my great grandpa served as a Navy Seal plumber on a ship during Vietnam, my uncle served in the army during the Gulf War and his son now is a part of the army. My mom said that she had a lot of nightmares because she always heard the calls between him and their mom. She said there was always screaming in the background and sometimes they could only talk for 30 seconds or less. i am definitely grateful i don’t have to go through that but am very very thankful for the ones who serve and have respect for the families that can do it. My childhood best friends oldest brother is also a marine as of 2 years ago and miss him a lot. It’s hard not seeing him as much but i’ve gotten to see him twice. his family does get to see him a lot though

My cousin is in the Air Force and whenever he gets deployed and I call him and say “I love you”. In case because I just don’t know. I’m so thankful to have him in my life.

I sometimes get emotional but you can really see how kind hearted Ayden is when he literally tears up over these videos. He’s so sympathetic, understanding, and such a sweetheart. Many people don’t understand compassion and empathy and how to feel what others feel.

My grandfather served in Vietnam and the Army for a year in 1967-1968, and had passed away from cancer last years Mothers Day weekend. I know from the bottom of my heart, he’s a strong and powerful man, and had a great heart, and I’ll never forget the great memories we had together💙🤍

My grandpa was in the Vietnam war and almost died twice. He wasn’t even in the actual fighting war, he was mostly an airforce controller and in the safer areas. He had God on his side and fought through it, luckily he came out alive and is still here today. He actually almost died before he was in the war too, he fell off a cliff and there was nothing at the bottom. He prayed the whole way down and God gave him a bush, there were many miracles that happened to him, and I thank God every day for the love he has for us, because I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for God and the miracles he had for my Grandpa. Love you all!! ❤️❤️

my classmate’s grandpa was in the military
he was the oldest one there, he has many problems with health but still fought for the country
sadly he passed away due to medical conditions, the doctor said that if he retired from the army soon he would hav survived
my classmate was so sad, salute to all the people who fight for us and our country

My great uncle served in the military and my great granddad but before he got to serve in his past war he was on the bus. The war stopped Before he can go there. But they planted a bomb close to the bus blew it up and he couldn't breath without a tube for the rest of his life. Now I realize how much men have done in their this country

I’m a military kid and my dad has been away for so long the last time he went anywhere was Gunsan, South Korea for 13 months. He’s also been away for a 6 months here, 3 months here, 2 weeks, but no matter how long, it is it still hurts whenever he goes, because I never really realized when I was younger that he might get hurt or die when he’s over there…
