- Abby Martinez lost custody of her daughter Yaeli to the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services because Martinez did not fully support her daughter “transitioning” to a boy. Yaeli changed her name to Andrew and began taking cross-sex hormones, but still struggled with depression. At 19, Yaeli took her own life. Martinez says DCFS took her daughter from her.

@@blisserio most likely they have an idea of male traits that they feel they have. Puberty is such a difficult time for teens. It's confusing, hormones are new. Why not teach children to love themselves as they are? Get them help that deals with self esteem. Help them understand that if they still want to transition when they are adults they can make that decision. Love them as they are. Let them wear what they want. Parents have to set boundaries and the government is taking that away from them.
Taking a 16 year old girl from her mother is horrible. Parents aren't obligated to agree with everything their child does. To think they do, is rediculous.

Kids can be cruel and say horrible things, today I realized adults can be just as cruel in their faux attempts to assuage a child's self-pity.They will thoughtlessly and heartless rip a child from their mother, deny the mother access, tell the mother she is to blame for their child's condition, then slowly and methodically transition the child from vibrant life to the morose grave.
I wish I could hug that mom, tell her she did everything she could, she tried so hard, she loved her child, and she is not to blame. She was never to blame.

It's hard to admit, because I know Covid took a lot of lives, but this reminds me of how thankful I am to Covid and the lockdowns. My daughters were on a similar path. My 14 year old was cutting herself, starving herself and wanted to wrap her chest so she didn't look like a girl anymore. Her older sister wasn't ask drastic, but supported her. It was the "cool thing" to do at school! We were in counseling, my daughter was on psych meds. She had 2 mental health hospitalizations back then!
But when Covid hit and they came out of school, and then it was so confusing going back and we were all scared of it for a while, it caused our family to have to be super close to one another. We had just moved into a small apartment and we got internet so we could watch movies and stuff together.
They never went back to high-school after that. And I am so very thankful!! I don't care what any of my family members or friends say- oh well!
My daughters are getting their GEDs. One is going into beauty school, the other wants to travel.
Covid removed them from that environment at school and it possibly saved my daughters life!

Same here! My niece (11 at the time) was dragged into an LGBT club at school and the teacher brainwashed her into thinking she should have been born a boy because she displays masculine traits (the traits that simply labeled me a tomboy way back in the 2000's.)

My heart breaks for this mother. I am so sorry for her loss. Yaeli was a beautiful girl and deserved better from a system that is now openly abusing vulnerable children. The people who took Yaeli as a MINOR from her family, without cause, should all be in prison. They are directly responsible for her death.

The affirmative/informed consent model that doesn’t require extensive evaluation prior to transitioning is the standard now, rather than the old exploratory model which is now deemed “conversion therapy”. They also pushed for the ability for schools to affirm students’ gender identity without even the parents’ knowledge.
In California, kids are allowed to be removed from the homes of parents if they don’t immediately affirm their child. It is the modern trans movement that pushed for all of that specifically, when it wasn’t like this at all before.
No other medical condition is treated that irresponsibly and recklessly without proper vetting. The trans movement seems to be the only one against actual higher safety and research, and now that being trans has become a fad among troubled teens, this is the tragic result of that. The government wouldn’t have signed any of it into law if trans lobbyists hadn’t pushed for it in the first place.

I am so so so sorry to hear this. I encountered it with my granddaughter. I said 'ok, so you want to be a boy, that's fine. Go help your father lifting that stuff. Go chop wood for us. Go and help digging the drain to get the water off the property'..... I made her work so hard, like a young man would. Took approximately 3 weeks and she quickly turned back into a beautiful girl. We dealt with the bullying at school by taking her out of school. She works now and is a very happy and makes lots of money. We need to stop being afraid or comply with wrongdoing. We need to take it on with lots of courage. THEY ARE OUR CHILDREN, OUR FUTURE, OUR LIFE.

I can completely relate to this family and mom, my daughter went to a LGBTQ group meeting in Grade 7, and she was never the same again. She believed she was a boy, then trans, the bisexual, etc. She completely changed her personality and her and I drifted apart. It breaks my heart, she’s my beloved child and she thinks I hate her because I don’t accept the LGBT lifestyle. I know she was brainwashed into it.

