastest cars in the game, despite you can clear it simply by finishing in the top 3 at best.
I remember so well when i put on the game and just listening to the music on the tracklist while watching Cars racing eachother in the background. It was on repeat for so long that the 1st placed Car ”lapped” the 2nd positioning Car. Was fun to see how much faster the 1st placed car in each track was compared to 2nd 3d and 4t 😃
@@CerealKiller Yeah, shit load of tracks in the 90's had these. Finding one second hand is next to impossible and honestly, even if you don't mind trawling around the internet's "seven seas", you're gonna have a LOT of headache to track these down. I recall finding Datafile 1 and 2 along with I think 6 Goldmine volumes all ripped into WAV (apparently they don't come originally in CDA and are meant for samplers from what I heard), but I don't remember WHERE I got them.
I would say nothing, you're wired to enjoy what you enjoy. Some grown adults like to pretend that they're animals for fun, we might think it's strange but they enjoy it so, be yourself dude. It's the only way to be.
This song was playing when I beat Stage 6 for the first time, I thought it was so difficult back then! Nowadays stage 6 is a piece of cake, it's easy when you know how :P
@@MrLime528 I agree, I listen to both of them regulary. But still I find the R4-OST to be somewhat... lacking. It's more like music for crusing, not for an adrenaline rush.
Hi everyone, I've got a couple of questions for you. When was your first experience of Rage Racer and how old would you have been?

I was 17. I heard about the game from browsing ROM sites, decided to try it out and was extremely disappointed by how bad it was. XD
"ALL RIGHT!! YOU SMASHED THAT RECORD!! Okay, it's the final lap! Keep it cool!"
"All right! You shattered that record! 2 laps to go."
FINISH.. You did it! Great job!
YOU blew him away!!
You're a
Smooth operator
Excellent cornering!
Nice of them to let Rayman guest star in this song
Yeah!
Oh my god... It's also the SAME Yeah sound just pitched
All they need is the little giggle after
懐かしい! 当時から、namco音楽は秀逸でした。鉄拳3もアレンジが良かったなぁ~
レイジレーサーは心が弾んだよ。
Not only Tekken series and it's music realy shone then) Ace Combat, Airforce Delta, Soul Calibur... Marvelous times!
My childhood memories brought me to this track. Had it in my head ever since
The nostalgia is real! ❤
When you realize that there ACUTALLY was a third game between Revolution and Type4.
Also, I didn't expect Rayman haha.
Theme for when I finish my third coffee
my heart beat is in sync to this song.
The mini was so freakin fast when upgraded loved that thing
I always loved how the model changed with each upgrade. Especially when the hatch opened on the back
I forgot how 90s this sounds, great times
3 2 1 GO!
The Race is on!! Show them what you have got!
A'rite! You shattered that record! 2 Laps to go!
A'rite! You shattered that record! Okay, final lap. Keep it cool....

"You're one smooth operator."

The racer who was always not too far behind you keeping the pressure on as well. Always in your mirror just waiting for you to make a mistake
Jin Kazama's parry combo brought me here!
I swear to god, that's the same "YEAH" as was in Rayman 1.
oh my god, 2 distant corners of my memory have been connected
Holy shit, it is, just a semitone/tone higher in pitch!
Most probably, these sounds may come all of them from a common samples bank 👍
I’ve always thought this

"Too bad you blew it, game over!" always for me when I played the demo 1 disc XD
You threw away a disc that contained Rage Racer or at least a portion of it?
I, I don't know what to say.
I still play that like in my head 24 years later wtf is wrong with me 😅
I would say nothing, you're wired to enjoy what you enjoy. Some grown adults like to pretend that they're animals for fun, we might think it's strange but they enjoy it so, be yourself dude. It's the only way to be.
i remember that too
E x c e l l e n t c o r n e r i n g!
Used to pop my ps1 into audio cd playback mode and listen to this in repeat
1:15 best. Great racing music no question
DOA5 Jacky from VF combo brought me here.
Ayyy same here 4 years later
Iconic theme!
The race is on, show them what you have got!!!
Rage Racer, Colin McRae Rally, Driver 3 in 1.
Great taste you have there. 👌
OMFG! The best 3 in 1
You blew 'em away!
YEAH!
Gonna listen to the whole ost to see if it’s fire or not. Wish me luck ✌️
All the best 👍
You must have bursted into flames and died
I think you might be right
Added this one to my personal Favorite Wicked Retro OST Collection :D
That "Yeah!" sounds like the shout of Claudio in Tekken 7
Memories.

This sounds suspiciously like an Fzero gx track, even though this predates it by like 6 years...
Jacky bryant
Ahsan Khan That's what brought me here!
It uses a sample from KDFM - Power
I like it.
EPIC
I remember this song from the demo
Parry, parry. EWGF, EWGF.
demo 1
crazy music wow
Play it on 0.75x speed. It goes so hard
3!2!1! Go! Great start! Now go for the league!
Another music is rage racer remix:ruclips.net/video/D8OmxDocwvw/видео.html
これぞレイジ。こんなイケイケなのに140kmくらいしか出てねーのなw
Who the F dared to dislike this vid?!?!?! :/
Alex Wijnmaalen some people can't handle the magnificence of Rage Racer
The theme of psx.
Adrenaline
This track alone conveys more aggression and sense of speed than the whole R4 OST together!
i mean, the name of the game is literally "Rage Racer"
@@5SpdFreek lol yeah... they should start a Rage Racer Series, then. ;) As Ridge Racer is not what it used to be...
@@MH-yp6wg R4 was going for a way different tone. Both are great though.

0:24 Rayman? 😳

I think the Japanese pronunciation should be REIJI REISAA~!
Mmm!! :D
