I own two farm Mac saws and they have both been very dependable. I use good oil and high grade gas, do my routine maintenance and am impressed with many aspects of the saws. I have kept both bone stock as I see no need to modify them currently. I do have a name brand saw that I was forced to modify due to restrictive epa nonsense.
Got my f380 clone a few months ago. Seems like a nice saw. That one looks like it runs real nice too. For someone who just needs a bigger saw on occasion, these Chinese clones just seem to make sense. Why drop $1200+ on a stihl or husky big saw you don't use that often.
Hi Doug, I’m really enjoying your channel! I just ordered one of those FarmMac 660 saws to try. Do you have any advice on any tune-ups/ fixes it needs out of the box? I’m fairly new to saws, so I figured I’d ask you. Thanks!
Fortunately, I’ve heard no complaints on this model. I run 40:1 fuel mix and leave it a little rich on the first few tanks. Your tune may be different depending on altitude and temperature, but my carb settings right now are 1 turn out on L jet, and 1-1/4 out on H jet and I’m only on my second tank. They’re fantastic saws!
Walt on afleetcommand recommended replacing the decompression valve, fuel filter and spark plug with OEM parts. I’ve had the NS892 for over a year. Been great saw to run. Pulls a 36” with ease. Now running a 28” large enough for what I’m doing and easier to carry. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine.
The Neo Tec NS 892 is different than the Farmer Tec. My G660 pro required replacement of the trigger and multi function lever to get a high idle. The Neo Tec also seems to have a little more power.
I haven’t noticed it a lot. This one was struck by lighting years ago and started dying on one side. The Ash are dead and a lot of maples are starting to go.
Lol, you’re thinking of Echo like 7310XS or 4310XS, although it did come from Germany. When Kevin LaVanway builds a chainsaw it becomes a “XS” model. So if you see an XS sticker on a saw, just know it’s a bad boy💪🏼
Doug... We've talked about this. When you use that 681 in a video about clone saws... You know what I mean?!? Kinda steals the show that's all I'm sayin.
Been running a g660 milling for a few years now had a couple minor annoyances pop up, however nothing I couldn't fix and be back at it same day. Probably could have fed the kids less and bought a used ms660 for twice the price. These cheap saws fill a need but I'm sure they won't replace professional brands with people that can afford it.
7 stihl, 4 husqvarna, 2 echo on work bench they all break just because you pay more don't mean much ...looking to start burning through these cheap saws as long as they do the job makes me money every thing is disposable now don't care what name is on the side.

That’s no joke, she’s a ripper! Have good one Indy!
Sweet saw! I too have gone too a back brace.
Indiana, that looks like a great chainsaw 👍🏼, mate. That thing sounds and looks the part.
Seems to be a great running saw

I'm interested in seeing more of that sharpening pouch

@@IndianaDougSweet, that is good news! I appreciate the tips on tuning as well👍 I can’t wait for it to arrive 😁. Thanks!

@@jonathanhoekstra6174 not that it’s substantially different, but are you sure Walt isn’t referring g to the Farmertec 660 clone?

There’s a reason I have 4 of these F660BVs.
Hey Doug, in IN. Are the white oaks dying there? Here in VA. They are dying like crazy. I'm thinking bore beetles?
I haven’t noticed it a lot. This one was struck by lighting years ago and started dying on one side. The Ash are dead and a lot of maples are starting to go.
I have one also! Great, but very thirsty! Lol 🤩🤩
Well that saw didn't have any trouble throwing up a rooster tail of saw dust. Well done. Be blessed my friend.
Thanks, you too!
Not too shabby...
Fun to run this one
I knew I recognized you Doug. Nice video. No advice to give here. Take care brother.
Hey thank Mike, hope you’re well buddy👍🏻
Purdy good runner seems to be.
Have you done anything with the nh892, I'm contemplating that instead of the 660
892 is designated for the 92cc Stihl clones. Did you mean NH-895, Husqvarna 395 clone? It’s still stock
@@IndianaDoug yeah that's the one lol
I know that back brace probably helps your back feel better but it will give you the biggest hiatal hernia if you wear it too much
Never heard of that
Sepertinya mesin sangat bertenaga
Very to the nice!
Greetings from Northern New Hampshire. Hey, Doug are you using a full skip tooth chain, just curious? Thanks.
No sir, full comp full chisel factory Neotec chain
@@IndianaDoug Cool, Run fast. Grind those rakers down and run, bro!
Nice Chainsaw...... cool 😎.
Greetings from Germany
Peter
Thanks Peter.
👍👍
Might just be Mr. Doug...sounds strong...
Let’s see how long she lasts.
@@IndianaDoug 4 oz. to a gallon...STIHL 064 original diet...
@@Brian2bears so you’re tellin e85 with dollar store 2 stroke mix at 50:1 isn’t a good idea? (Asking for a friend🤣)
@@IndianaDoug Right. The oem original diet was 32:1. I would feed the clone good stuff as well.
XS? so did your 681 come from Europe?

Yeah, I kinda like it
Me too! Good power on this one.
Tho it's no xs 681, she's a runner👍🏻
A lot cheaper too😆

Ahh you did say that🤦🏻♂️😆
Hey, will neo tec copy a dolmar?
No, trust me I’ve asked already🤣
@@IndianaDoug🤣
I guess don't cut through till all your top cuts are done and peavey it
Ended up using the tractor to turn it over on the rest of that and another big stick of the same Oak.
Don’t seem like it does too bad.
True i like the color 2
Yeah, but best clone saw? Meh.
@@ozdatman What is your favorite/best cloan suggestion?
Neo noke
Just having fun you seem like a cool guy
@@jonathanfierberg3807 thanks👍🏻
Is it better than neotec nh865?
Doug I would go to chainsaw court to back you up and I will visit you in chainsaw prison
😁
How dare you review a product you purchased ! !
Chinese junk. It will run for a little while, and then it won't.
That’s true with anything. You’re comment sounds like a 3rd grader made it. Give us some details🤷🏻♂️
