Also with Bowers and Mayer, opponents can never catch a break. Add Adams and Meyers as constant threats that you should really double team.. Oh yeah and we got Tre Tucker and Gallup in the rotation as well..

People, ask yourself how good K.C. would be without their great TE. If any team can get an exceptional player, especially a receiver, it's a slam drunk choice to select that player. A similar situation happened to the Raiders in 1982 when they had a really good RB, Kenny King, and they selected Marcus Allen in the draft. Do any Raiders fans regret that choice?

I think his ceiling is even higher than Wallers. The stuff he's able to do in the open field and after the catch is crazy. Sure, we haven't seen in it yet on the NFL level, but the guy looks like he could be a star.

Guys this pick was all about versatility. If you pay attention the Raiders are drafting guys that can do multiple things. Just think of all the actions they can run. You got the best route runner in football, two Swiss army tes, a burner who catches for possession, a pro bowl caliber slot, and a #2 outside threat.
They're doing the same thing with the o line, getting guys who can do multiple things, making sure every role is filled and filled again

With LB's having to stay deep to take away Bowers come across the middle, think of the year Jacobs would have had and the running lanes he'd have to choose from

My concern is that Luke Getsy isn't very creative with TE's. Granted with Bowers you don't really have to be but then why draft him? You already have Mayer, who's a stud! Better blocker, great hands, fast, big target. The only thing stopping Mayer from being an all pro is usage. Harrison Bryant is a better blocker than both of them. I don't think Getsy is the "tons of pre snap motion. Confusion. Kyle Shanahan" type of OC. Not overly upset by the pick but personally I would rather they pick Fuaga then let JPJ fall to them in the second. Then they wouldn't have to reach for a guard prospect in the third because they missed out on their tackle in the first and could've grabbed Blake Corum who was available at 77. That RB room with that line is more in in line with the OC.
I didn't like this pick when it was announced, but if Getsy gets creative with him and the offense I will come around.
