Would you switch to Linux from Windows?

Lets stay with windows 10, forget win 11, dont become a poppet of MS. Win 10 is best windows so far anyways.

Well, If you're still using a sandy bridge CPU, it might be time to upgrade.

today updated to 23h2 and encountered large lags and a heavy load on my RAM (7gb/16gb) on the desktop without other programs😢

16GB is not a lot of ram in 2024. (Despite what Apple thinks)

silly question man, any cpu or computer before 2008 most likely will not work with 24h2

Yes, it's mostly your grandma that needs to worry if her 15-20 year old PC will work with the new version of Windows.

No, your processor is too old.

Ty ^^ I'm very angry with Microsoft. So I have decided to pass to Linux with my oldest pc's and laptops. Zorin, MX, Mint. For me this Ms will lose a lot of users. Sorry for my horrible english ;P 😢😅😊 P.s. I'm Italian. There are no more money to buy new things. Every end of month is a mirage.

If you are using such old hardware you can probably not afford new one. Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2019 have extended support till 2029, just saying.

      Linux is good, unfortunately it lacks alternative software from Windows. So far I'm running fine on Win 7, the hardware I have from 2016,5 ... but it is still good: Intel i-7 6700K 4 / 4.2 / @ 4.7 GHz, super cooling Noctua industrial fans: 15 - 25 ° C (25 - 35 ° C in summer - at startup in winter I see sometimes even 8 ° C)! Max performance 42°C / @ 4.7 GHz and max performance: up to 53°C - reviews for this processor state 70°C ... super fast NVMe PCIe SSD: 400 GB Intel + 2 TB Samsung * NAS (2x Synology DS+ (5 a 8 šachet)): 128 TB capacity :)

I upgraded from win7ULTIMATE to win10 PRO 2 month ago, liked win7 but win10 is better so will keep it for very long time now. upgrade was free also, I only replaced power supply, so now all is good and fast with Samsung ssd all is good. Many apps will not even work with Win7 now. try to upgrade for free to W10.
