- An unscripted film about the community we call Vermont's Mad River Valley. We like to say 'they come for the mountains, but they stay for the valley.' In this video you will see local farmers, business people, tourists, barns, markets, craft beer, music festivals, skiing, kayaking, running, biking, swimming, golfing and more. Basically everything that steers our community toward the relaxing and enjoyable place it is. We hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoy living, working and playing here in the Mad River Valley.
madrivervalley....
This documentary never gets old!! It seriously makes me tear up every time!!! I LOVE THE MAD RIVER VALLEY!!
I lived as a bum at the App Gap at the top ofCamel’s Hump; now telling die-hard skiiers on the WC where to go
Born and raised in Vermont, it's true, beautiful place, nice people, it may get cold but I love my home and proud to be a Vermonter
Hat's off to Mt. Mansfield Media for producing this excellent video. It seems to truly capture what it's like to live in the Mad River Valley of Vermont.
Come for the mountains, stay for the valley... indeed
This wonderful video really brings me back to the wonderful 7 years I lived in Warren!! I did truly thank God every day!!
awesome video of mrv! love it! so glad I live in Vermont!!!
Beautiful people !!
if this place is truly the gem described in the video...then i dont think i would be sharing it with the whole world. i feel places like this are bettered discovered through self discovery and people you meet along the way, not social media
You got that Right!
Absolutely wonderful indeed.
What a very--nicely done piece of documentation on the-- Mad River Valley!!! ❤ ❤❤
It's not quite Heaven, but it's Almost There. I am incredibly pleased with how this documentary portrays the MRV. It's unscripted and genuine. Well done.
congratulation, Susan, nice job!
I agree, it casts the Valley in a positive light without being insincere or fluffy. Well done.
Well-made video. Nice place. I must go there instead of Utah some time.
I sit for hours watching the cams, I have been next door at New Hampshire I wished we could have visited you. Maybe when this COVID thing has died down, I will board a plane for 19hrs, then another couple hrs on a smaller plane. First place is Warren Store, where I can wave to my family on the web cam. 😊
God, I love that area... My wife and I visit as much as we can...We don't ski just come for the life.. Love the valley and the people. We don't have to do anything but just be when we're there... And we stay at the wonderful White Horse Inn.. Bob and Allen work hard to make your stay amazing... We may consider moving there when I retire..
I can only imagine what my ggg-father must have felt when he left this place for Gettysburg. Thank you Mad River folks. Without you, I wouldn't bee here.
Wondered why Frendly Gathering moved here! Now I know! It truly is a magnificent place & I have been in Vermont since 1974!!
I paint plein-air around this area quite often. Such a beautiful and inspiring place.
Love it! see you in July!
We want to be there that is for sure! Thanks Eric Friedman for sharing this video. We have probably seen it 20 times in our NYC home and shared it with our friends.
Beautiful Place. WOWWWWW
Happy to be here!!
The Sweetest Life
I would've liked to see more shots of our school HARWOOD!
Oh my gosh!!!!! Did anyone see the girl in the panda hat at like minute 5??? That's me!!! I
not to be a downer, but it seems more like an ad, targeting people from new york city and boston to come and move in? i grew up in the mad river valley, and it needs to stay a "well-kept" secret. maybe a "as well-kept as possible secret"?
The film is unscripted. It's actually 'selling' the dream of this little place we call the MRV. We think people visit places they wish they could live. In fact, much of our community here is made up of people who visited at one point. This film represents the authentic mad river valley, which is more than just a place to visit. That is the story we shot for and the story you now see. Really great things are never a secret, they are just protected by those who realize how great they are.
We are from NYC and discovered the Mad River Valley in 2011 when my husband suggested we go there so he could attend the tennis programs at Sugarbush and at The Bridges. We've spent every summer there since and my husband is always telling me not to tell anyone about the place so that it remains the gem we fell in love with. LOL.
@@madrivervalley7215 We watched this video in 2016 then visited for 10th Anniversary and then worked our butts off to fix our old house and move here from NJ in 2018. People moving here hope to add to this community not to change it to the one we came from we had enough of that there.
Everything? I'd like to say... the valley doesn't have an OCEAN and ...ah.. and... ahh ... and it doesn't have an ocean either ..does it ? .. and ... oh yea no ocean. :-)
Mount Mansfield Media did a fantastic portrayal of my favorite place in the whole world. Made me cryed for home.
Just one critique. The IndianaJones hillbilly calling the cows ... he can't be for real.. is he? He so over the top he's got to be hired actor. Right ?
I live in southern New England and will say I see license plates from various states but seldom if ever a green plate of Vermont here. Must be Vermonters won't leave the state.
Trump 2020
Love this area of Vermont, but almost no diversity. The only downfall. Otherwise, pretty idyllic
Eric Johnson you have got to be kidding.
There’s very little historic or current diversity in Vermont, because, to put it straight, we didn’t “buy anyone” in the past centuries, But does have history of helping everyone of all origins. Burlington has large refugee community. Urban or rural, Vermont is very accepting and you should have nothing to worry about
Lovely place and lovely people, very glad I spent two vacations there with my wife and kids.