That idea about "transphobia" is drilled into their head over and over. There is no concept of loving someone without having to like them.
Anyone who has children can understand this concept. The dichotomy of simultaneously loving a human so much you'd blind yourself so they could see but also feeling the need to throat punch them. The scary thing is getting her to the right help that won’t keep trying to convince her she’s going through an identity crisis due to her sexuality. Learning about stories like this help remind me that I made the right decision to reject LGBT ideology. Even family members have criticized me for rejecting it and speaking out against it.
Who knows why this child committed suicide? I certainly don't know. We never heard one word from this child. We have no idea what was going on with her or him. I sympathize with the mother. It is a terrible thing to lose a child no matter what the reason.

There is no excuse for this kind of policy. There are so many kids in much worse situations that the state does not remove. Every effort should have been made to provide individual and family therapy before removing a child for LGBTQ issues from a family to prove there is abuse and not just fear or paranoia the child has that the family “won’t accept them.” That’s a normal fear teens have about all kinds of issues in their life, and most of the time it’s their own perception and fear not actual abuse or criminal neglect going on. The state should be held accountable for the children it harms and puts/leaves in lethal situations.
I am angry they tore this family apart and left this child in so much distress that suicide felt like the only solution. No one should ever have to feel that way.
I’d show up to school with burn marks and a clothe as a bandaid, teachers asked what happened and I told them about the abuse. Never was I taken out of the home even though I should have and there was SX abuse.

My niece isn’t allowed social media. When she was 14 she was asking her mum about it. My sister took her out of school and homeschooled her and she soon started talking about how stupid it all was. Social media is only one avenue to all this crap.

That damned social media crap. Makes children lazy, spoiled, ungrateful, brainwashed, juvenile delinquents half the time. And that's just to name a few. Teenagers deal with a lot of emotions, hormones and changes through puberty. It can be overwhelming.
It's sad how this teenager was preyed by a school promoted quite like a cult-club. They offered her a reason for her distress and a quick solution. And she was desperate enough to believe their words.
She was then taken away from her family, lead to believe that if she wasn't catered enough, she would commit suicide but she was pretty much still a child.
Even grow up men will cry for their mothers, seek shelter on them when they are facing a lot of pain, and this girl was forced to face that pain with a bunch of strangers...
The system failed her, and without a doubt, had a hand in what happened to her.
Absolutely they might as well have helped because that's what they did in regards to her mental health and well being. Their nonsense policies which have no factual, moral or scientific proof to back them. And now they have factual, moral and scientific evidence to prove that what they are doing is wrong and extremely dangerous.
As a mother this is so heartbreaking. Every day I’m more confident in my decision to homeschool and not allow my daughter to use social media. So sad.

My heart goes out to this mom. Praying for comfort and healing.
I did not have caring attentive parents but I had a friend who told me when I was in my early teens that many girls look like boys when hormones begin working and that was something normal. I was extremely dissapointed with myself for being a tomboy and one day he said to me not to worry and be patient, for I'd bloom in my own terms. "Just don't expect to be the delicate type of girl because you were born to be strong, ugly duckling". It was painful to go through severe acne, bleedings, body changings while being ignored by parents and at school. My friend may have saved me, wherever he is now I thank him for seeing the swan beneath the tomboy.

My mom (Hispanic from south texas) is 71. She says when she was 5 or so she wanted to be a boy so, so bad. She even wanted to be named Timmy! Thankfully this was the 50s, her parents were overworked and exhausted, poor, and had too many mouths to feed. I'm sure my grandparents just ignored this phase. It frightens me to think that my mom's life would've been different if she'd been born in 2015 to rich, progressive parents !

From ages 3 to 13 I wanted to be a boy because it seemed like their lives were exciting and they had fewer restriction and reservations. However, I was never a boy and I knew it. I'm 42 and have 2 kids. Thank God that my mother never brought up anything about gender identity. Many years later, she said she was worried for a bit but she just waited and watched. All I really was, was an extremely free spirited girl who hated 'girly' stuff. If I'd been born in this generation, my life would have likely been a mess.

