For this battle, i used my favorite units: Vishnu, Sraosha and Amon. It felt so amazing to win, Shiva is my favorite Hindu god and it's always amazing to have him in the squad.
Question, how the hell did you manage to go so over the lvl cap with the stats? I know incenses exist but they're so rare and time consuming. I tried chain fusing with all the miracles available and I still can't get my demons with such high stats. What's the secret to getting those 120+ stats demons?
Use high level demons to fuse low level ones. They will have significantly increased stats. Then use them to make high level demons ( the high level ones will have increased stats) then repeat the cycle over 2-3 playthroughs.
Also are you able to change the Nahobino's skills to whatever you want? I know that you can't change the stat points unless you do a new game or new game plus.
As long as you have the essence for a demon, or Aogami's essences, and they aren't demon exclusive, yes. You can use any move you want on the protag. As long as you have all the miracles. But towards the end it's easy to get the necessary ones if you budget your glory.
I’m now about 10 days into my first SMTV playthrough. I just beat Nuwa at the Diet Building (hard fight that took me two tries. If it was the full health bar, I likely wouldn’t have made it). I’ve been using Mermaid since she was my MVP against Hydra. I was planning on keeping her until about Level 20, but now, I think I’ll go all the way with her, even if Anahita ends up being a better Ice demon. Though, my plan is to sacrifice her to fuse Ana, and then, later in the game, when I have enough essences, I’ll Grimoire Mermaid and start building her up.
In SMTiv and Iva there was a skill called “doping” that increased the hp cap of the party for a single battle above maximum. The skill came back in form of “bowl of hygia” which allows healing skills to temporarily heal above cap. Demeter’s unique skill “ Elysian Harvest” does that naturally.
To add to Callie's reply: You can use all of your active demons' magatsuhi skills as Nahobino by learning a certain miracle. Forgot the name, but it's rather expensive. Might be 100 glory or so.
You'd have to load a save from before you beat him, but you can still fight him as long as you don't beat the final boss. Like after the alignment lock fight for example iirc.

There’s two ways i used a mixture of both,the compendium, you can further fuse demons with awesome stats and abilities to make the primary demons required to fuse for mermaid And 2 farm for shit ton of stat boosters, as i said i used both for the resistances and immunities
not as much as agni but its prolly because shiva has some associations with fire/burning (eg. Nataraja, Pashupatastra, his first wife self-killing in sacrificial fire etc.)

Different side quests unlock the magatsuhi of their respective race, i suggest unlocking them all, some are really useful
