If you use manual with clutch you'll often pull away more. For tuning I normally use 4,3,51. Slightly changes on the track but using the handbrake a little before cornering will really improve your lap times.👍
There used to be a shader package that did exactly this, though it got removed some time back. It was dependant on numerous texture packages though that had to be built up by layer and was a tremendous pain in the ass doing all of them per car. I did about half of the vanilla cars in a mod pack, though I doubt the feature is still available due to the way Bugbear has modified the data folder for mods.

Textures don't hit wreckfest for fps nearly as hard as the grass and foliage system does. In the event you're having said issues, having everything on ultra and grass low to off will provide an amazing performance buff.
An upgraded Stepvan (237 PI, I think) is actually quite competitive against B-class or Derby AI. Apart from its lack of top speed, I really like how it drives. (of course, I usually drive big slidey sedans) - Ou! And the Small Scoop hood on the Gorbie is glitched on PS4, exposing the engine. T'is very cute.
I believe you had a bit of lag and that's why you were losing out on the straits, you can see most cars that go by, twitch a little forward every few seconds
I've seen/heard the numbers of hours a lot of streamers/content creators put in on some games and I'm honestly always pretty shocked at just how insanely low those numbers normally turn out to be in a lot of cases O.o To be fair tho Forza and GTA are the money makers on this channel I'd imagine.

Have you ever tried racing against the Class S cars? It's part of the trackpack 1 or 2 and it's all A333 Speedbirds and they mean business! They aren't trying to take you out, they're instead all in it to win it. Either solo or with the crew would be awesome. I need almost everything a car can give me (except armor because that affects handling adversely and I need the extra power anyway!) to win, sometimes, at Black Sails Valley for instance. Sandstone Alt., which the A.I. does poorly at normally is usually a great battle also. Bone Breaker is seriously hard to win because they all stay in a group and just race. Which makes Eagles Peak a little easier to win. I'm addicted to the Class S challenge! New track group in TP2 also called Coyote Park that is good, try the new tournament store buy for the Bulldog (drag strip mod-it was bugged so might have to buy twice to get the drag wheels) and take it to Coyote Park oval, works good at Talledaga also but there is one braking corner at Coyote oval that turns that track into an instant classic.
I love it when you race Wreckfest. There's a useful wee mod that raises the third person view. It's allowed on all tracks and multiplayer. did you adjust the tuning (where available)? It makes a huge difference.

I have Wreckfest. And I love it. But unfortunately I can only play certain maps, cuz on the others the framerate drop is immense. And idk if its the gpu, or the fact that my motherboard is so old. I have an RTX 2060 Super, so i dont think its that.
You spelled it right. I guess that it might be the same soundfile. Except for some AAA racing sims out there that use custom sounds, most games that include some form of racing use readily availabe sound libraries for their cars.
I think your lack of straight line speed is actually just you not taking the corners as well and having the same vehicle as everyone else. Because you're in the same vehicles you have the same acceleration rate, so if somebody comes out of a corner a little bit faster than you they'll continue to be faster than you until they hit their top end at which point you also have the same top end so you don't actually catch up.

You come to expect that in GTA with catch-up and slipstream but not wreckfest Especially with AI Usually you have one big crash and you have to restart because there’s no way you’re going to get podium

You should set the AI to the supervan, make max AI spawn, and set damage to intense. Then bully the AI and have fun.