I worked in Childrens Homes for 6 years in the UK where some children were removed from home for minor things but then ended up in childrens homes for 10 years for no reason... a lot of them could of been reunited with family as there were no risks involved but the fact that local councils get 3000 per child A WEEK for that child to be there definatley influenced the decision !! Sone children btw needed to be in care homes due to safety issues but ud say that 40% did not need to be and it's all to do with making $$$$$

1) What is the difference between boys and girls?
2) What could you do with a transitioned body that you can’t do with the one you already have? Why do those things matter to you?
3) What will you do if you transition as much as you can and it’s still not enough?
As a friend calls them, ANTISOCIAL workers. People, warn your children about ending up in the system. I was a foster parent and you do not want your children in foster care or a group home. Caseworkers care nothing for these children, as the mother says, they are just a number. The confidentiality the letter mentioned has nothing to do with confidentiality for the child or family, and it has everything to do with providing these agencies with confidentiality to continue their evil work. These jobs unfortunately attract people with a desire for power and I watched the so-called professionals use their power to harm my foster daughter.

I work with homeless youth with mental health challenges and they leave home because they say the family doesn’t support them in transitioning. I clearly see their mental health is affecting their decision but the doctors keep giving them hormone therapy. None of it brings happiness and they are even more depressed than before even they transitioned. Sad world we live in.

My daughter went through this for about a year and a half in middle school with her transgendered friends and I supported her all the way and her changes. After a while, she realized it was just a phase and she’s happy that that phase is over and I am too!!! If I didn’t support her, it could’ve ended differently.

The hypocrisy of the system when a kid is bullied in school because of their looks like being overweight, physical appearance, short stature. The child that is being bullied has low self esteem and tends to get depressed. The school says they can't get involved and cross their arms. But the minute a child is saying they are confused about their identity suddenly they can get involved and have all the support groups. The question is if a child says mom I'm too short I'm going to transition from 5 feet to 6 can they do it? And if not he/she is not happy? Life is not about making your children happy it is about guiding them and teaching them you can't always have your way!

I am the girlfriend of a trans man, we always talk about how if we had been born in these times, we would both have been accused of being trans men because we shared the same in childhood: We always wore short hair, very masculine clothes, we played with children... Even I went one step further because I told everyone that I wanted to be and look like my dad.
The difference here is that he is a trans guy who started his treatment until a few years ago after years of therapy. Bc even if you are transgender, starting hormonal treatments at an early age is something very violent for your biological body and even many trans people do not want to have gender reassignment surgeries. Why? For the same reason, very few have dared to do it because it can bring you more problems than advantages.
Now, if my boyfriend could not and should not have been exposed to hormonal treatment or surgeries since he was a child even though they knew he had gender dysphoria... Imagine if they had done all that with me, that I am currently a cis gender woman and I am completely happy like that. Right now I would be taking therapy to detransition and psychological or even psychiatric therapy for having tried to change my body when deep down it was not what I wanted.
I still think that the trans community deserves love, respect and visibility, and in truth I know that many will hate me simply for dating a trans person and accepting the community but, It scares me what the LGBT community (specifically the American one) is doing now. The concept of gender was something very beautiful and real until they began to contradict themselves and want to talk about trans childhoods when they don't even know how neuronal and psychological development of children works.
I have known boys who dress up as princesses and when they grow up they are super masculine and girls who hated skirts until they grew up... What's more, there are tomboys, drags... According to current logic, they are trans because they prefer aesthetics of the opposite gender.
I hate that knowing that the trans community needs so much more information and visibility, they just spread harmful misinformation, because cases like these happen and it genuinely hurts me to see how people admit that they were never transgender and the community made them believe that, Or is this woman who lost her daughter because of it.
My boyfriend was the one who shared this video with me, and he told me that it hurt him so much to know that his own community was doing the same damage as homophobes and transphobics, and how he no longer felt safe
You and your bf seem great. The sad thing is, gender care CAN be life saving for some people but it needs time. If a teen is experiencing gender dysphoria, then the solution is to get them therapy, and maybe a social transition. Then when they’re older, they can get it done. Only in the most serious cases, should hormones SOMETIMES be involved. Take them away, or evict the offending parent? The ABC Group NEEDS to stay out of families homes. Not every child that is depressed, sad or angry is gay, lesbian or wanting to be a different sex. Everyone at the school, to include the other student, should be held accountable for this tragedy. No parent should have to go through this. The problem in California, like NY and Virginia for example, is that the schools, teachers union and governments truly believe the child are state property. They believe the children belong to them and not the parents. A parents job is to feed, clothe and a roof. They believe parents should stop being parents to their children.
If you’re the father all you have to do is pay child support. If you’re mother you pay for clothes and food and get them to school.
The LGBTQ groups and orgs stopped caring about actual gay people a long time ago. Funding for gay support and safe spaces has been dropping each year; it’s all about trans and “queer” people now. Gay people are being bullied and harassed in their own community now too, just because they have no interest in sleeping with trans people.
I think a lot of these people are just narcissists obsessed with validation. Many don’t even actually seem to be trans, just power hungry. It’s definitely become a cult at this point.

