Thank you so much for this. Just saved me a 2hr trip to the main dealer and no doubt a huge bill.
You should add a “donate” button to your channel. I would happily have donated for this advice. Thank you 🙏 again…

Thank you. The blower stopped working after a 4 week pause in use. Used finger to move fan and it works! The clips on the blower assembly are 50% broken so someone wasn't being careful in the past. 2014 Boxster

Thnx a lot. Worked perfectly for my 991.2 GT3 touring. I made a long stick with soft tip to turn the fan so I did not have to open the blower box cover completely. This to prevent clips breaking off...

I wish I had known this earlier. I’ve had the problem several times and ended up having to take it in to the dealership.

My A/C (991 GT3) is only working by driving at higher speeds (lets say >100 Kmh) but not when moving in the city (30-50kmh). Could a stuck fan cause this issue?

Excellent advice but may i ask a question to the community, is this rare or are porsche so unreliable that fans don't work after a few days rest?

Porsche shares a lot of parts with VW... VW is well um VW! So its ight... better than usa domestic, but 100% NOT a toyota.
It is a high strung vw bug with the engine on the wrong side. This logic is throughout the car. There are many "hacks" and "easy fixes" for these cars but some idiot might take the car to the dealership and keep porsches economy in check via things like this... meanwhile, the true mechanics and DIY'ers are looking at this vid ;)
