What would you say is the dollar amount on all the equipment to have; minus the dedicated lab top? What website/store would you recommend? Also can you explain about locking the vin after the tune is installed and do you have to lock it as well.

Rah brother you got it for sure! And I believe I got my v2 from alligator performance and it’s like 1000 bucks then any windows laptop will work and then you can download the latest version of efi live software on efi live.com for free!
But how did you obtain the tunes to put them on the efi live tool? I need to reflash my truck and put tunes on for a stock trans but has a bigger turbo and injectors

Hahaha sorry bro really am about the glare it’s very very hard to video tape a computer screen especially out side if you email me I can show you a little more if you have any SPECIFIC questions you know! And I don’t think so about the ppei tunes I have access to my guys because we are good friends but I’m almost certain you won’t be able to change anything on the big guys tunes

They made it seem like it was so easy a caveman could do it. I might get another truck truck I can screw around with that I don't care so much about and try to figure it out. All the shops around me that do custom tuning don't use efi live so I don't know where I would learn it unless trial by error

@@seal.team.six.sealcoating716 Buy the Flashscan v3 and software matching your truck GM or Dodge, then find someone who will give you/help you with a tune file for yours and a dsp5 switch. You have the tools...someone else has the knowledge. Best option these days unless you find a company outside country to help. The autocal gets locked to a tuner and flashes their file...the flascan let's YOU do the tuning and modify files.

I bought a V3 and dsp5 tunes for my 05 lly duramax, am i required to buy a vin license to be able to flash and tune my ECM?
The flascan comes with 2 vin licenses. When you flash it there's pop-ups clarifying you want to use up a license

Any tuner who does efilive tunes...but requires an autocal or flashscan to flash to ecm

yes if you have the other programs unlocked I just use the duramax software