The fact that so many parents whose children come out as "trans" all have the same story of suffering from depression and other mental issues is hust heartbreaking. There's a definite pattern present which the medical community is choosing to ignore . It's frustrating that the underlying mental issues aren't being addressed and theyre just slapping on the label of "oh you're just not happy with your gender and "switching" will fix everything." Puberty is an extremely difficult and confusing time in every person's life. The hormones, being uncomfortable in the changes in your body, transitioning to adulthood is not easy. Mental health is something that seriously needs to be addressed. Social media and the internet are huge catalysts for this idoleology. I have a coworker whose daughter is going through the same thing. The daughter suffers from severe anxiety and dperession and some years ago came out as trans to her mother. Her mother however is accepting of her daughter's wishes because she surrounds herself with a lot of people from the alphabet community and just loves to brag about how she has a "son" like it's nothing. The mother is so obsessed with her own personal life always trying to get laid even mentioning to this daughter about how she needs her sex. Like damn your daughter is crying out to you for help and you're more worried about sex?? I was surprised to hear that her daughter's therapist was advising against a double mastectomy because in california, they're so hell bent of gender affirming care. I hope her daughter wakes up and realizes the truth and doesn't have do too much damage to herself.

Look at the final insult, in their comentary , the state services who took her daughter away, call her Andrew. Total denial to the end, of their causal relationship in this destruction of this young woman.

But what is super dangerous as well, is what your other daughter said. That Yaeli went to this LGBTQ meetings at school and if she would stop going there, they would start bullying her. There's the beginning of all this evil things. They got so aggressive and defense.. terrible.
God help this poor mother to overcome this tragedy.

this happen very similar to my lil cuz , they brainwashed her , her friends poisoned her mind and the social media is very influence to these kids, tricking them. It's messed up

This needs to be heard and shared a million times over. Keep sharing mama, you can no longer help your daughter, but by sharing what the so called experts and child professionals did to her, your story will help other families from going through that same pain. 🌹

I agree with you. I am going through almost the same thing. I feel like the system divides and breaks families.
Jesus Christ this is a disgusting and soul-crushing story. I want to hug this woman, so bad. Just hold her and tell her she was a great mother that did everything she could, to tell her none of this was her fault and her daughter is no longer in pain.
These fucking doctors, psychiatrists, schools, CPS, and politicians told this woman she was a neglectful and dangerous mother to her child, put the weight of her child's mental illness on her and made her bare the encumbrance as if she was to blame. They took any chance she had to help her daughter, then, basically took her daughter's life. None of them have any remorse, they shoulder no burden, they legitimately see no wrong done on their behalf. They are monsters, rabid animals. I don't say this out of emotion or without thought, the person or people, from judge to CPS agent, deserve criminal charges. I'm loathe to not say death.
To instigate all this and try to put the shame on this beautiful mother is an atrocious and immoral act. It is instances like this where I sincerely hope there is a God, and he sees all.
